Hi guys ,
i've installed on my Xiaomi mi a1 the pixel experience rom, so bootloader unlocked , but i have serious problem to install twrp, i've
booted twrp and changed slot a partition to slot b then installed twrp , rebooted to recovery and installed magisk in order to get root.
Seems that works fine but when i try to install last system update ( download from phone e reboot to recovery) , i always get error 255.
So in order to install the last update i've to re-boot recovery twrp , install new update then install again twrp and magisk, what's wrong ?

I put lineage 14.1 on my phone today , worked great , then I decided to factory reset the phone , now the phone constantly goes into a recovery boot loop back to TWRP , I am told that the new version of TWRP will fix this , I can find the image version of TWRP but not the .ZIP version....
Please advise how best to update my k3-50 phone to the latest version of twrp , I did try copying across the Twrp image file to my sd card , but twrp does not see the file as a Install file....help please.
Or even a version with the correct scatter file to use with SP tools...please

Had the same problem with another ROM some time ago.
The only thing that worked for me:
-Flash Stock-ROM through SPFlashTool
-Flash TWRP through SPFlashTool
-Reboot to TWRP
-Take a nandroid backup
-Wipe and install a new Custom-ROM.
All software you need is in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/k3-note/general/organized-thread-lenovo-k3-note-k50-t3158522
I've been getting bootloops after installing Magisk on my OnePlus 5 unlocked bootloader , rooted before at 4.5.15.
I directly updated it to 5.0.2 which resulted in many errors in the end had to flash it completely and then clean install the ROM .
The ROM works perfectly with almost no trouble.
I then flashed almost all Magisk versions I could get hold of (14.5,15.2,15.3,15.4(beta))
But none of them could get past the boot animation.
I've also flashed the no Verity mod file both before and after the flashing of Magisk nothing worked.
But everytime after all this I flash the Magisk uninstaller and I get easily get back to using the device but without root.
Anyone help me rooting this ?
The ROM has been downloaded from official OnePlus website and the twrp I'm using is the codeworkx version.
First do this then tell me how it went.
1. Boot to fastboot and flash twrp-3.2.1-0-universal-codeworkx-cheeseburger.img via command window, make sure you have adb installed on pc.
2. Then boot DIRECTLY to twrp.
3. Dirty flash OOS 5.0.2 over your current rom in twrp and then wipe dalvik and cache.
4. Then boot into fastboot DIRECTLY again and flash twrp-3.2.1-0-universal-codeworkx-cheeseburger.img again.
5. Boot into twrp directly and flash Magisk 15.2.zip
6. Finally boot into the system.
7. Optional: then you can go ahead and update Magisk via it's own flash tool.
I'm already on 5.0.2 so do I dirty flash it again?
Hai guys I have a problem in my MI a1!

Flash stock ROM (January or February beta) via Mi Flash Tool and use clean flash option. Get it in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/development/tool-aosp-8-0-ql1515-dec-8-2017-t3722184. Sorry for the bootloop caused by the mod.
Go into fastboot and type fastboot erase userdata to erase everything. Then flash an official Mi A1 rom using Mi Flash Tool: https://xiaomifirmware.com/roms/download-official-roms-xiaomi-mi-a1/
Get an android 7 rom for the moment, until android 8 would be optimized.
Hello there everybody
I have unlocked the bootloader and installed the TWRP recovery version 3.2.3.0 angler. Then i backed up my system, opened the phone and copied magisk.zip so as to root my phone. When i went back i couldn't find the twrp and had to reinstall it. Amd it wasn't able to install the root! I downloaded another version of magisk, but the same exact thing happened again!
Are you on oreo? Cause im having the same issue. I install twrp and get overwritten when i boot up into the system.
Hi Guys,
i lately got on old Samsung Tab 9.7 with an official Android 7 Nougar running on it.
I decided to flash twrp_3.1.0-1_sm-t550_13317 with Odin3_v3.10.7. I followed the steps ashyx described in his thread. So far so good..
Afterwards I installed SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502 from SDCard and it prompted to reboot... now there is the problem.. It won't reboot. It says "Check failed" and I have to factory reset it. When pressing the button it boots into twrp and I can only spot red lines until it reboots with kernel binary and I'm back at the same point.
Any ideas what to do?
btw. are there any new version of twrp , SuperSu or Magisk I can use? Couldn't find any newer versions. I also search for any ROM which has the most up-to-date status (if there are any xD)
Thanks guys
Not my type of tablet but when the SM-T585 had those issues it was a wrong version of TWRP, so maybe look into that.
And SuperSU, really? That's been dead for years, use Magisk instead. It has a whole subforum here on XDA.
/edit: I managed somehow to install latest twrp and lineageOS.. but on first boot it brings up an encryption error.
"encryption was interrupted and can't complete..."
I need to factory reset the tablet... but with that i run again into a bootloop. I can't wipe "data" via twrp Error 8 was it, i think at least ^^
/edit2: I'd go with magisk... but I only find the .apk .. what do I have to flash in twrp?
/edit3:
Managed to reinstall twrp with latest verion twrp-3.5.2_9-0-gt510wifi.img. wiped all data ... Installed Magisk-v23.0 afterwards lineage-18.1-20211108-UNOFFICIAL-gt510wifi . But again.. encryption error on Lineage boot.
Problem solved.
reverted to complete stock, afterwards flashed twrp, installed magisk + lineage 18.1 + OGapps 11.0.
Now it's running.
