hello everyone,
PLEASE IF ANYONE OF YOU WHO'S AN EXPERT AND KNOW HOW TO DO THAT.
I need your help in mounting a Sandisk NAND that I pulled out from my SonyEriccson W960 phone. I have some important data that I need to recover!
f you can help me to find out which solder points in the board that I need to use/solder in order to make this NAND readable and mounted on my computer...
you know better than me... Please check the attached picture below which has the little board where the NAND is soldered, (it has so many solder points!)
any help or suggestion would be appreciated, and thank you so much.
At that point I don't think you need to worry about solder points.. That's typically if you're going to use ISP but you need the full phone for that. Or at least the full chipset.
With what you have there, I would just take the chip right off, clean it and read it in a programmer. Look into Sireda adapters or Z3X.

I saw a solution @ http://tw.page.bid.yahoo.com/tw/auction/1130284105?aucview=search
The SD WiFi card can build inside XDA II.
But I want to know detail. Does anyone know how to make it?
Hmm, that's very interesting!
Please, post more details here if you find them.
@slash_tsai
I can't read taiwanees but if you're able to read a it can you translate what this guy is offering.
If I'm not wrong he is selling something about this solution. Can you tell what he is selling and for how much!
thanks
Has anyone tried
contacting the guy/gal?
I don't speak a word of ".tw", so I can't do it..
He/she might be able to share some info on the thingy..?
Just my two cents..
Babelfish is your friend ;-)
XDA O2 changes the contents net card.. May not need the SD memory card the inconvenient...... SD memory card which exchanges with the non- wire card trades all to be allowed forever to miss in SD inserts in Cao. Also may wireless access the net. Does not have to add any switch to be allowed to use the SD card withdrawal insertion to make the cut to have to use the SD memory card. Or in constructs non- wire card............. Let your gate not need the belt not to need to exchange trades the SD memory card with the non- wire card between... Also cannot because the non- wire card reveal not to be convenient.... Supplies for oneself the SDIO non- wire card 3000... Not non- wire card 6300.... The reequipment guarantees the solid.. 3 month
Scorch.
Babelfish has go to be SMOKING something heavy! ;-)
Anyone who speaks the native language?
the one who posted the url
Ok, our funky fish has helped me with the Q/A on the auction:
---------------
Question 6
Richly888 (201): The reequipment must opening machine?
Answer
Henlee0638 (251): The reequipment must opening machine
---------------
Looks like you have to open the device to install the "thingy"?!
[EDIT]
Oh! And I allso found:
"Delivers in person.. Because must reequip.. Must bringing machine come"
YIKES!
Have found this guys yahoo messenger address.
at this time (15:14 PM GMT+1) he his online and is talking. I'll put his answers here after he finishes.
Thus Far:
henlee0638 : HI
hatamat: About your solution for building in SDIO WIFI in the XDA II
henlee0638 : I BUILT IN MYSELF
hatamat: So you don't sell info and chips etc?
henlee0638 : + micro control to switch sdio / sd card
henlee0638 : you mean ? from where you are
hatamat: The netherlands
hatamat: Well what I mean is: Is it possible to share the knowledge and a instruction guide so I can built my own?
hatamat: If nessary I'll pay for the instructions
henlee0638 : can ican share
henlee0638 : later i call you back....going out a minute
hatamat: OK

Lookin' good!
I might have to dig up my old soldering iron again..
hhhmmmm.... The only reason I am waiting for the XDA3 is for the internal wifi, if this works it would be totaly cool!.............
Great! Can't wait to get instructions!
... and waiting.... and waiting... and then some waiting....
... In the meantime you can learn some basic skills to open your XDAII. Check my guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=8525&highlight=i+fixed+speaker+problem
Sounds good too
Only reason for XDA 3, and I 've got a spare sdio wifi card...
See my post with pictures towards the bottom of the following thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=10078&highli
It is very possible to hide the SD WiFi card in (well almost...) the XDA2. Short of getting it operational, this solution I find is very usable!
Sorry for this late reply but this was not because I didn't post but the guy who would supply the info let me waiting.
After long wait he has decided not to share or sell the instructions.
For me this case is still not closed but I think it is gonna take longer to aquire the info.

Just a quick question.
Apart from the obvious size difference, is the miniSD slot on the wizard SDIO compatible?
Cos if it is, I'm gonna have a go at making an adapter to allow SD/SDIO
cards to be connected.
Nice project, but let me get this straight. I don't have a Wizard, but it seems that the Wizard is has a miniSD slot and you are going to make an adaptor for this miniSD slot so that you can put in a big SD/SDIO memory/device into it?! Won't that just give you a 'lump' on your Wizard? Which has a very high risk of breaking off.
Anyway, I have had experience with RS-MMC that the RS version has different voltage level. Probably you want to check on the voltage of a miniSD and a SD, which might be different (e.g. the miniSD slot may not able to give enough voltage for the SD/SDIO).
Sure, good points.
I just though of asking before I went further.
If I were to make an adapter though, i would actuall try to make it the full size of the unit so as to be able to load it into a holder. That way, I am theroetically only increasing the thickness by 4-6mm.
As for covering the camera a: I don't really use it, b: If its in a holder, who cares.
I could get the power specs easily enough but I can't fathom out if the wizard has SDIO or not.
If I do get this one going, I'll keep everyone posted.
Hello,
I damaged the SD card connector of my HTC Himalaya and have to replace it. There are so many different connector types to find on the internet and I don't know which one will fit best. Do you have any suggestions? Do you have any informations about the built-in SD card connector of the HTC Himalaya?
Thanks,
Jann

Hi again,
I've asked about the SD card connector. You posted information about the used application specific integrated circuit (asic). I need to know which kind of SD card connector is used and where I can find one to replace it...
Bye,
Jann
no the first link was to hardware in general
you can even see the barcode on the sd card connector
too bad you cant see it well enough though
maybe you can conect the guy who took the pictures
or look yourself if you have the barcode too
HEy guys! I have a small problem. I have a Kingston 1 GB microSD with miniSD adapter and I wanted to use it with my Wizard, but it's not working! (On my PC it works) Please help! I've tried several ROMs (thought that it's the failure of the software), but no effect. Maybe the device's slot turned dead?
you should first check if it accepts a regular MiniSD card and see. i heard about adapter compatibility issues so it might be that.. but again, check if it works with Regular miniSD... if it doesn't, it's probably a problem with your device. try a shortcircuit between the leg on the far left and the one before far right one.. (after putting it in your adapter)..
Thank you for your fast reply! I will do as you adviced and write when I got any news.
no prob.. just make sure you don't burn your card.. hope it helps.
Hello all! This is my first time modding a phone, and it went pretty smoothly. I am running Android with almost no issues! Thanks to this forum I figured out my issues... my only problem now, is my phone won't connect via USB and it says the SD card is damaged. I don't know what to do about this, and I really want to get some apps downloaded, use the camera, etc. What are my steps to making this work 100%?
Thanks a ton, everyone!

Ok, so did a little experiment- the 2gb MicroSD I had laying around works flawlessly. Does Cyanogenmod7 not support a car this big? I really don't want to go back to 2gb!
Really, no one can help.
I think no uses 2g too much anymore, try 16g or 32g cards & some say even the 64g cards run on their HD2
