MTP sync issue - LG G6 Questions and Answers

I have a problem with synchronization over MTP when I connect mobile to the pc (LG G6, Oreo).
On the pc there are some folders/files in the different (old) locations (I can even copy files from there).
For example I made a new folder (already placed in another path) in the same place where is shown on the pc.
And then there were 2 of them with the same name (on the pc).
Does there exist any way to sync files while connect over MTP?

Non-Acer Sync Software

When I got my tab a couple months ago I tried to install the sync app.
It did not go well and I ended up restoring my PC.
I have a new PC with Windows 7, are there any programs that will sync with the tab, my droid phone, and my external hard drive ?
I currently use one of the File Managers to copy and paste files. For smaller files I use the network and for lager files, USB.
Ideally, I plug in the tab or my phone and they sync automatically.

[Q] LG-G2 (D802) on CM11-M4 - Usb Connection Lost Between File Transfer

Hello,
since i install CM11-M4 (before i have original Rom from LG installed) the USB to my Win7 PC lost while i copy .mp3 files onto the LG-G2 after 5-10 files. After disconnect and reconnect the USB connection i can copy again 5 to 10 files and then the connection lost / freeze again. Windows "says" it is not able to copy the file and abort.
The Problem also happens as .jpg files. But what i observe is, that the connection is only lost, if i transfered files are bigger then ~4MB. If i use ~2MB files the problem not occure
In USB setting of the LG the "MTB" is enabled,
Is this a know problem and is therfore a solution ?
Thx for help !
Best regards

Hi,
I make on more observation.
If i copy the files one by one, then i can copy infinite files. So thats hard, if you want to copy a few albums to the phone . But if i try to copy more then 10 files in one procedure, then the USB connection hangs.
The same probleme occures on a second PC with Windows 8.

I have the same issue here, I don't know how to fix it, I'm running last cm11, from 0324
win7 or win8.1, same issue
Try putting all your music in one folder and copying them like that. If that doesnt work then upgrade your drivers

Files being skipped when copying to computer

I have a Sprint G2 (LS980), and when I connect it via USB to a Windows 7 computer and try to copy files from it to the computer, many folders/files are skipped and the copy dialog disappears as if the copy finished successfully.
I've tried on two different Windows 7 computers with different USB cables.
Does anybody know how to fix this?

ZTE Nubia Z17 USB connection problems & MyPhoneExplorer

Hi,
I just received the Z17. It looks well but I had many problems with the USB connection.
I use the connection too with my Jiayu S3Adv.
On that phone, I can read all the contents of the phone (SD Card and Internal mémory)
On the Nubia, I can read nothing into the windows 8.1 file explorer.
I just have (under My Computer main part) an icon named NX563J.
If I open this "drive" (or device), I just have a disk named "Shared internal space" (Espace de stockage interne partagé) (Sorry, I'm French, nobody is perfect, my English too ) with no files and one or two directories (log for example)
In order to have a "complete view", I had to change into Developper Option the default parameter "Charging" to "MTP"
Right, I can access the full contents of the phone...
I seems not activated by default.
Do you have the same problem ?
I use MyPhoneExplorer to synchronize data between my PC and mu phone. It works perfectly with the Jiayu.
I can't connect the Nubia to that application.
I'll have a new try with the "new MTP parameter" activated.
Thanks
Complement :
Each time I shutdownower off the phone and the computer, I need to reinstall the drivers...
Otherwise I can't access the phone contents.
I'm thinking to return the phone
May be I found one solution (or problem)
My computer (Lenovo Carbon X1 gen 3) is supporting "only" USB 3.0 specifications.
USB-C connection (I'm not speaking about the connector) need USB 3.1 and over specifications (thunderbolt).
So despite my device is recognized, it seams MyPhoneExplorer can't connect via USB-C protocol.
I had a small try with a connection via bluetooth, it seems to work.
But I can't see the phone contents when the phone is connected via USB.
Microsoft says USB-C connections are not supported by the windows OS under windows 10 (7, 8, 8.1)...
i have the same problem

Click to collapse
The problem is the USB C connections I have a surface and It does not recognize the USB connection due to driver error, I try to find a way with no solution, have anyone of you tried to root the phone successfully?
Ok, it works... sometimes with W8.1 x64.
In your configuration panel, open the item "Device Manager" (sorry, I've the French Version only)
In the menu "View" (Affichage, the last menu item on your right before ?) clic on Show Hidden devices
On the "Unknown device" Clic on Properties (Propriétés)
Tab Driver => Update the driver
Find a driver on my computer
Choose in a driver list on my computer
Choose USB Device and choose USB MTP or something similar.
Clic on Next. The driver will be installed
In your file manager, you can now see your phone.
If you have more than one phone, may be you have to do that each time you connect an other phone on your computer
Hope this helps you
Add-on :
Download the latest (ZTE) usb drivers. You'll find them here on XDA

Connect S10+ to Linux

I 've been trying to connect my new S10+ by USB to my Ubuntu (Linux) laptop to transfer some files. After connecting, ensuring MTP file transfer is the selected USB option, and allowing the connection, I cannot browse the phone's file system or transfer any files from my laptop. I also sometimes see an error that the MTP process has died.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Any solutions?
