Tried everything but the controller just doesn't get recognized. I'm unable to navigate the phone using the controller and the phone just keeps on charging the controller.
My phone is running on Android Pie with latest November security patch. The cable I'm using is Type C Male to Type A Female.

Hello All! I recently purchased an OTG cable so that I could pair a PS3 controller to my nexus. Unfortunately, I haven't been successful. My device is rooted running the factory 4.2.2. update. I have flashed CWM. Upon plugging in my device and using the Sixaxis tool it doesn't seem to "hear" the controller. What am I doing wrong?

The reason it's not working is that the Nexus doesn't have the drivers for a ps3 controller. I hook my Xbox to my N7 but only after I found the files I needed on xda. Search for how to pair ps3 controller with N7. Hopefully this helps out.

Are you plugging your usb cable from your ps3 controller into the otg cable? Here is an video that should solve your problem.

I use LG G2 D802 in Turkey.
Stock Rom with root access . I bought OTG cable for my phone (cheap one) and try to use it.
I used with USB Stick drive and microsoft basic wireless mouses.
But with the Logitech mouses and External Disk Dirves not work with this cable.
When I pluged the Logitech Mouses It seem mouse and keybord added to phone but any cursos appear. I wait a lot and restart the phone but not worked. I use Logitech Anywhere MX and M510 both didnot work.
Also When I plug 3.5"(with power supply) and 2.5(data usb to phone and other power usb to computer also didnot work. Only USB stickes work for OTG.
My brothers samsung S2(stock rom JB 4.1 with no root access) works with logitech mouses with same OTG cable.

I can not use the digitizer and want to save the compelet device.
It is NOT rooted with android is 5.1.
I can use the pad with external mouse/Keyboard via OTG cable
Debugging is generaly on, but never used before.
When i plug in the pc via cable on that only usb port, i'm asked to allow the security certificate .........
But at that moment I have no mouse connected, when i switch cable, the dialog disapears.. Catch 42
Tried it with usb hub... no way

I don't know if you will be able to because from what I've read you can't just plug the controller into the phone via OTG because the controller doesn't connect through the wire it only connects via wireless and the cable just does syncing and charging duties. You would prolly need the wireless adapter that came out for using them with Windows 10 PCs.

Maybe you could with a 3rd party wired controller but there is no official wired controller as far as I've seen
What it is Im trying to do is be able to plus my phone directly into a ps4 to give the ps4 internet access. I've tried using a USB otg cable and connecting a USB to ethernet adapter made for a laptop(did not work). Any thoughts?
