I've searched but couldn't find anything useful about how to best debloat a Chinese MIUI ROM for the non-Chinese market? I'm awaiting a Xiaomi Mi 5S in the coming days which doesn't have an internatinoal ROM yet albeit any other AOSP cloaser ROM. So it will be coming with a Chinese ROM. I would surely like to debloat it properly and make Google apps available on it by default so it would be more like a normal Android phone. I've heard that MIUI is a ice ROM (only been using Nexus devices so far, but never tried anything else apart from original AOSP or some custom AOSP ROM (becase device wasn't officially supported any more by Google). So. Debloat a MIUI 8 then...
Flash xiaomi.eu ROM
Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A3003 mit Tapatalk
This should help: http://xiaomitips.com/download/google-installer-app/
I haven't tested it myself, as I'm also waiting for the phone delivery.
This is just for the whole google stuff, you might want to first uninstall all apps in the normal app uninstall menu.
Flash xiaomi.eu ROM as @Klanac89 said and then I use App Quarantine to freeze remaining bloatware. Works a dream.
How to disable "security" app without issues? When I try delete apk with root I have a lot of FC and other issues.
Is there any way possible to instal a stock-like ROM on the Xiaomi Mi5S? Cyanogenmod for example, rooting, TWRP recovery all that stuff.
Thanks in advance

Use the guide from xiaomi.eu, (unfortunatelly i can not post link on this forum yet), the post is called "All-in-one Guide Compilation On How To Flash Xiaomi.eu Roms On Your Mi5s"
I used the guide above to succesfully flash xiaomi eu rom on my mi5s. All the necessary links to tools and roms are available in the guide.

But is xiaomi.eu ROM official or is it just some other ROM that's faking officiality?
xiaomi.eu ROM is a custom rom, like CM. It just looks more or less the same and I think it's even part the same developers as the official ROM, but that's just a guess.

If they're not official devs, then I don't know how are they able to create custom ROM as Xiaomi hasn't officially released kernel sources? XDA developers can't do zilch about custom ROMS but they can. That would make them either creme de la creme of Android/Linux devs or they just have access to more Xiaomi original sources than the rest of the world does... Is there a third option?

Could the changes be in the APKs and not the kernel?

I suppose they could be yes, but one would need either source code of all those APKs or at least a working reverse engineered source. Which gets us basically back to square one. There's a lot more APK sources than there is of the kernel. I would guess so. Which simply means much more work.
Honestly I'm not sure. I don't have an account at xiaomi.eu (yet), but maybe you want to ask your question there?

flash the mi 5s poland version rom which is official
https://miuipolska.pl/DOWNLOAD/
I haven't flashed it yet. However, from my past experience, the Polak rom comes rooted and debloated.
Hmm if that is the same as the official beta ROM, then this version doesn't yet include support for the MI 5s. That was probably completely added this week, in the new version 6.11.24 (source: http://en.miui.com/thread-417573-1-1.html). Release notes with the list of supported devices will be out tomorrow. Last weeks version included the 5s for the first time, but it was "on hold - because of new drivers", which means no download links.

No download links in 6.11.24 either. And I suspect that device listing has a typo as instead of stating Mi 5s it should likely state Mi 5s Plus which does have global ROM support. I sincerely hope there will be a global ROM for Mi 5s as well in the near future, but that may never happen. I hope my request to unlock doesn't get rejected though, so I have hopes of flashing the EU version... BTW: 6.11.24 still has Mi 5, Mi 5s (plus), Mi Mix on hold because of Qualcomm.

If this is official ROM then you should be able to flash it without unlocking your device. If an unlock is required, then I'm afraid this is not official as I'm pretty sure there is no special Polish version of the ROM. It's either Chinese or Global... Everything else is unofficial and requires bootloader unlock.
Hello guys! I tryed to search all over forum to get answer but no success.
I bought Xiaomi Mi A1 32/4GB 3 months ago. It comed in Nougat version of android. Upgraded it to Oreo and used it until April security update. After that, i decided to flash Resurection Remix. I lked rom but there are some bugs and i decided to flash stock rom. I downloaded rom from en.miui.com and flashed it using Mi Flash Tool. After device booted up, i noticed some preinstalled apps that i didnt have when i bought device. I got apps called: Mi Comunity and Mi store. Also i noticed that i dont have Xiaomis Remote controll as system app so i needed to download it from play store manually. Can someone explain this? Did i downloaded rom for other region? (wich i dont belive its problem because this is Android One phone so everyone have Global Rom, i think)
Any answer is welcome.
Sorry if i posted in wrong section this thread, i am noob at XDA.
Just bought last month, it have mi community come with stock, i'm not sure about mi store and mi remote because i install RR6.0 right after finish download.
Did you choose flash all and relock or keep user data?
Its all good, used it before. Just the normal ROM with added programs.
Well i chosed clean all and lock in mi flash tool.
Well i have to add my phone is heating up when i use phone longer, i didnt have that problem when it came out of box.
I downloaded firmware from xda with january security patch(upgraded it later to April) and flashed it. Il try to flash some other stock rom from other links, not en.miui.com one.
So everyone have same rom or this phone have roms but they are different from region to region?
Thanks for answers!
Hello everyone, has someone already tried to flash a GSI ROM on the k20/mi9t?
Yes, I'm running PHH's AOSP 9.0.
Two big issues:
• Popup camera pops at every reboot
- It only popup and retract with commands
- Doesn' work when you use any camera app
• You have to wake up the screen to use the fingerprint
Popup camera is almost fixed, someone with a Redmi K20 Pro is working on it and Phhusson is cleaning the code.

Yes, unless it's something specific for the Snapdragon 855, most of modifications should work in both devices.
I just tried flashing havoc OS GSI and it results in a boot loop at the Mi Logo

A GSI rom Is a Generic System Image, in other words Is Simply an "Universal rom", you can literally flash It on every device compatible with project treble.
Standard Roms on the other side (like LOS) are made specifically for a single device
I dont know why peoples wants to install GSI ROM, ? half things doesnt work, better to wait for real ROMs for this device, if it will be once.

Speak for yourself, on my current device, that didn't even had treble at first (ZTE Axon 7) I'm running the same GSI image for 2 months now without a single issue!

But axon 7 is not xiaomi, and dont have miui. dont know what firmware your axon come with. But if you use mi9t/k20 to use gsi for now i dont see reason. if on your k20 is chines firmware, unlock bootloader and flash global, or XEU rom. and if your mi9t is with global, unlock bootloader install chines or xeu, or any other miui rom. and wait for other normal custom roms, this gsi have non senses for this kind of phones. there is sense for gsi for devices as huawei as you cant unlock bootloader, so no aosp custom roms, just treble or gsi.

We flash GSI because the really stable custom ROMS will come out at least 2-3 months from now, so unless you can tolerate the MIUI it is the only way to flash and use a quite stable custom ROM since patches for GSIs will arrive very soon for our device

Havoc OS has the same issues AOSP has.
Now I'm trying LineageOS 16 and camera is partially fixed.
• It works with GCam and default camera
• Still pops up every reboot

I want to install a newer GCam port and I think that the ports from this developer are one of the most recent ones?
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-parrot043/
But which version should I choose???
Is the latest Version = the lastest version but maybe not stable or do different versions have different features (because the names are mostly a specific feature/mode)?
I tried 3 versions (PMGC_7.2.014_HdrQuality_V6.apk, PMGC_7.2.014_V3.apk and PMGC_7.2.014_Stable_V1.apk) but I'm getting an parsing error if I try to install the apk.
Do I need to uninstall an old GCam port (it's from an other developer)?
Never mind.
Since on the developer info only the RN7 is listed I thought that I should automatically work on mine too. But the newer versions are for Android 10 and I have Android 9 installed.
Sorry for this useless thread

Hi all,
I am looking for a stable Android 11 ROM that is not MIUI.
Safetynet must pass and Widevine must remain L1.
Fingerprint sensor must work still when night mode is turned on.
Please recommend me one.
Thanks

Rom to degoogle phone?
I'd like to increase the privacy of my phone. I'm looking for a compatible open source ROM for the Xiaomi Mi 9T with the latest stock android firmware without any bloatware from google or xiaomi. Better if it's a popular ROM so I can find support...
forum.xda-developers.com
else: I like Havoc-OS in the past but just took on of those roms, listet here at xda. Or just take official LOS.
EDIT: Sorry missed your Safetynet part... Hmm... Is it possible without stock-rom?

With GApps (not without like Mkcro-G) and with Magisk.
Might not be easy
