Full ODIN stock ATT files.
Download one file, extract to 4 files, put in ODIN and flash.
I take no responsibility if anything goes wrong. You don't need to be on certain baseband to flash this, you can flash this directly from any baseband version.

I don't think you can root it, most of the developers don't even bother finding root exploits because the bootloader is locked. You can try something yourself but that may brick the device

Thank you very much! I originally did an OTA from Nougat to Oreo. I'm not sure if it's my bad luck or if someone else can relate, but doing an OTA to a whole new version is super sketchy. I much prefer to flash the new version, and this did the trick! All the weird little ticks my phone had are gone! OR maybe it was about that time for a factory reset :silly:
EDIT: Also thanks for the latest OTA! Does anyone know if the Russian cloud guy gave up? Right now I am pretty sure this is the only place to get it...

I was stuck at at^t logo on nougat, I had nothing to lose so I tried it and flashed the first file successfully, what to do next ? How to flash the other files? Do not lough at me , I am a newbie .
Do I have to flash first G891AUCU4CRH1-to-S4CRJ1 and than G891AUCS4CRJ1-to-S4CRK1, or I can flash directly the second one G891AUCS4CRJ1-to-S4CRK1?
How to flash them, through recovery ?
Thank you very much

Yes you need to flash first G891AUCU4CRH1-to-S4CRJ1 and than G891AUCS4CRJ1-to-S4CRK1
Here are the steps:
1.) Turn off the phone. Hold down Volume Up + Home + Power until you see a little Android guy. It will say Applying System Update or something like that possibly, and just let it do it's thing until a menu comes up.
2.) Select "Apply update from ADB". You can scroll using the volume buttons and select using the power button.
3.) Make sure you have ADB and the proper drivers installed on your PC:
http://dl.adbdriver.com/upload/adbdriver.zip
4.)Put the firmware in the ADB folder. You can rename it to anything easy to remember like "FIRMWARE".
5.) In the ADB folder, hold SHIFT + right mouse click and choose "Open command window here". Then type the command "adb sideload FIRMWARE" (where FIRMWARE is how you named your file).
6.) Wait patiently.
7.) The phone will reboot and will hang at AT&T logo. This can take another 10 minutes, just wait until it's done

You don't need to extract it, the error part cannot read FIRMWARE is beacause you didn't rename your archive to FIRMWARE, and you don't need to, that is just example in the process.
adb sideload G891AUCU4CRH1-to-S4CRJ1.zip and after the phone updates and restart sideload the newest
adb sideload G891AUCS4CRJ1-to-S4CRK1.zip

In fact I renamed it just as you said, the zip was in the same folder as adb, maybe I have to try on another pc later, the problem was that when I installed adb it said adb already installed on this pc, so maybe there was an older adb installaion on my laptop and something went wrong.
Will try later on another pc.
Is it possible to flash it through recovery from sd card without using ADB?

Been a while since I messed with my phone, last time I was looking at doing this there were warnings of not being able to return to nougat if using newer BL's, is this still an issue or are we all clear now?
Also, i'm 99% sure I have had this phone rooted at some point for a while last year for a while before I had to factory reset. OP you sure about the bootloader comment you made? I could def be wrong, but I think it was this phone.

If you flash bootloader with updated binary, you cannot install older bootloader. About the rooting part im not 100% sure, there are no active developers for this phone, mostly because the bootloader is locked, and thats why there are no root posts, its hard to find root exploit, if you can remember how you achieved root status please share it with us
Hi guys!
I have a doubt... I'm in the baseband version G981AUCU2CRC7, so, can I install the G891AUCU4CRH1 baseband and then upgrade it until the G891AUCS4CRK4 baseband? Yes, I know that it says that I can install it from any baseband version but I just want to avoid any unnecessary risk.
Thank you! ?
I haven't flashed anything in a while, so can I update from Marshmallow using this or do I first need to be on Nougat ? do I need to choose just one file for my phone ? I have the AT&T version SM-G891A on 6.0.1, G891AUCU2APK2 Baseband ? also, is Oreo doing good with speed of the device and battery or is it worse than Marshmallow ? So right now, I'm torn between Updating to Nougat and Rooting, or updating to Oreo without root, I don't really care much for rooting, my biggest concern is speed and battery life, I'm on stock Marshmallow and everything is ok and I get 15h 18m (9h 13m Active) , I wanna update, what do you recommend ?
Damn I feel like such a noob, I've updated to Nougat before and rooted my device and gone back to Marshmallow but now I can't remember for the life of me how to do THIS, I wanna update to the latest Oreo, is there a tutorial on how to do this ? I'm not understanding which file I need to download or how to do it, please help I'm on Marshmallow 6.0.1 and I just restored it to factory. You could use the return to stock tool in the development section and just take the OTA. Then you can just reflash TWRP.
Thanks for the quick response, but I have done that a couple of times and i have received the OTA, but the install always fails. I am using the RTS program that has the file that starts out with CLARK_RETUS_5.1.1_LPH23.116-18.......... Is there another that i should be using? BTW, I am on the European 1572 variant if that matters. Thanks again for the reply!
I've got the same problem, I'm on the 1572 instead of the 1575 and not sure on what to do with the return to stock tool
I just went through this yesterday. I tried the twrp but got no WiFi even with flashing the modem. I tried return to stick and failed the first time. I tried return to stick the second time but flashed the modem file by itself again and then the MM upgrade worked. That is the only thing I did differently.

dont use the return to stock tool for the xt1575 on the xt1572, you need to get the xt1572 firmware from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/development/pure-firmware-tuff-wip-t3224833 get it, and unzip it, then get this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzsA17IjC5k2Y203VklsVDhseDQ/view?usp=sharing and put it in the same directory, make sure you have fastboot installed system wide, otherwise put the files in the same directory as the images, boot the phone into fastboot mode (power + vol down), plug into computer, and run the flash-all batch script, once done, the phone should reboot into stock 5.1.1

I can only tell you the only thing I did differently after returning to stock was to flash the non-hlos.bin file in fastboot a second time. I believe that is the correct file name. I am not at home to verify. That is all it took for me. I would try again. I have seen others that have repeated steps that did not work the first time to have it work the next time.
Keep in mind I am on US 1575 version but I don't see why it wouldn't work for you as long as you have the proper files. I would initially get to 15 or 20% and it would just fail with no error code.

I think people who were in that version didn't got any update to B37x.
To my (limited) knowledge B180>B370 excluding betas.
in my case failed at 9% and I do not want to reset phone... staying at b180

@Ing.King really strange, i did it without any issue.
By the way guys, I just released it. It's up to you, updating or not..
We who had only B371 couldn't either update. Where and when will we get B30?

Really soo weird, I installed it at once without facing any problem.
It doesn't need a clean B180 rom because I installed it over my usual rom. It wasn't clean.
Something must be wrong in somewhere... but where?
Back here again..
No good news, tried to instal via sd, same issue, fail at 6%
But, but, but there might be a reason, i flashed the sdk21 of xposed, and idk how to remove it.. maybe this is the cause of it....
When you installed, you had to : unroot & put the recovery back ? Or you where "clean"
I'll try tomorrow, with a rest head

Oh, when I was saying "not clean" I meant installed apps and my all data
And yes, my rom was clean if we consider root and recovery condition.

Hi,
Hmmm so maybe the xposed package.rar i've flashed made this error
Well, i'll try when i receive the H8
Or maybe i had to put the recovery of B100 instead of B180 :/
Edit 1 : When i check the local.prop, there is "ro.dual.sim.phone=false" or the PLK-L01 is a dual sim, so i don't understand ^^
Edit 2 : Flash with TWRP =
MD5's missing
coming from B180 stock /rooted /xposed.....
1.) i flashed all possible partitions i had extracted (HuaweiExtractor) from B180. (system; cust; boot; recovery)
2.) reboot
3.) i flashed full rom B180 from folder dload (vol up&down&power) to be sure to get really all parts of firmware!
4.) reboot
5.) local update b190.zip from folder dload
6.) reboot
7.) i flashed twrp rc3 with fastboot to recovery partition
8.) had rooted and installed xposed now
all works as expected! Now i am on B190.
at least i had to install some modifications to system again and recover my data partition (twrp)
all in all nearly 1 hour hard work!

Hi,
In fact you just cleaned up your B180 in order to instal the 190 ?
The "real" B180
Pure stock if i could say ? Sure, it will work, but i tried to install it without getting back to stock^^
uff 1 hour to achieve upgrade... pity that I have to do factory reset to make upgrade to b190, no root no open bootloader no changes to firmware despite all this I cannot upgrade normal way... very sad, bad job honor(huawei)
because i had made a backup of my apps and data with the HUAWEI backup app (update to version from PlayStore is necessary!) recovery was easy! Had to remove some blood ware and unused apps only!
then reinstalled PMplus; managed autostart and apps they should stay on if screen is off.
reinstalled my google account
all in all a little bit more than 1 hour like i told you
now i am on b190 rooted; xposed and xprivacy activ on; and of curse Viper4Android for better sound.
real easy!

Yes, as B371 is the latest one so they will push B371 only, now there are no incrementals. But I have put up a thread here, maybe sometime later I'll post the OTAs too.

Ok, i did follow the steps and it still doesnt boot! What should i try next?
If you installed an update zip it probably wants the stock recovery which you can get in the development thread on this forum. Flash that through fastboot then throw a folder named dload with an update.app in it on your sd card. Phone off hold power vol up and vol down until it brings you to a circle with emui inside. Should run fine after that. If not use the stock recovery to factory reset.
The reason your phone won't boot is because out never encrypted itself.for some reason that means life or death to mate 8 firmware

when you start the flash.all.bat and you see the unbrick message your phone should be busy and install the above official firmware and recovery. If not run it again disconnect your phone and connect it again when the unbrick message shows. To me worked fine. You must have your phone in fastboot off course
Hey everyone!
I know there are threads here about updating the Axon 7 already. I've pretty much tried everything I've read on here but I still can't seem to update my Axon 7 which is currently in version A2017GV1.0.0B03.
I've tried downloading from the update files from the German site, which didn't work & also download the B06 from the download centre, which also didn't work.
The update app doesn't detect any update files & when I try to update via recovery it gives me an error saying footer error.
Would really appreciate some help here.
Thank you.

Thank you for the suggestion Marik. But the problem I have at the moment is that my phone doesn't detect the update.zip files I put onto my SD card & even if I tried to flash it via recovery, it fails.

First look at the back of the phone and be sure it's an A2017G. If it is, and you don't care about losing all data, just use MiFlash. You can get the idea of how to use it by looking at my DFU unbrick guide. Just download the latest miflash package there is, use adb and issue 'adb reboot edl' and skip to the part where you get edl by shorting a testpad on the guide. There you will be able to flash the FULL_EDL package with no problemo
Common trouble is that people rename stock pack - there is "update.zip" inside folder in zip. Check is that not dual zipping.

Thanks for the help guys. I feel incredibly dumb right now coz all I really had to do was just put the update.zip into my internal storage. It's updating now. *facepalmed to the moon & back*

Hello everyone, have been a long time
I have a VNS-L21 (P9 Lite 2016) from Colombia, it worked fine but I started to get more and more ads over the time so I decided to unlock the bootloader and root it, and I did it, after almost a year of working just fine, the phone start to restart by itself with no reason around 1 or 2 days per month, they were not scheduled or something.
Last night the phone started to restart by itself again, but this time after it turned on completely it went off some minutes later and started to restart several times without reason, I got frustrated so I decided to uninstall root (thought it was the problem) but the problem was still there, turn on and after some minutes it went off and restart.
Then I decided to check for updates and it had a pending update so I chose to install it but after restart, it won’t come on and kept in an endless boot loop.
Can anyone help me and tell me what to do? Thanks in advance...

Hello,
I bet that along with the root you also had a custom recovery.
So if before you install the update you have re-flashed the stock recovery, simply hold vol + and power button until it restarts in e-recovery mode. At this point make a factory reset and wipe cache.
Reboot system, done.
If instead you have not reinstalled the stock recovery, download one for the system you use (android 6 or 7) and install it via fastboot. ( you can download a rom the same version you use and extract recovery with extractor.
There are two recovery.img in the rom, just take recovery, NOT recovery2 ).
Try to reboot with vol + and power until you turn it on,
then factory reset in custom recovery.
Reboot in fastboot mode, install stock recovery, reboot system and launch again the update.
Happy holidays and good luck

No worries dude my english is very bad too......
So, you're in nougat L21, but what is your complete firmware ? (example L21C432B504)
Then download from official THREAD Firmware Finder for PC and unzip in a folder on your desktop.
Launch FF and go to COMMON BASE tab.
Type your complete firmware into search space and click on the search button...
Find FULL OTA MF firmware, tap on FILELIST tab, a pop up will appear...
Select the whole link of ONLY update.zip and copy/past into your browser for download...
Once downloaded, unzip to a folder on your desktop.
Download Huawei Update Extractor you find here on XDA...
Launch HUE and select UPDATE.APP you find into folder you just unzipped from upadate.zip...
Now you'll see two recovery, just select recovery.img and with mouse's* right key extract somewere on your desktop...
Done dude you have stock recovery....
Copy that .img recovery into your adb/fastboot folder (very important) and reboot in fastboot mode.
If you don't have adb/fastboot just download here from XDA..
From PC with terminal launch "fastboot flash recovery
(name.of.recovery).img" and recovery will be flashed.
Now you have stock recovery and can make stock ota update correctly.
Hope all will take right way, feel free to ask.
Good luck :fingers-crossed:

Hello again
thanks for your help, your guide is really useful
One more thing (excuse me for my little knowledge about this) I don't know what's the exact firmware for my phone, I mean I know it is VNS-L21 and should end B3xx but don't know which C... (I didn't check before the cellphone started to bootloop).
I search around the web and found some recommend the C432 one so I download the update.zip from it, would it have any problem if I flash the recovery from there?
And last thing, Can I flash recovery with P9 lite Toolkit? or just through adb? thanks in advance.

Dude at this step how can you tell you were on nougat ?
Is your device branded / unbranded one ?
I searched for Colombia firmware and L21 device don't exist, please check behind the cover,
it's wrote at the bottom. ( maybe L23 one ? )
Try to someway backup your stuff then
reboot with vol+ and power button to recovery, tap WIPE then SWIPE to factory reset.
If boot correctly see inside wich is your complete firmware.
C432 are for european area devices, teoratically should work, but will not risk...
Recovery.img can be easily be flashed with toolkit, i used it a lot of times...

Hey dude
You really know about this, I'm sure because I updated the phone to Nougat before unlock and root it, time after an update came but I ignore it (I know it was a security updated not sure which one).
Yes, I just checked my phone in the backpart and it is L23, my bad, when you say branded it means if it is related to a phone/internet company? No, it is not tied to any company, I bought it free from internet.
I really don't care about backing up, if it starts from zero or is back to previous stage is fine for me since it can turn on and use it .
Cheers!

OK, since from first time i saw this post i thinked was a hardware problem, hope no....
You have to reboot to recovery holding vol+ and power button until a recovery will appear.
Then make a factory reset as already wrote in previous post.

Hi there
Sorry for the late reply...
I managed to turn on the phone updating it through dload method (installing stock kernel and trying to update it with erecovery didn't work) without your help I wouldn't know how to to download the right firmware for my phone. Now, my phone is working "properly".
BUT my phone show a new update, when I tried to install it, it says "your device fail verification and may not work properly" and won't install the update, after that if I reboot the phone it will show your device... sign in red letters and won't turn on without choosing continue (when I was using custom kernel, it will show some letters in orange I think, but will turn on by itself without pressing continue) when I installed the firmware through dload I didn't see that message till I try to update the phone.
Thanks in advance and a very happy new year!.

Dear forgive me, even for me English it's not my main language and maybe
i did not grab everything you posted. Did you use the dload method?
So you were on EMUI 4 / android 6, but now? If I understand correctly when you turn
on the device, see the red lines and press the power button to boot into the system?
If so, unlock again the bootloader.
If you want to post some screenshots so as to simplify ...
Best regards

Hey dude,
Don't worry about replying soon or late,
we all have our personal stuff to do in our lifes...
You' ve been lucky you don't bricked your device using dload method
on your nougat/android 7 rom version.
This is allowed only to downgrade to a precedent android version (in your case android 6/Marshmallow...)
Even it says your bootloader is unlocked, it isn't, so backup your stuff and unlock it again.
Once unlocked, factory reset will start. When finished do wipe cache too...
Booting into the system will now show yellow (not red) lines and after a bit will automatically boot.
Will take some minutes... ( prepare a coffee )
Set up your phone and look forward for updates...
If all will take right direction, new update will completely lock the bootloader
and at the reboot no yellow or red lines will appears. :fingers-crossed:
Voilà, complete stock with latest firmware.
Take your coffee and enjoy
Best regards
P.S.: Remove or obscure the screenshot with imei codes ( it's sensitive datas )
