Oreo for S5 Exynos - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Not to be picky but are there any oreo updates for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Exynos International and I've been waiting for over a year waiting for some new updates but there aren't currently any. I would just want to know if there's someone working on the update

Regarding the Official Samsung Updates...
All of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Variants had already surpassed their Official EOL (End Of Life) date (which was, I believe, sometime in March 2017).This EOL only means that there won't be any Official Android Versioning "Upgrades".
What it doesn't mean is that Samsung will only release Certain/Specific Critical Security Patches for those affected Variants but, this may/might/could be extremely sporadic and, unfortunately, this will eventually not happen at all (as time goes on) unless legally compelled to.
I hope that I had explained this okay via text...
Good Luck!

Oh sorry, I probably didn't write my previous text correctly and what I meant by updates is custom roms like Resurrection Remix or Lineage OS. I saw these two gives update to snapdragon variants and was thinking where's the exynos variants

Okay then...
Those developments are typically located within the following S5 "Exynos" only area.

You may be able to locate some within one or both of the following areas as well.

Thank you for helping me but I think i'll end the search here because I tried finding it everywhere but the only one that I got that was related to the exynos variant was this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga.../wifi-bug-lineage-os-15-1-oreo-g900h-t3849308
I'll soon try this out in the near future which will be probably next year the reason it that i'm just afraid that this will brick my device as it is the one phone that I currently have; if you do find any exynos variants oreo custom rom feel free to give the link to me as i'll try it out
I think I might try to make one for myself...

Thread cleaned, can you take all your *****ing, whining and general crap off XDA and onto facebook or somewhere where I don't have to deal with it.
AndreiLux we are all well aware of what you think of the moderators on here, I think through your shed loads of anti-moderation posts you've made it clear so there is no need to go on and on and on about it, its getting old and boring reading/dealing with it. Enough is enough.
Edit:

You know well enough I was referring to your history of anti-moderation posts stemming from late 2012.
And despite your claims of not wanting to escalate it, it seems to me that you did want to escalate it because as with several of your posts you were plain nasty or your branch of sarcasm (whatever you want to call it) when there was no need to be and having that sort of tone in your posts is always going to draw a response.
Anyways, as I said, enough. If you want to continue this discussion then PM me.
Everybody, back on topic please.

Tell Samsung to include Camera 2 in its Lollipop update

Not sure if this type of thing is permitted, but here goes.
I've posted a note to Samsung on my blog to try and get them to include support for the new Camera 2 API in the Lollipop update for, at least, the Note 4 and S5. Sharing on FB, Twitter and tagging Samsung is the easiest way to try to get them to hear users.
An Open Letter to Samsung
It is too late for the S5 as updates have already been release...same thing for the Note 4. I didn't fully look at your letter, but perhaps state for future updates because the current is already done.
I don't have my Lollipop update yet. Regardless of whether it's the first update to Android 5 or subsequent is irrelevant. The point is that Samsung should support the Camera 2 API.
There are companies that do listen to their customers. And it's not unheard of for a company to change direction if enough of its customers express a desire for (or against) something.
I have seen it posted in the International Forum that "it's there but switched off". I'm sure we will see it in a future update.
I dont get all the negativity. If you don't want to help, don't reply and move on.

It's not there because Samsung doesn't use camera2 api. They made their own because Google still sucks at it.

To all in this thread, post respectfully... Or Do Not Post.......easy
To the OP, Trying to use the camera2 is not as easy as it sounds, Remember, updates also need to be downwardly compatible, that makes enacting something much harder, or buggier.
So, couple that with then having all supporting app devs to adjust or modify their apps to work with it...... just not as simple as releasing a new feature or update.....
Ok people, please be kind when posting, be respectful thanks ~~~ oka1

And where exactly do you see any oreo rom for the Note 3 ?

That ROM does not boot. It is best not to use it.
At the time of this writing, a working Android Oreo ROM does not exist for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (regardless of what variant it is). This question @spyroz540 asked seems very illogical, given the current circumstances.

This page is fake, lol
Samsung galaxy S4 modem gt-i9506 which have the same chipset as N3, does have Lineage 15.1 (Oreo)
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=239632
There are some roms such as RR which are compatible with both devices. Maybe someone can adapt this rom to N3.

the page is not fake, is UNOFFICIAL
lineageosroms.org is not a fake site, neither is that upload,
its just experimental builds that may or may not boot, major difference
so if you look for the first burps of any dev you may legitimately find it there, if its any good is case and device dependent
Aa, okay, okay.
Sorry my bad, i thought that since Galaxy S4 has Oreo already, that the Note 3 would also have it. I apologize.

Galaxy S5 903lv frp bypassed

I do not know if this belongs here or not so i apologize in advance if it is.
straight to it
I have been trying to get FRP off of this phone for 2 months. tried all methods posted. Most i could do was the google assist thing to get internet. finally gave up. today i was going to use it while my nexus was on charge to look something up. I powered it up, and attempted to connect to the Dennys guest wifi next door. It connected but closed the log in portal to access the web. said could not for security reasons. i clicked next anyway. Then normally where the google verification page would shut me down the Dennys log in page popped up. So i clicked connect. and presto i was setting up the phone. no verification. dont know if its a glitch and a feasible workaround. i am no programmer or coding expert. ill leave what happened here and hope it helps the next guy. if you need anymore info let me know. it was a trackfone s5 903vl stock 6.0.1 firmware with no sim installed. have a good day and god bless.
title meant to say 903vl. sorry mind was going faster than fingers

I don't have this specific variant but, The SM-S903VL is pretty much the same exact device as the SM-G900V but, was released for the Straight Talk (TracFone) in the US.
The following information may be helpful that's device specific:
The SM-S903VL was released for both Straight Talk Wireless & Tello Mobile. This device is CDMA that operates on the Verizon network (just as the SM-G900V does).
The SM-G900V is aka the kltevzw and the SM-S903VL is aka the kltetfnvzw.

good day, sorry to necropost but do you have access to the files in your post still? theyre not on mega anymore

Is the communitry for k3gxx (exynos) dead?

like seriously, there have not been any development as far as I can remember. I never heard any news about anything and suddenly the community for the k3gxx just dies and left alone while the other variants get oreo and pie while we were left alone in nougat
The k3gxx variant development is happening at a very slow pace as the number of developers are less .
K3gxx is so unfortunate
The Devs were gud at 1st then virus stuck em
A virus of under appeciation fueled by misunderstanding nd misplaced passion
Currently there is minimal progress to achieve oreo
So stay tuned.
huy if the truth is that we are unlucky
for now we will continue enjoying 7.1.2
and in my case I'm with mokee rom
great stable
and we will spy on future news
I don't have this variant myself but, the best I can locate is the following Unofficial LineageOS 15.1 builds for the k3gxx device by @Brunowp8.
