Where/how to change the Refresh Rate (Hz) of a Custom Kernel? - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

How or where do I change the refresh rate in a custom kernel, I have a J5 Pro, and all the custom Roms use the same kernel that runs at 70hz, and I don't have an genuine screen because mine broke and I can not stand the Stock Rom anymore... ( I can't use 70hz, my screen starts to flicker when turn off and on ).
Sorry bad English. Since no one there answers me I came to ask a little help here.

[Q] Perfomance control in smooth rom 5.2 is missing

After I flashed smooth rom with motley kernel the performance menu is missing ?
I flashed v 5.0 and the performance menu is there .. anyone could tell me its supported in v5.2 or not ?
Just use a 3rd party app to control kernel parameters.
I really don't think a kernel can just make a ROM feature vanish just like that! Check with other kernels.

I tried with the other kernels in the rom like trinity kernel . its not a feature in v5.2 it needs an app like setcpu to work
My point exactly.
I started smooth using 5.0 w franco loved it till I got tired of goo yelling at me to upgrade.
I moved to 5.1 and started reading that franco had gone john rambo so the consensus seemed to go with the m kernal instead, the developer recommended trickster mod in conjunction. I used both and thought neither fit well with 5.1 because I started getting serious heat as well as my screen going yellow. It could be both but my hardware was fine before that build and I did make sure to keep the juice turned down. not even Col samuel Trautman can save that nexus. watch out for that M kernal it was running 300 faster than it should have at boot 5 days ago. If I were a betting man that could be one reason if it wasnt an accident something also was wrong with the orientation of the navigation bars in the couple hours I got to play with it. Good luck
edit: Both of those kernels were good not maniacs who snap and run into the woods(sorry again I was not implying that at you folks who work hard on them), it was very a smooth experience but the kernels felt like hotrods in the store I was shopping for a gas efficient hybrid. he said he just wanted to be left alone nobody listened

I am new to S5 and I have some questions about ROMs and stuffs.

I know what rooting and custom ROMs are, I had a Nexus 5 and I was a flashoholic. In weird turn of events now I have an S5 and some questions popped up. Here they are (You can answer just one or few, I'm just interested in everything, so maybe that is too much questions a bit, sorry) :
1. What stuff would I lose if I went away from stock to LineageOS? (Camera blobs, fingerprint scanner, heart rate monitor, gestures, etc?)
2. Is the battery saver on stock comparable to alternatives on LineageOS (or any other ROMs)?
3. What are advantages of Lineage over stock? (Other that getting rid of all the bloat)
4. How can I get maximum battery life on my G900F?
5. Can I flash other S5 version ROMs on G900F? ( I know that probably not, but what are the most simmilar versions that wouldn't brick if I flashed baseband/recovery/bootloader on mine)
6. Battery mods?
7. It's my first time having an Amoled device, now most of my things are set to total black for battery saving reasons, any tips and tricks?
8. Tell me anything you think that I shloud be aware of.

Thanks!
1. Oh..
2. That is cool! How does it work?
3. Yeah, I never saw stock running faster than CyanogenMod, same probably goes here.
4. Thanks, I used greenify on my other devices.
5. So, just this one, ohkays.
6. I meant hardware mods. Like on Nexus 5 you could cut a piece of metal and insert a LG G2 battery, which was bigger in capacity. I know there are "increased capacity" batteries for S5, but I don't know which are legit.
7.
8. Okay

Why i am not moving on Custom roms?

First thing is Charge rate is pretty much better on Global Miui 8 and 9 both..
1-Charge rate of 1600mAh+ well as on custom roms it touches 1000mAh barely...
Second thing is I do find some Network errors while Network Switching .... in Custom Roms.
Some app hangs or force closes..
Although The camera is no better..
So basically Miui 9 is best...:fingers-crossed:

Laggy scrolling and UI

Good day all, I just fixed up my father's note 3 n900a variant. I replaced the screen with a LCD replacement from AliExpress and a battery also, the golden battery that people say the mAh is fake. Anyways aftering fixing up the phone and installing a fresh stock 4.4.2 firmware, I notice that the UI feels like it's running at 18 fps. Also scrolling through on chrome feels slow. I tried installing different custom roms that the at&t variant is limited to because of locked bootloader and also stock firmware (5.0) but the lag is still there. I don't know if its the screen maybe at a low refresh rate or something but I don't think so. I don't know what the problem is so I am writing this post so anyone that have encounter this problem can help me.

Heart rate sensor in custom ROM

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to use the heart rate sensor on the back of the phone in the Samsung Health app but obviously it doesn't show up at all.
I tried using a Magisk module for the S5 but considering I have an Exynos S8 it didn't even install.
I'm currently running Havoc OS 3.2 (the unofficial build from the cross-device section)
If anyone has any clue regarding what I can try to use it, I'd love to hear it
