Hi SRB, it seems and i read that the Nokia 6.1 Plus is not Dolby Atmos compatible, Though I also read that XDA is working on a port, hopefully without root permissions needed. if not i may buy another 6.1 plus and screw with it. I would like to install GSI etc and find it potential.
https://refme.me/nokia-6-1-plus-faqs-ir-blaster-screen-mirroring-usb-otg/ Last question..
I have tried many Atmos APK's and nothing works. I'll keep looking, if you come across anything, let me know.
Talk soon.

And also try to port cyanogenmod rom...
@DHARMESH17, I came here by chance, looking for sound mods (testing every ones that I've known of) and just stumbled on best Dolby build ever! You've beaten them all. Thanks a lot and keep going, I'll bookmark your thread for maybe more?

Can you please specify the source (rom)
I've gone back and forth now between 6.0.1 and 7.1.1 listening to my favorite songs and I definitely find that marshmallow sounds noticeable better than Nougat. The sound is more detailed and less "muddy".
Does nougat use some sort of audio processing or bass enhancer or whatever? I want to like the nougat sound more as I’d like to stick with nougat but the difference is noticeable enough for me to stay on marshmallow because of this reason.’
You sure Dolby is off?
Exactly, dolby on equals ****ty sound. However when I was on Marshmallow it kept turning itself on. Now I'm on a LineageOs-based ROM so I don't know.

Dolby atmos transforms this phone. It's so much better with it on. Music mode is best.

I disagree. The times when I was annoyed of how bad the audio was it turned out that dolby was on.:silly:

I find that it ruins earphone sound quality. It's a lazy alternative to an equaliser without doing the job effectively.

i will have to disagree. the amount of EQ dolby uses is ridiculous.
I really think V20 offers high quality music, but it is not fun to me because of the lack of sound effects.
Even if I can use Viper4android instead, its concert hall effect is not as good as soundalive's.
So what I wanna say is, installing soundalive on my V20 and using it is possible?
Why not try installing it?

There is a soundalive irs pack for V4A's convolver feature that the creator for V4A offers on his website. has about 20 different types that emulate soundalives different configurations. Prolly closest thing you are going to get to having it on a non-samsung device
https://zhuhangsirs.azurewebsites.net/Portal.html
That's the link to the store. Think the soundalive pack is $1.99

You buy a phone with Quad DAC and above average sound performance and you want to shove it through it's ass Samsung's Sound Alive?!? That beats me.
Anyone out there with a rooted ZTE Axon 7 that can do a quick speaker test with the Axon 7 using a certain Mod?
Thinking on getting one but just want to see if the request I ask makes a difference in speaker quality & loudness.

Yes I also forgot that this mod normally doesn't work with Android 7.0 or higher, only works with Android 6.0 so sorry but yes the mod is called Waves MaxxAudio (Alcatel Idol 4S Port)

What does it do better than V4A+Dolby Atmos?
I guess it would work if you used stock 6.0, but I'm on 7.1.2.

Yeah I guess I just wanted to see and personally I believe it provides better speaker quality than V4A and/or Dolby Atmos but I can just test when I get it thanks for at least replying!

Well, using V4A alongside Atmos improves the soundstage a lot (even though some noise appears), but the AKM DAC helps a lot with that. I'll try that mod if I ever go back to stock, might work there
