Hi all,
This is probably the #4829 post with identical topic, a very common issue, but unfurtunately this time i wasn't able to solve it alone so any help will be appreciated.
I own a i9506 (LTE-A edition) S4. until now with a 4.3 ROM.
I was forced to encrypt the device by Microsoft Exchange services and lock it with a code, after a while i decided it's time to upgrade to a new firmware and downloaded a brand new ROM which i found in xda.
I flashed twrp and the new rom, rebooted the device and viola, it freezed on the i9506 logo screen. i tried a different kernel which led me to the code locking screen, every time i tried to type something, it gave me "keyboard stopped" error.
So i decided it's good time to do a full format, so i downloaded an original stock rom for i9506 4.4.2 I9506XXUCNJ1_I9506NEECNJ1_I9506XXUCNF3_HOME.tar.md5 flashed it with Odin (using AP) still, the same issue. tried to do full wipe through original recovery instead of twrp, every time i flash original recovery i'm not able to login to it.
i'm pretty much stuck with flashing and wiping, any idea where to go from here?
Thanks!
Is it carrier locked, and what carrier if it is?
My galaxy a5 has a custom rom on it, and I decided to go back to the stock one, but I tried with odin, with kies, with smart switch, and as soon as the phone starts installing the rom, it gets stuck on 0%, please help me, how can I fix this?:crying:
Didn't you backuped Yet?
#Restore backup
Download leatest firmware And flash it
So I've been installing custom roms for as long as I can remember but I've come to a part where I am kind of stuck.
I upgraded my phone to the S9 Port rom Alexis and on the latest V5.6.1 I ran into an error that can't seem to be fixed.
/mount/data error in TWRP... I've done all the wipe and repair and stuff in TWRP and yeah it works great no issue and then when I reboot the phone wala… Same issue... No data mount error again and it's seems to be unable to cure so I can't even install any files at all through TWRP as all my memory shows as 0.
I'm wanting to flash back to stock on a GALAXY S8! but obviously going to an S9 port changed my model number to G960F.
How do I go by this? I don't wanna use odin to flash back to a G950 and run into the risk of it completely bricking my phone... Can I actually install an official stock rom of G960 on my device and make it a Stock S9 rom on an S8 or will installing my old model number file make it go back to the stock S8 rom?
Unless someone knows a fix to my issue with TWRP /mount/data error then i'd be greatly appreciated but right now i'm just thinking back to stock and then re-root.
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
I have a problem converting samsung note 4 n910p to n910f. At the beginning I dowloaded TWRP and flash it by Odin. I made a backup of everything then downloaded the rom for samsung galaxy n910f Pixel Experience. When installing rom I get a message "ERROR 7". It occurs when installing each custom os example: ViperOS, HAVOCOS rom. All the time there is the same problem. On the xda forum I found a user manual how to flash the baseband firmware. I flashed OK1 - nothing has changed then PE2 - the same, "error 7" is still there. I also tried the Trex888 user manual to install T-mobile OS + ramkernel + datafix and the phone stops while loading - bootloop and the teelphone temperature is rising that I cant touch it when I leave it on the bootloop.
Do you have any verified way to install custom rom to n910p? It's hard to find a clear instruction on what to change to flash a custom rom on n910p
I restore backup and have a bootloop on the sprint logo
I ll try to instal Dr Keaton rom with H-vitaminkernel, maybe this ll help...
see
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68967827&postcount=2
and subsequent posts in that thread
I will check the method described in this post again, but I did it before :crying:. All new roms with android 9 like for example havocOS have written that they also work with trtlespr. This is written in the information when installing the rom in twrp. So why does error 7 pop up for?
I did the first method by installing the PE1 baseband from this topic:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-sprint/development/basebandsbootloaders-ok1-pc1-pb5-t3358357
Then, according to the instructions, I installed the system, krnel and datafix.
"Try this rom this will work flash rom and dartafix and kernel all together
Download rom
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224381907
Download data fix
https://mega.nz/#!qcdnySyB!55DemVnZN...a0u4_V60fn5mKo
Download kernel
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=117985 "
The system doesn't start, it stays on SAMSUNG screen and gets bootloop. The phone heats up very strongly within a few minutes, it is possible that even the processor temperature is higher than 80 * C.
By installing firmware and baseband PE1 from the above link in Odin shows that everything is ok ( success). But can it be that, despite everything, the baseband did not get in, therefore it does not accept this rom or any other?
The same example, when after flashing TWRP by Odin, if we do not disconnect the battery, TWRP will not install. Is this possible with baseband and frimware for PE1?
Ok, I tried everything that was in the post you linked. I flash my phone to PE1 firmware, then install dedicated rom, datafix, kernel from links and phone stuck on samsung loading logo. This situation i s always when i try any rom. When I do a restore backup phone stuck on Sprint logo...
Can anyone help with this?
Has anyone ever installed a customrom with android 9 on n910p?
I have sm-n910f as a backup and I can do anything on it.
Are these n910ps somehow handicapped?
n910p that I ave is in very good visual condition, without scratches. If I can't do anything with flashing new rom on n910p phone, can I buy a motherboard from n910f or n910c and install it inside instead of n910p board?

Thanks, for the reply. maybe I ll try to once again install the customrom before I order the board form China :cyclops:
Can someone explain me how to install example HavocOS ( android 9 ) on n910p? This is possible because when I install it in TWRP there is information about compatible version of phones and there is "trtlespr". So it must be possible to install HavocOS on n910p
Why I need to change the rom in this phone? I live i Europe so Sprint stock rom dont want to connect with my Red Bull Mobile or T-mobile operators...
Ok, I install Dtux Rom on Standard PK1 Sprint rom. Working, but I hv problem with T-mobile network. Everything is working on the GSM module but without internet. When I go to settings and then network -> change to CDMA or LTE I hv information "Searching for service" and no signal. So how to activate mobile data - internet connection on this rom? I know thath LTE is not working in EU with Sprint N4 but even CDMA is not working
Samsung Glaxy TAB A 8.0 SM-T355Y (LTE version)
I need to get this Tab off Nougat (7.1.1) as it's dead slow and almost un-usable, even with rooting and debloating. My wife has stopped using it and I don't want it to become another piece of e-waste. I appear to be out of options and wondered if anyone had any suggestions.
Note: it appears there is also a T355 for the Asian/Arab market that it different to the T355Y. This model only shipped with 7.1.1.
So far I have tried the following:
a) Root/TWRP/debloat of stock ROM. This seems to work initially but any usage in a browser is painfully slow.
Then in an attempt to find something other then the stock nougat ROM
b) [ROM][UNOFFICIAL][LineageOS 16.0][Android 9.0][SM-T350]
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/development/rom-t3903258
Modifying the config to remove Assert details means that it flashes fine but during boot the screen distorts and when it recovers the touch screen is out of calibration and it emits a high pitched whine. Might be able to find a solution for the screen but we can't put up with the whine.
c) I then tried flashing the 7.1.1 stock boot image for the T355Y in combo with the above and it hangs at the Samsung screen and never goes any further.
d) I then tried flashing the 6.0.1 stock boot image for the T355 in combo with the above and get:
Kernel is not SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit : Kernel
and it then hangs at the Samsung screen before rebooting into TWRP, any reboot just goes back into TWRP.
e) I then tried the FENIX V2 Rom based on 6.0.1 for the T355
[ROM][ROOT][STOCK][DEBLOATED][6.0.1] [FENIX ROM] Galaxy Tab A Series
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/development/rom-galaxy-tab-series-t3514996
This flashes fine from TWRP but the Wifi doesn't work, the solution by the creator of the ROM is to load a stock Russian 6.0.1 ROM via ODIN first but this won't work as I get Secure Check Fail: aboot as clearly its a ROM for a slightly different model.
Now I seem to be out of options that I can find. Anyone got suggestions for what to try next?
Any updates?
Bump!
Desperately looking for a way to make this device workable!
Any option including building own ROM, installing pure Linux, etc.is acceptable at this point. All I need is for WiFi to work.
PLEASE HELP!
