I have 4 Gmail accounts in my Gmail App and I would like to customize each account having a different notification tone. The problem is I cannot find any place that I can customize the notification tone. Please help.

Is there a way of having a different tone for a new SMS and a different tone for a new Email recieved?
At the moment, all notifications sound the same, so you cannot distiguish between new email, sms etc, without looking at the phone.

Go to the relevant app e.g. gmail and then click menu and then change the notification sound to whatever you want...
You can set the sms sound in the sms settings, not for emails though so I guess emails use the default notification sound.
In Gmail menu > more > select ringtone
and you can change what appears in the list by creating folders for the notifications, then moving the sounds there
Problem with the phone is you can't have different tones for different people which is annoying.
You can have different ringtones for different contacts....
Hey guys, i don't like have one notification noise for ALL my notifications. now i can't tell the difference between emails, sms etc. i looked under settings but it only allows you to set one sound over all. is there any way to get individual sounds for individual events?
Each one of those have a settings tab. You can change them idependently. IE: Open Messages and go to settings, Notifications and change it. Same with gmail and exchange.
I receive the same email notifications for the same email in my status bar one blue gmail the other black I am supposing it is from the device I would love to get rid of the black one don't need to be notified twice

You have 2 applications giving notifications (my guess on them would be gmail and LED me know). To get rid of the black one, just turn off notifications in Gmail.

only gmail notifications just affects gmail I went to just plain ol mail and disabled thanks for bringing me to my senses
Is there a way to set custom notifications for individual contacts in Hangouts? If there is not a setting in the Hangout app is there another app that will let you customize the just the sound part of the sms/mms notification that will work with Hangouts?
How to set the notification tones for mail and mugs app...it's set to the default factory settings where in it only vibrates when a mail is received...even for mags am unable to change the notification tone an somebody in this forum help me with this issue???

Do this :
Go to settings -> search for default notification sound and change that .
this should do it.
