What's wrong with this battery?

I am experiencing difficulties with my original battery. Please see:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1244502
When I replace with another battery the usage time is reset. Then when I put the original battery again it goes on with the previous battery's on time. I am going nuts here. Even during charge the Samsung battery shows the last on time. I discharged this one, and the phone went off, now charging again, but the battery still shows some 9 hours of usage. How do i reset its timer? I am going to throw it from the window.
If you have CWM, boot to CWM, go to advance then wipe battery statistics.
Thanx but I havent rooted this device yet, but I am thinking about. Isnt there another way? When it was hot hot hot I was affraid that its chip had been cooked, but with other batteries it stayed cool and fully working. Even with the problematic battery the temp never exceeded 34 C ever again. I dont know what happened that time. Now the only problem is the memory counter of this specific battery.

Battery usage resetting itself ?

This has just started happening for me after about a couple weeks of use my battery usage stats days hours minutes are no longer being remembered after I power off so I have no idea after a full charge how long its been running down, if I check those stats its starting from 0 seconds every time I power on not just after a full charge.
This is on stock with only a few apps installed not unlocked or rooted have also done a reset but it didn't make a difference.
Any ideas ?????

Fast battery draining even in deep sleep Possible Solution

Hello in these days i having facing fast battery draining even in deeep sleep, but after some research i maybe found one solution its very simple:
1st: Charge your phone until 100%
2nd: Turn off and pull out the battery for 2 hours or more
3rd: Put Battery and Charge your phone again until 100%
4th: Remove battery wait half hour or more
5th: Put the battery again and charge the phone until 100%
6th: Repeat the process until when you put the battery the phone is charged at 100% or a little less when this happens make a battery calibration with this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/...xLDEsImNvbS5uZW1hLmJhdHRlcnljYWxpYnJhdGlvbiJd or a similar one, or in cwm wipe battery stats
Please if the post if repetead delete
Share your sucess or completly fail
For me works im about 1 hour with phone connected (deep sleep )and only drops 1 % before i made this "recalibration" my phone drops about 5 or 6 % in one hour after 12 hours almost all time in deep sleep a little time in wi-fi and one little call and only drops until 90%

Battery stats all over the place after battery replacement

My phone is used as a backup device and had very short , about 3 hours, standby time due to obvious age related battery wear so I decided to have a go at replacing the battery and reviving the old nexus 4.
I ordered a replacement battery off ebay (sold as OEM) and changed the battery myself. the phone was factory reset afterwards and left on charger overnight.
to my surprise it never gets above 42% and as soon as the cable is unplugged it goes nuts, drops to something like 15% then a minute afterwards it just shuts down. when turned back on its at 34% then drops again and turns off...
I have tried everything , factory reset full wipe, battery calibration apps etc without any success
any help would be greatly appreciated .
phone is stock 5.1.1 , rooted
Had the same issue, tried two "OEM" batteries from ebay, I put back my old used genuine battery. I was able to charge up to 100% but one was dying around 40%, the other around 20%.
Anyway the lifespan was really short (5-6hours) with the same drops and ups in the percentage as you described

After factory reset, I still have only 2:45 hour of sot

Good evening everyone. After one year, I still can't fix my "phone idle" battery drain problem.
I made two factory resets, and one repair with Xperia Companion but the problem remains: in the entire day, the Phone idle process is the one who drains all my battery.
At 12:00 pm, my phone in 3G reaches 60% of the battery. When I return home under wifi, the phone discharges a bit slower, but I can't never reach 3 hours of screen on time.
Is there a way, without rooting it to fix this software problem?
Or should I have to root it?
Thanks in advance
