So I tried moving to Havoc 2.0, so I flashed the TWRP from @Oki and everything went nice and smooth installed Havoc, got internal problem error, but then when I was in the system I noticed that my internal storage is only 8GB so I checked in TWRP and yes the internal storage has only 400MB free and even TWRP can't do a thing with it the only thing that detects is the TREBLE PARTY.
Any idea how to fix this?

Had the exact same problem when trying to install Axon 7. Sorry but I never found a solution so I went back to AEX V6 PIE. I hope you find a solution cuz this seemed to be a problem quite a few people have had especially with the Havoc ROM.

ok so i did the command in the shell and i got /system/sd/apps which is good.
However everytime i install a app my internal memory decreases... My exact process is Wipe Factory wipe cache wipe ext partion... Then i create partion and convert 2 to 3.. I then flash 2.0d ..install a app ..internal memory decreases....WTF!
You shouldn't have converted the ext2 partition to ext3, as ext3 is a journaling FS.
Anyway, the internal storage is still used for /data/dalvik-cache, /data/data, and others. Only /data/app and /data/app-private are moved onto the SD card. It's normal for internal storage to go down after installing apps with Apps2SD.
i just installed sprint nav and went from 101mb to 93...thats right? Avaliabe space doesnt decrease at all!!
And i read on geekfor.me that your suppose to convert 2 to 3
I had to flash darktremors app2sd 2.5 for mine to work properly

+1 Danokan
also Mickdubs, .... ext 3 is more stable than ext 2 (less probability of lose of data) so you actually did do the right thing by converting it
is there any where in the process were im going wrong.
im using a a data class 6 turbo seris...8gb....
This is bothering me i already wiped twice now ..and im installing back all my apps and losing space..down to 50 mb right now
Did you do the test to make sure your a2sd is enabled properly?

your a2sd is working but installing a2sd 2.5 is the only way you will not see significant memory drop on your phone. everything except cache will be stored on your sd by flashing this zip
trust me, I went through the same thing as you til I read up and found this fix
so just flash as zip and be on the way..i apperciate all these quick replys ..xda comminity is strong!

Try following the below steps as per smaw51 recommendations :
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
mounts and storage/ format /data
mounts and storage/ format /system
mounts and storage/ format /cache
advanced/ wipe dalvik cache
Repeat a couple times for good measure
I have already tried those steps as I found them online and it does nothing, I always have to delete everything and then return to stock ... I just don't get it >

Oops accidentally thanked you for this post.
Anyways, I have found that wiping data from recovery doesn't clear download files and such. Download Astro File manager and see what is taking up most of your internal memory. I found personally that .zip files and a few things like that were taking up oodles of storage space. Also, when yuo do a CWM backup, do the backup to the External SD card, that way it doesn't take up app space.

like 7gb? and external is 4gb because i have a partition, but the partition in my case is irrelevant because before when I didn't know about link2sd I still had this problem, but everyone else seems to flash roms daily with no issues lol?

I believe reading this thread and taking a few tips has fixed everything!

I strongly suggest you flash a stock rom using Odin and clear everything. If you still have problems with the stock rom on your tablet return it for warranty repair. My feeling is though it is something you are doing. So once back to stock (out of the box) reinstall apps one at a time - avoid apps to sd and installing them on external memory. I don't believe that can be necessary!
Hey all, I have a strange issue, tried all the obvious solutions, cleared caches, data, haven't wiped dalvik yet but eh. Got a storage space almost full error the other day so I linked some unlinked apps to the SD card, cleared cached data, moved images and downloads to folders in SD card and deleted what I didn't need and voila, problem solved, I cleared like 3 GB. I even tapped "Other", clicked "Explore", sorted that by size and delete files from the biggest folder (RAR files in downloads).
Idk if the image uploaded but here's a breakdown of my internal storage as it is right now:
-5.83 GB Used of 9.47 GB
-Apps 5.79 GB
-Images 30.71 MB
-Videos 20.00 KB
-Audio 224 KB
-Other 548 MB
-Cached Data 68.16 MB
NOW if you add all that up you get roughly 6.45 GB, which leaves like 616 MB just floating around. When i went into other and saw those RAR files, they totaled up to like 500-something MB and when I deleted it I noticed it fell off of the "Total Used" counter, but remained in "Other" counter.
Is there a way to reset the "Other" counter? The space is there I THINK, just seeing it there is kinda annoying. Wat Do?
By formatting the internal storage maybe.
You won't lose apps, as those are kept on a different partition.
The only things you will lose are the files on the internal storage and maybe some app settings (for apps that store data there).
TWRP also stores its settings there, so next time it boots it will be like you just flashed the recovery.

I've never used link2sd.
But for the rest it's a big fat no.
Formatting the internal storage is exactly the same as formatting the microSD card.
I do recommend formatting it once in a while.
I usually do it at every ROM update.

I'll do it tonight at work, I just cleared data from the unrar app I used for the rar files I had and that freed up about 100mb from the "Other" counter, didn't do anything for the total storage though
@GDReaper Wiping internal storage worked for me, even freed up more space than just the "Other". gr8 m8, I r8 8/8 Thank you!!!
So I downloaded an update for Vemon Rom and went to flash it, I could remember the password I made for TWRP so I restarted my phone and ignored it, But the data on the phone got corrupted, I serarch online to see how to fix it and I saw Formating the userdata helps. So I did but now the phone is back to stock. I made a TWRP backup about a week before the update and now I can't find it no matter where I look, My SD card is merged with the phone memory, not sure if this info helped or am I boned and have to start completely fresh again?

I'm not up to date on SD-Card merged. But formatting userdata wipes internal storage, so it's possible your sd-card got wiped on the process as well.

Formatting userdata is formatting the internal storage. If you had the Micro SD card added as adoptable storage, then your internal storage and Micro SD card can't be separated - what you do to one affects the other. So unless I'm misunderstanding something, all your storage got formatted.
Wiping doesn't erase your internal storage, but wiping alone wouldn't have solved your problem.

Sounds like your internal storage is encrypted and you see cryptic named folders that are empty. You can check the "decrypt data"

After flashing twrp you need to flash magisk or a custom kernel so the twrp won't be restored to stock recovery. Seems like you missed some steps on the instructions to root your device.

If you format internal storage it's nothing shown for sure, that's the purpose of format. After that you can install lineageos along with gapps from USB otg for example.
For DECRYPT data you should not format unless you backed up all to your pc!

Ok, I found the solution.
Format and change file system of the SD card inside the twrp, after that mount it in PC, restore the files, and it will be ok.
