[Q] i9506 stuck at samsung logo after odin and no recovery - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
This is probably the #4829 post with identical topic, a very common issue, but unfurtunately this time i wasn't able to solve it alone so any help will be appreciated.
I own a i9506 (LTE-A edition) S4. until now with a 4.3 ROM.
I was forced to encrypt the device by Microsoft Exchange services and lock it with a code, after a while i decided it's time to upgrade to a new firmware and downloaded a brand new ROM which i found in xda.
I flashed twrp and the new rom, rebooted the device and viola, it freezed on the i9506 logo screen. i tried a different kernel which led me to the code locking screen, every time i tried to type something, it gave me "keyboard stopped" error.
So i decided it's good time to do a full format, so i downloaded an original stock rom for i9506 4.4.2 I9506XXUCNJ1_I9506NEECNJ1_I9506XXUCNF3_HOME.tar.md5 flashed it with Odin (using AP) still, the same issue. tried to do full wipe through original recovery instead of twrp, every time i flash original recovery i'm not able to login to it.
i'm pretty much stuck with flashing and wiping, any idea where to go from here?
Thanks!

Is it carrier locked, and what carrier if it is?

[Q] AT&T Wipe, flash stock? Still root?

EDIT: FULL STORY BELOW. SKIP TO SECOND REPLY FOR UPDATE!
900A, AT&T, WAS 4.4.4. I rooted my phone with towelroot by downgrading via ODIN then reflashing 4.4.4. I've had the phone for a year and wanted to experiment with some custom roms--specifically Twi5ted Lollipop. The version I found last night was V3. Anyways I followed the instructions of installing safestrap then attempting to create a partition to host the mod. Every time I tried to boot the partition I would wait 12 minutes with nothing but a black screen (I presume a bootloop.) After reading some posts here I found it requires a clean flash--not a dirty flash. So I used safestrap to backup, then I wiped it and installed the mod. Nothing--still black screen. I then attempted to restore the backup I saved--fails every time.
At this point being the noob I am, I started to get very concerned. I went into advanced wipe and for some reason selected 'system' and wiped it. After a reboot, it shows the Samsung logo, goes blank, vibrates then goes back to the Samsung logo. I went into the standard bootloader and attempted to restore to factory settings but there is nothing to restore of course cause I wiped everything.
I'm currently at work bored as heck cause my phone is wiped. I can still go into download mode thankfully. Should I have no problems flashing stock via ODIN when I get home on my lunch break? Which stock firmware should I flash for this phone?
Thanks!
Unfortunately my lunch break brought me no good news. I downloaded stock found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714455
After I flashed all the files (Except BL) when it boots, it get's to the Samsung logo--freezes halfway through then goes blank with the blue LED light on. I waited 10 minutes just to see what it does with no luck.
Another thing I found was weird-why when I boot does it still say 'Custom' when I flashed the stock firmware?
I really hope I don't have to drop $650 on a new phone Any help would be incredibly appreciated. Thanks guys!

AT&T bootloader is locked right? Regardless I tried flashing the bootloader as a last resort and ODIN failed. Figured it just confirmed what everyone else said that it's locked.
Is there a specific way I need to flash the files? Like one at a time?
Do I need to restore factory settings/delete cache THEN flash each? or vice versa?
Am I basically screwed since I have AT&T?

FIXED!
After flashing 4.4.2 several times and trying different things, I came across this thread which finally brought my phone back to life. Thanks XDA!!!

S4 DUOS, GT-I9502, can´t finish “Odin updating” even for stock roms

Hi everyone, I´m really pissed about that issue; I´d really appreciate any help and thanks in advance to you all.
Story: I was using Sva´s rom for kitkat, everything normal, then I´ve seen Sasikas´s for lollipop and decided to try it out. I flashed the original firmware and then the custom, both via odin, used them normal as usual. For some reason, I decide to compare the new sva´s, also for lollipop and when I tried to flash, THE ISSUE BEGAN!
Issue: after doing the normal odin process, when the message “complete” shows up and the phone reboots, the bar of updating progress stop about 25% and the phone reboot to the normal mode, but only with a black screen. This is the screen I´m talking about: 3w generacionandroid.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Android_updating.jpg
What I already tried and it didn´t work:
1 – factory reset after the “boot”; I think the problem is that the “system isn´t being write” so …
2 – different roms, both custom and stock; something interesting about this is that the point of the bar that resets the phone varies according to the rom I use, just as follow:
Rom lollipop: at 25% of the bar the system restarts;
Rom kitkat: the bar jumps from 25% to the end and boots the system until Samsung logo. I noticed that the carrier logo sound is cutted in the end.
I can freely install any recovery and enter dl mode.
By the way, the bootloader file must be flashed at pda or bl in odin?
Flash the bootloader file in the BL slot.
about the bootloader...
I´ve installed a bootloader to try the new lollipop in sva´s rom, maybe because of this I can´t flash anymore? I´ve found this info about bootloaders, could someone tell me if I´m thinkg right about it?
"In literal terms, bootloader is code that is executed before any Operating System starts to run. "
This way what I need is a bootloader for kitkat or previous? Where can i find it?
cry for help
almost givin up...
so, happy new year to everyone, I´ll wait until January to check any replies, otherwise selling for parts. ='[.
Shortening: I can enter recovery and dl mode BUT not getting to install roms;
I know I fixed selinux permissions once and installed a bootloader said to be to install a version of lollipop, that´s all new stuff I did.

Unable to flash stock rom note 4 rogers with odin, please help!!!!

HI all,
So I today I messed up and I need your help :crying:. Basically here's whats going on: I decided to root my phone since I found that battery was complete garbage, so I decided to root the phone with TWRP and Odin and after flash a new kernel for my phone as well as SU. Everything went fine. However, when i tried to reboot my phone to get a custom rom i wanted, it keps telling "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" and would be stuck in a boot loop (which apparently is normal and would just need to flash a rom for it to work). Finally I just decided to boot factory, so I can get to my files and put that damn custom rom. Long story short, I was able to put it, wiped system in TWRP and flashed this new rom only to get another error "THis package is for device trltetmo, this device is trltexx". Now I couldnt even factory reset anymore. At this point I decided to flash my back up that I did before and yet ANOTHER problem "cannot restore system mounted read only". After couple of hours of research, I needed to change the name of the file to system.image.mbn i think, I changed a file called system.ext --> system.image.ext. Needless to say that it didnt work. Final thing I decided to do is simply to flash a stock rom with odin and reverse the root, so I downloaded a stock rom for note 4, started the whole process with odin and now it is stuck at system.img.ext4....and i have no clue what to do, I dont know even know what I did before is the problem or it is something else, all i know is that odin is stuck at that message. Should I just let it go, should I stop it? Help! please
Wow, true hardship you get it back running?
Try using Kies and doing firmware upgrade mode to see if it can download and load the stock firmware for that device.

Tracfone SM-S902L: Bad ROM flashes, need to recover stock ROM

Hello all,
I recently discovered that my S5 was only running KitKat despite Marshmallow having been released for it. I checked for OTA updates and it found nothing, so I decided to flash a custom 6.0 ROM onto it (and for some reason I ended up deciding not to make a backup of the phone beforehand, the ultimate mistake).
The problem became that it didn't recognize Tracfone for my service provider and wouldn't connect to the mobile network. I then downgraded it to a 5.0 ROM, and it no longer even recognized the SIM card, saying there was none.
So I tried to flash the original stock ROM a few times, but every time either got errors from ODIN, the phone itself, or the TWRP bootloader.
Long story short, I seem to have screwed up multiple times trying to install a ROM to get around KitKat and now my phone appears to be softbricked. I can get into the TWRP menu and the "download" mode, but when trying to start the phone, it sits on the "Samsung Galaxy S5" screen with the "Set Warrenty Bit : kernel" text at the top left.
I'm just wondering if there's a way to fix it at this point, or if I've completely trashed the phone.
If anybody has suggestions or experience with this, all help is welcome!
Thanks!

Are you sure you have the stock firmware for the 902l and not the 903vl? The reason you didn't get the update for 6.0 is you have the 902l model. If you had the 903vl model you'd have 6.0. Straight talk never released it for the 902l model. No idea why being both models are very similar. Im not sure but if you make it back to stock on kitkat. I think you can use safestrap from the Verizon s5 to use some custom roms that run kitkat. If your bootloader is in fact unlocked and you can install a custom recovery other then safestrap. I believe you can install pretty much anything but I'm pretty sure straight talk ships the phones with the Toshiba chip so the bootloader isn't unlockable

Samsung S5 (SM-G900F) Stock Flash caused Samsung logo screen bootloop help/advice

Hi ladies/gents,
I've just flashed my Samsung S5 (SM-G900F) with the latest UK BTU stock firmware from sammobile.com for my unlocked device (I've used SIM cards in the device in 3 different countries fine).
I reset the device into Boot mode, cleared the cache and factory reset, then boot the phone into download mode.
Using Odin I flashed the .tar.md5 file under the "AP" section of Odin with auto-reboot & F.Reset Time checked , the process was a success (according to Odin), and then when the phone restart: nothing but being stuck on the Samsung S5 boot flashing boot screen.
I've tried clearing the cache and factory resetting again, as well as installing the AP file again, to no joy.
I'm pretty dumbfounded by this as it seems this is the most straight forward and "safe" flashing to do on the device, yet now I seem to have bricked the phone in doing so.
Most of the advice I can find on the internet to fix the boot loop issue suggests doing the exact process I have just ran through, so I'm pretty close to calling it quits and looking at another brand of smartphone.
If anyone has any advice on how I can try and recovery the use of my phone, I'd be most grateful.
Thanks.
Okay guys/gals in the time it took me to feel sorry for myself and get desperate enough to create a post here the phone seems to have just turned on and working fine
I did restart the phone a bunch of times, but it seems just leaving it 20-30+ minutes does the trick.
Patience is a virtue!
Hi
I am having exactly the same issue with a G900I - tried everything!
Any advice??
