Pubg mobile - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello guys
I play Pubg mobile on s7 edge and I noticed something wrong, When I play it on HD graphics with high fps, every thing is clear, also on smooth graphics with high fps it's clear but when I use gfx tools I put smooth graphics with extreme fps on 720p resolution it's so smooth but if there is someone far it looks unclear
I noticed that if I put balanced or HD graphics with extreme fps, everything is clear but it lags a bit
Is there any solution to play it smooth with extreme fps while everything is clear?

Lower resolution make things blurry means not clear to see.
I'm using custom rom and playing 2k resolution gfxtool with hd setting and high shadow. Game run great. Doest stutter or anything. On stock rom high setting game would stutter.
So if you want smooth gameplay atleast use 1080 resolution with shadow off and just smooth option. Not very or extreme smooth in gfxtool.
A screenshot from the game in hd mode. But that time i did not use the tool.

The screenshot was taken in glamours9 rom v5.5.
But right now i am using blackpearl s9 v6.0 by killswitch bec it feels more stable.
Both rom has same smooth gameplay and just played pubg yesterday on blackpearls9 on hd setting, fps highest, with shadow on. It was very smooth.
I did not install any kernel but used the one which came with the rom.
Glamours9 used morokernel.
And blackpearls9 has its own kernel.
Also i did not tweak or change anything in kernel. If you want any changes then just change cpu governer to performance but i am not changing anything.
So just try both of these roms. Glamour have a cool look and seem faster try it first.
Also you might already know this but after installing rom. Restart your phone twice so all type of lags disappears.

Hey thanks man. I just checked blackpearl and it appears to have some bugs, Heart rate sensor and "direction lock" (is it auto rotate always?)is not working.
Currently on Superman rom and my phone is garbage, restarts 5 to 10 times daily.

Try glamour then.
Heart sensor works. O2 or so called oxygen saturation does not work. Its not that huge issue.
And direction lock is like pattern lock. I wonder if people use that feature. I never tried it and never going to use it as i use face unlock and finger print unlock. Never tried super or bat rom.
I first tripped knox and installed glamour rom. Glamour has nice look and heart sensor and o2 sensor works. I think direction lock works as well. It is also fast or little faster then black pearl.
So try it. But create back of your contacts and everything.
Btw phone never once restarted with black pearl. And used glamour for around 4 days. I think it also did not restart or crash.
Some screen shot playing pubg today.
And what do you mean auto rotate? It does not auto rotate for me. Unless i enable it in status bar.

Bro I use the stock rom and I want to change it .. what rom do you advise me to try? And I have a question about Pubg .. on stock rom when I open the parachute it lags and I can't see if anyone around me .. does that happen with you on the rom you use?

If your rom is not rooted and knox is 0x0 then i would say stay on stock.
I am using hd quality with shadow enable and when parachute open it does not hang or stutter. I can see everyone and i land smoothly.
I only tried 3 roms. Norma v2.1, blackpearl s9 v6, and glamours9 v5.5.
And i would like to recommend first black pearl s9 v5, if its not of your taste then 2nd glamour s9 v5.5.
So if your game stutter too much or is slow with smooth quality. Then try blackpearl.
Black pearl is very stable. No app crash or anything. Battery is good too.
When installing the rom follow the steps properly and always backup your data.
I tried 2k resolution with hdr and gpu optimization off in gfxtool Game was kinda slow. So i used 1080 resolution. And game was then smooth. Just finish playing with friends. Check left screen shot when i tried playing in 2k resolution and right with 1080 resolution.

that tool ban on of my id bro. be careful.
how about you clean install pubg or clear cache or data(it will delete map and settings and will be like fresh pubg installed)? you may have some old files. and modifying the game too much make it more of a mess. so run a clean game and use gfxtool with 1920x1080 resolution balance mode shadow off, gpu optimization on, fps 40 and check if it stutters.
i will make a video and will give you link. and will show you some tools. try them if it can help... if not then install the blackpearls9 v6(recommended) or other custome rom. as stock rom gives 2.3ghz cpu speed but on custom its 2.6ghz.

I thank you so much for help bro .. unfortunately I did what you say many times in the past but there is no good result.. and I have used gfx tool for 6 months and I noticed that the battery drains more that Bagt application does .. and on FHD resolution on gfx tool it gives more a smaller icons .. the HD is the only resolution which gives the right size of icons
For all those reasons I use Bagt instead of gfx
Tomorrow I will try BlackPearl rom and I hope everything is gonna be ok
One more time I really thank you for your help

In pubg v8 i had same issue as yours. Even on low quality the game was not smooth when moving camera around. When pubg v9 came i freshly installed and it was way better then before butt on hd it stutter.
By the way you get smaller icons on 1440 resolution.
Go to phone setting then display, set resolution to fhd 1080.
In GFXTOOL USE QUALITY SMOOTH, RESOLUTION 1920X1080. GPU OPTIMIZATION ON. SHADOW DISABLE.
YOUR ICON should be normal in this resolution.
But i think by now you have installed the rom.
So hoping it solves your problem bro.

you will lose samsung pay service and in some rom spo2 is not working in samsung health. battery seems little better or same(black pearl seem most optimize) . and yes performance is better in all three rom(norma, glamour s9, blackpearl s9). tried pubg in all these roms.
so with custom rom
you get
performance
face unlock
infinity wallpapers
dolby atmos sound
custom touchwiz(like modifying battery icon, network speed meter in status bar.
but just they are not 100% okay. you might find a bug or two like in samsung health SPO2.
blood pressure is working fine.
but your problem is with pubg. so you will get performance to play it better. i mostly play pubg when battery is full and is on charge(fast charging. it stays on 100%). its a habit of mine.
phone does not overheat at all.
i just remembered something. have you tried game tuner?(blue joystick icon app)
with it you can increase performance of a game. try it before flashing custom rom....

Haha i am glad that finally you can enjoy the game.
Weird when ever i used antialaising the grass and bushes would get buggy. Like they would turn into green papers.
No you dont need to use gfxtool if you are satisfied with bagt. Both work same. Every rom has its up and down. Hope you are satisfied with everything this rom has. Because we tripped the knox now lol. Not like it matters as warranty expired long time ago.
Btw this rom has Bixby stuff. If you are not using it then do not install it. As useless programs sometime run in background for no reason..

Bought Asphalt 8 - Heavy Lag on GS4-i9500

Just bought Asphalt 8, honestly expected it to run flawlessly on my Black GS4-i9500 but that was not the case. Installation was fine, but game is really laggy and the graphic is kind of messed up and unstable. It's like the graphic card is not powerful enough to run it at full speed. I'm playing on default settings and I made sure there is no other application running besides Airborne. My phone is a genuine one and have not rooted it. It's the same for Minion Rush and Asphalt 7.
What might be causing this problem according to you guys and is there any way to fix this?
Many thanks.

Had no lags like this on stock. Everything ran flawlessly.
but smearing issue bothered me so I rooted it and installed perseus kernel. Everything is fast as hell. And using wanam rom.
try a factory reset. Then update to latest ota. And test again.
There is no such thing called "lag" on my I9500, on GE Port or stock Touchwiz.
But yes, my phone is rooted and got swapped external to internal.
Probably there's something wrong in your beloved storage.

It is the way it is.
Forget these guys who says Asphalt 8 run flawlessly on I9500/I9505, it doesn't. Flawlessly is 60fps all the time. S4 can't deliver that.
It doesn't matter which ROM you are using, they do little to no help on GPU performance, unless when you are OCing the GPU.
Just make sure you don't have background apps running.
For Asphalt 8 on I9500 expect a frame rate on High Quality averaging on 30fps, with peaks on 40fps and dips on 15fps.
I9505 is a few frames worse.
If you really want have a gain on FPS, you should have root, be on Android 4.2 and change the resolution to let's say 720x1280.
got ard 30fps, can't say perfect but good enough to play. Anyway racing game don't require very high fps.
If you experience HEAVY LAG then something must be wrong.

Sorry I'm a little bit out of the main subject.
Is there any way to show FPS when gaming on android devices ? I looked in playstore and there's none.
To get back to the subject, you should see what's wrong with your phone .. Asphalt runs well on S4 as it's running on IPAD 4 (but the bigger screen makes it better experience really) .. S2 also runs it well with medium graphics.
I thought the 3d titles were a bit laggy or jerky but played on iPhone 5 and we're the same smaller screen was rubbish.

FPS Meter (root required)
It is paid though... It used to be cheaper, I paid U$ 1.00 (maybe I bought it on specials days, don't know...) but now it is around U$ 4.00.
It shows fps on screen. It affects the performance a little bit when active, something around 5%-10%.

It effects much more than 5%-10%. It is taking down the FPS by about 10-15FPS!

Somethings weird on your phone... To everyone, the Adreno 320 and PowerVR SGX544 are pretty much the same in performance. On that note, I'm playing Asphalt 8 at around 40-50 FPS. No frame drops at all. Using a Canadian SGS4 so its a S600. Running Broodplanks Pure AOSP. Its most likely the best ROM for gaming. Gets 29000 in Antutu without any over clock.
I9500
here asphalt 8 is just fine..
around 40-55 fps. No overclock.

Dude, use the latest NH6 version + the Force GPU Rendering trick (from Developer Options).
To some limit, this helps (but unsure if the framerate goes back to normal, because I never played heavy games while I had Jelly Bean).
Check and, please, report back.

Good ROM for Gaming and general use? for Galaxy S4 i9505

Hi, i'm looking for a good rom for gaming and general use (texting, calling etc) I want it to be able to handle games like Mortal Kombat X (at a playable frame-rate)
Currently i'm running on an old build of Optimized CM13 (Which of course is called LineageOS, but i have an old build so it's still Cyanogenmod) I have also tried Game Booster apps but they don't make that much of a difference.
Try an AOSP ROM, not LineageOS. CyanogenMod never tested the code they threw into the source, leading to lots of bugs and a general slowness for LineageOS.
I'd recommend you try GLTools or Screen Shift.
Screen Shift can reduce the resolution of your screen, thus improving performance. And yes, it actually works. I'm using it to play Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links. Without Screen Shift the game is really laggy, not unplayable but not smooth either, with Screen Shift it it's a lot better and smoother. The lowest resolution I recommend, without having black bars, is 480x854.
GLTools kinda does the same, but it also has more advanced options like emulating another CPU/GPU.
It allows you to reduce the graphics and resolution to improve performance or you can also increase them if your phone's is capable of running it smooth at such high settings (which is not the case for you I guess).
I myself am using Screen Shift. GLTools doesn't seem to make any difference to my game at all.

Thanks for telling me about these tools! will check them out later. GLTools sounds good, hope it'l work for me.

Pubg mobile on S7 edge exynos 935f

Hello everyone. I have started playing pubg mobile on my s7 edge exynos version and the performance is soo bad. I get like 20fps and the game lags so badly even with around 100ms ping. Someone told me to root my phone and use gltools to optimize the game by setting fake gpu as adreno 630 would fix the frame lag issue. I did so but still there's no significant changes. I know my device might be pretty old for a game like this but i feel bad when i see a less config phone performs better than this. This is my only priority right now to play pubg smoothly. Is there any way i can make the performance better?
Thing that i have tried so far: game tools, performance mode, changing up the resolutions, editing UserCustom.ini with loads of codes provided in various youtubers, turned on 4x MSAA but nothing could give the smooth 60fps gameplay.*
As i am noob about all the kernel thing and overclocking gpu or cpu, will anyone be kind enough to give me a proper solution for better gaming experience? Thanks.
Nah. It should play fine. I'm thinking you should look into connection latency as well. Even a high end gaming rig PC would stutter on PUBG at 20FPS if internet connrction latency is bad. Latency has nothing to do with internet speed. Even if your speed is high, but the connection between your phone and the server goes through a lot of hoops like VPNs, ISP rerouting, etc, latency will be wacky.
There's also the issue of battery age. The phone is about 2yrs old. The battery may have aged and is full of dendrites so it's not giving max power anymore. So even if you set it ti max performance, the battery may not be giving enough power to play it fully.

Would changing the battery help? And i am from Bangladesh, and whichever connection i use, it never goes below 100ms.
100ms latency for a shooting game is pretty bad IMO. Could spell life and death.
Changing the battery will help only if the battery is part of the problem. Right now I don't know for sure.

Use pubg gfx tool from play store
Man, i play pubg in high quality with no lag.
First, install tgp rom with tgp kernel in these advanced settings:
Big: interactive. 2184ghz max/728ghz min.
Little: interactive. 1586ghz max/422ghz min.
Fiops/fiops/bic.
Then install PUBG ANTI LAG and set: graphics balanced - style classic - resolution 1280x720 - fps 60 - shadows disabled - antialising disabled. And set the config.

Same for me, lags, bad fps, 30 or below. settings fake gpu to 630 might bump up graphics settings and cause more lag. so dont do that.

Just a little underclock, but you dont have to do that. I just did because pubg heats my phone. I forgot to say to install game tunner and disable game launcher

What fps do you get? and why game tunner?
60fps, game tunner is very good
Yeah I forgot to mention game tuner. It's the tool to properly adjust resolution, fps, and performance allocation on Samsung ROMs.

I had the same problem with my samsung g9350 but I finally fixed it.
Game tuner , Put HW Performance to +3, +4 would drain too much of your battery, this would make sure that your phone is getting enough GPU, frame rate limit to 60 fps, resolution is 75% while im using HD Resolution on game mode just for the Game tools, I haven't tried increasing the resolution yet, im fine with HD for battery purposes.
I have Govtuner set on battery mode, L Speed on Battery Mode, This is just to counter the heating issues caused by HW Performance.
GL tools so I can use MSA 16x, force 16bit rendering, Optimize GLSL Shaders and of course FPS counter.
Firefds Kit from Xposed just so I could disable Touchwiz DVFS. <== This right here is the cause of our problems.
When I play solo or duo, i get 60 fps, since you faked your GPU, you can use Extreme Settings in pubgmobile which limits the cap to 60.
And I just adjust accordingly, like when I play team, sometimes my fps wouldn't reach 60, I lower it to Ultra(40 fps max) or high(30 fps max).
on 80 battery, i get like 4, 20-30 mins games, the device doesn't heat up and is smooth. Hope it helps, I was just like you once, doing everything just to have fun playing Pubg mobile.
Hello. All I can say is that the gpu exynos is not good for the game I have the Qualcomm version and without any change or third application I easily get the 28 fps with the default settings.
Hello bro
I use a tgbkernel and i get awesome performance in samsung galaxy s7 edge exynos, i m playing pubg seance season 6 and i m happie for my phone ?dost use useless apps in phone thank You
Hi bro if you still using the device, how much FPS you get after the new update. Do you use GFXTool?

100ms latency is ok IMO. If you're a good gamer, you could get away with even 200-300ms latency.

Please help PUBG lag's very much

Hello i have a redmi note 7 3/32 model. When i play pubg even on low settings i.e smooth/high it lags very much.Phone heats very much.Tried disabling battery saver for pubg with no restriction but still lags very much.It had sd660 thats the reason bought it but it is really very disappointing.i had tried every combination of graphics settings but its the same.Phone heats after 15 min and then lag starts.
Should i install a custom rom? If yes then which rom will be best for pubg?
Or
Should i downgrade to miui 10 version ?
Please help..
Thanks in advance.
Do you have fps set to high? Change it to med or low.

But sd660 can handle high fps in pubg.I have seen other mobile ex.Asus max pro m2.which can handle pubg very smoothly.Cant find what the real issue is

Can handle high fps, yes.
Can still create much heat and use much battery, also yes. Thus lower fps to keep it less warm. Try it yourself and see the difference.
Add all unnecessary apps/games in memory exceptions within game booster app. Also disable ingame shortcut and enable bandwidth priority.
In pubg I have fps set to high and graphic to smooth.
I find these settings work the best on my phone for game performance and less heat too.

How to do this btw?
Inside game speed booster settings.
And of course you need to add pubg to this app too.
I set pubg to restrict battery in MIUI setting FYI. It has no effect on game play.

I had done everything but still it lags when played even on smooth and low/medium settings.
Try running a few benchmarks to see if everything is right, like Antutu, 3dmark etc and compare the scores to others RN7.
If not, try resetting your phone.
yeah mine too , i can play pubg on my mi max 3 with no laggs in the same setting but with this redmi note 7 will laggs from time to times , it supposed to be better than sd636 in my mi max 3.

All the benchmark scores seems to be normal. Will reset today hope will get better performance
Thanks for reply
I have try antutu benchmark and the result is very far from ranking redmi note 7 list at there. My device at 51. How to raise up the performance?

Reset will do almost nothing. It does only in short term. Longterm it will lags again. Just like you reboot ur phone and cleaning cache, etc...
The main cause is, miui thermal and stock kernel restirct cpu frequency too 'agressively'. When our device start to heat, thermal will restrict -half of- our cpu to only use max freq for bigcluster 1,7Ghz & littlecluster 1,4Ghz and downclock soo oftenly. So, lags will occurs.
Reason behind is good actually to "save" the phone and decrease heat. But, when it comes for gaming (my opinion) Its NO USE at all. It Just ruins the gameplay.
Sad thing..., xiaomi like do nothin :'( its been a couple stable update and they are doing nothing to provide best gaming experience at least.

Yes you are right after reset again it starts to lag.
Can't we do anything for this mini thermal throttle?
I mean can we root and go for a custom rom Or anything like that to improve performance? I don't want any battery saver stuff.. Just want lag free gaming

Root method? Of course yes.
Flash recovery Orangefox R10 > Flash Magisk Root > Flash Thermal-Config Mod (its a magisk module) > Flash Custom Kernel (if you want, i recommend genom or evira). Done.
Now you will get best perfomance of our device should have.
*thermal-engine mod will disable cpu restriction
**custom kernel will increase battery and perfomance
You can go to custom rom too, it'll give you more :v
Head over development rom thread..

What if we disable MIUI optimization? Will it remove the restriction? Or the only choices are thermal mod?

Disabling MIUI optimization will not remove kernel restrictions, you're better off flashing another kernel or using a thermal mod as recommended before.

Coudn't find the thermal-mod link, maybe it has to do with editing the kernel.
