Google now phone search not working anymore.

it may be a long shot, but does anyone have any problems with Google now phone search? I can't find applications through it anymore, suddenly it stopped working... any ideas?

just did it. result: now it finds contacts and music, but not apps (for which i would mainly use this feature).

Search for that app and go to the phone tab by scrolling the bar below the page.
I use Google Now to also find apps quickly has well.

oh, okay, now i get it.
but no results either.
and what i had working when clean installed the rom was that while i was typing the name of the app (for example if i wanted to find the authenticator app, and just typed auth) the results of the phone search already came up. now theyre nowhere to be seen.

i dont have that option this is getting really strange.
i took a screenshot to show you what i mean:

On my side it shows Disable because I dirty flashed to the latest version.
What does it say on yours?

i dirty flashed too, so i only have the option 'disable' too, just like you.

cm10.2 nightly. im currently on 20130819 but i had this problem on previous cm10.2 and also cm10.1 nightlies and stable.
and gapps is from goo.im/gapps, the one for 4.3.

flashed it, and google now disappeared. it is not included in the package
anyways i installed it from play store again, and now i find apps. lets see if this time it stays this way forever, or it breaks again in a few days.

Seems fine to me. I don`t have many widgets and most of my app icons are on the dock.

I didn't mean air gesture. I mean the new feature of s pen, where you press the button on the s pen and it will show like a half circle menu.

It won't work in the same way as the TW launcher but it's a stand alone app so just assign a gesture to open it, eg swiping up.

Thankfully it's not baked in - although I use it quite a bit.
The only things I've noticed that you can't use with third party launcher are a couple of Samsung widgets (S-Planner monthly view and the home screen clock/weather widget).

Flipbord is better because you are able to select specific news sources, plus your point about synchronising across devices.
My magazine has three sections: News, Personal and Social. In terms of news you can only select categories. Edit....It does flip like flipboard so may be based on their services.

Would be nice! I believe it's just a white light.

I'm using Light Manager from the Play Store which seems to work very well in customizing each notification for me.

Just tried it. What version of the app and phone are you using? What other setting? Root, direct, etc.
I tried and it doesn't control anything but the front LED.

I think our issue is with the verizon variant. I have a VS980 as well with no luck.

I have a Verizon G2 and can confirm Lightflow Pro will control the rear LED however it just stays on solid and no options to make it flash or pulse. You must keep everything enabled in the default settings and then enable it via Lightflow.

I tried MultiWindow sidebar... But it's too buggy and doesn't even close... Floatification app doesn't always work and the icon no matter what won't increase in size. Some apps then open in Floating window even when no other app is open.
Have you tried gravity box?

MultiWindow has nothing to do with Floating Mode. BTW, Floatifications never missed one event here. Did you activate the settings for your desired apps in settings of Floating Notifications?
Gravity Box has to many overlapping parts to ViperOne for me.

Doze control settings for Marshmallow

Hey guys. Doze is the most important future of Marshmallow and as soon as Marshmallow features released you already got that it's the most important feature.
I know people wonder and ask how do I control Doze settings so I open this thread to inform you guys that you can control Doze settings.
First of all one of the biggest developers Francisco Franco released on Play Store which is here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.doze&rdid=com.franco.doze Naptime app. It allows you to control Doze settings by parameters. Normally Doze actives itself after sometime phone is not moving by checking proximity and other sensors, it means that you turn off the screen it doesn't active itself immediately. With this app you can choose aggressive mode to put your device into Doze immediately. Go and download it. It requires root access.
Also there is Doze Settings Editor on xda but it force closes for our G3 for now. I'm sure it'll be fixed soon. http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/root-doze-settings-editor-android-t3235130
Greenify 2.8.beta 8 also has aggressive Doze option.
I hope this will help you guys. I believe aggressive Doze option will help save a lot of battery.

Thanks for this Topic ! Already tried default doze Settings....When i went to sleep.. 45 % battery...After i woke up 44 % this is crazy.

Any ine have some laggy when you open camera and move the phone in any direction the screen get a little lag !

What would be the ideal settings to have the best performance of doze.

aggresive stops anything...even titanium back or in my case apps unistaller as soon as the screen is off

Yes. Aggressive mod is do the all job. It's awesome. It turns Doze on as soon as screen turns off. I can easily reach 6 hours SOT

You can still receive notifications. I get notifications in Facebook messenger while phone in Agressive mode.

Looks great app and the dev its perfect. Thnx for the post its very helpful. I will try it now. I have some questions. The aggressive mode wake up calls, sms, viber without problem right? The other option its good to stay to default values if aggresive mode is on? or need something to change to this values. Because no have experiece with doze for a time. thnx.

is there anyway that i can use this app w/o root access? im on 6.0 v30b stock...

I just installed this app.
Anyone noticed, when you set "aggressive" mode, there's a little glitch while listening music via PowerAmp or Joox apps?
Or it just me?

You don't need to change any settings and you'll get call messages and other notifications in social network apps.

It needs root to work. You can't use it without root.

I didn't use your apps but if you have problem with those apps while phone idle try to put them into whitelist in phone's settings battery options. There is menu for Doze to put apps in whitelist so they can work normally while phone in idle.

Go to setting, battery, battery optimize. Go to the apps list select all apps, search for Facebook+messenger, click them and select don't optimize for both.

Yes, that's the only way how to modifies. It won't work without root because it can't access system.
