Only and only solution for this problem is at first you have to root your phone then download network signal guru app from the play store and lock your lte band to band 5 and 3( or whatever suits you most).

Phone switch off if i select band 40 in netwrok signal guru (max pro m1)
Help! My phone automatically switched off if i select band 40 in network signal guru app.My phone is rooted and havoc 3.1 os is running.
BAND 3 and 5 work very fine but BAND 40 is not selected.

[GUIDE] Increase JIO speed

How to speed up jio connection?
I am posting pre configuration also as well as in case pre configuration not work you can try at your own hit and trial method.
Pre config -
I am not providing any downloadable files or content. This process needs root and volte supported roms. Custom lineage and its based roms still can have issue. It will work best on eui roms ( stock and customs) .
App need -
Net guru (free) - download
1. Download net guru app. And give root access . It will take some time for configuration.
2. Wait untill it shows LTE testing.
3. Now go to menu and select lock bands.
4. Now select LTE and select "B3 1800+" band.
5. Restart and. Enjoy new speed.
Reason to lock only this band -
Coverage + speed too.
Check speed by trai app.
If above method don't work then follow till 3rd step and now select 3 individual bands at which jio works and check your speed at individual bands and lock them at your most preferable band.
Details about bands:
Jio is using 3 LTE bands for 4G:
Band 3 (1800Mhz),
Band 5 (850Mhz)
and Band 40 (2300Mhz)
If LTE Bands are arranged according to services then
Best 4G coverage*: Band 5 > Band 3 > Band 40
Best 4G Speed*: Band 40 > Band 3 > Band 5
Average 4G speed*: Band 40 : 30mbps+Band 3 : 14mbps+Band 5 : 5mbps+
Extra -
1. After Deleting app band locking still works.
2. Restarting doesn't affect band locking.
3. Updating roms or changing also not affect band locking.
4. It's not necessary band 3 will give you more speed or coverage try according to your area. Mine is most suitable at B3.
Working - Sim - up. Working in Delhi, haryana and up.
Post your results.
Thank you bro
If you will use this trick then you both incoming and outgoing call will not work at the time of data connection ,you have to switch to flight mode to enable again

Can i unlock band5(850mhz) in my redmi 2 prime

Plz guide me to to unlock band5 in redmi 2 prime in my location band 5 is selected but my phone doesn't have unlock band 5 thats why i am getting so poor Network coverage plz can anyone help me
i too need this question's answer as we knows QC SD410 supports 2100Mhz & 850Mhz also but not enabled in redmi 2.
i tried with the QXDM tool messing with the NV values
as Vodafone only supports band 1 (2100Mhz) & surprisingly Dazen 1 having same Soc gets the 4G network of Vodafone but in redmi 2 it shows only 3g .
I tried to copy the dazen 1 nv values but still no luck.
it needs some more stuff to unlock the bands & m pretty sure its possible but dont know how

Fluctuating LTE signals on Band 5 (850 MHz)

I have a SGS 8 SM-G950FD.
a few days ago, I noticed that the LTE signals on my phone were fluctuating a lot between 1 - 3 bars and then suddenly reverting to H+ and staying there.
At first, I though it's just network issue. however, days after, the issue still persists.
The said issue appears on Telenor Pak Band 5 (850MHz) LTE. It happens whether the phone is indoors or outdoors. Same sim on other phones works good with LTE.
However, I tried to use LTE SIM of another network (Band 3 1800 MHZ) and that is working flawlessly.
Tried factory data reset, reflashing stock firmware. Na da .
Any help would be appreciated.

It's issue with lower band frequency 850 and 900
I rolled back to April firmware to get network band locking but still it was the same.... Need to visit Samsung center or warranty provider

Hey guys. Can any one tell how to select a paricular LTE band (3 or 5 or 40) in asus zenphone max pro without root. Any secret code for that? Dont confuse band selection with network mode selection (2g/3g/4g). I saw solution for rooted phone. But i dnt want to root.

Can not be done without root - I am actually trying to discover exactly at what level band locking is done from so I can develop an app just for band locking on Qualcomm chips.
I do know that root is required because we have to interface with the chipset and access phone state as well as RIL manipulation and I think even the network constants.
I am very new to programming but have scoured the code for hours and hours and have a pretty good idea how the modem and os communicate in relation to frequency bands.
NSG is the only app that currently can lock a specific frequency.
You may be able to do it with qxdm. I used it to add lte lte bands on my old lg g2 so you should be able to lock an lte band. Just be careful while using it as u may overwrite/delete important nv values. Google for more details.

I use nsg for more than a year... And it's doing band locking job perfectly
I use NSG but it doesn't work flawlessly, it perfectly locks on band 3 and band 5 but can't lock band 40 on this device, all enforcing is cleared after some time after locking it to band 40. It is irritating because band 40 gives the best speed in jio.
Does anyone have any idea how to lock band 40 perfectly?
