My pattern lock has changed after giving Package Disabler Pro app owner app permission via ADB. For anyone who is savvy with ADB command prompts is there any way to query the pattern to unlock my phone or reset it via the ADB? My phone is in debugging mode and linked up to my computer so hopefully, that gets me some more options.. Otherwise, it says my phone will be erased after 3 more attempts and I really need to save my pictures from my phone!! All started after rebooting after giving Package Disable Pro owner app permission via ADB. I just wanted to get rid of some bloatware. This is what I did... packagedisabler DOT com/owner-app/
Really hope someone can help I am freaking out!

I'm locked out of my S5 and the only way to unlock it seems to be by alternate password, which I don't remember.
Google Android Manager will no longer allow you to reset the lock screen password, there are no other options listed, and it seems that my phone will undergo a factory reset about 10 failed attempts at guessing the password. I have one guess left.
Is there any way to save the data on my phone before the factory reset, or a way to bypass it completely?
The phone is not rooted at all, and I'm unsure as to the specific software version, as I can't look to see.
I think you can boot into recovery and maybe backup your files
Sent from my SM-G900V using XDA Free mobile app
How so?
I'm in recovery mode now.. I don't have any CWM or anything like that, and I don't see any options.
Maybe I should try to apply the recent update and see if that resets everything?
Updated to the latest version.
Doesn't look like that helped anything.
Still locked, and I don't want to try another password incase I'm still on my last try.
I can set up the ADB while in recovery mode... Can I backup via the ADB in recovery mode?
When I use adb devices, my device comes up as "sideload" rather than device? Why?
Hi there,
Friend of mine using Lenovo A6000+, Doesn't have google account in that phone. It was secured with the pattern lock. But unfortunately he forgot the unlock pattern. Since he have a lot of contacts in that phone, there is no way to reset it. Its full stock version. Just a basic user., so no root access or anything. In this scenario any other way to unlock the phone without doing a factory reset? The google answers are helpful only if the usb debugging is enabled. Since it is not rooted and basically a very common user used that phone, i don't think usb debugging is enabled. Any help appreciated.
By the way, i'm also thinking of flashing a custom recovery into the phone. Will that be of any help? Would it cause the phone to lose data? Will that need usb debugging enabled to do it?

I dont think, there's anything you can do about it. Ask him first, if he had ever connected to pc and authorized it for usb debugging. Otherwise, the only option left is to factory reset.
Edit: Brother, I'm working on something to change the pattern, which obviously I'll tell you. I'll make a flashable zip which you can flash through twrp. Lets see how this goes.
I'm not sure, if I'll be able to do it. But if it does, it would be very helpful for everyone.
:silly:
Edit 2: Finally I got it working!!! hurray!!
Just flash this zip below and the next time your phone boots, you can enter any "more than 3-dot" pattern and the phone will accept. Later, you can set new pattern or anything.
 :silly:
P.S. I used CWM recovery on stock KK to flash it. Don't know why but I couldn't manage to flash twrp. Who cares anyway, if our job gets done. :silly:
i have stock lenovo zuk z1 bought from amazon.com
i was using fingerprint but due to work i changed it to pattern and later on forgot it. i then discovered that gmail sign-in option is unavail in android 5.1x
i cant afford to loose app data and also have no drive backup.
*also it doesnt support sdcard so i couldnt try "aroma file manager trick".
*USB debugging is turned on in devlepoer mode but due to some reason in cmd adb devices it shows in list of avail devices but says unauthorised - so i cant modify/delete gesture.key also..
*android device manager is a peice of ****. can only ****ing lock and erase. doesnt understand unlocking for its own owners. **** google for this. bull**** way to secure data.
its very frustrating and annoying even after trying and researching so hard i couldnt figure it out..
is there really a way to unlock the phone without loosing data ?
My Phone is Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 Android 7.0
I need to remove my pattern screen lock which I have forgotten, but the adb command "adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key" returns that there is no such file or directory. I can't factory reset my phone, I need my data! I can access the phone using the fingerprint, but cant remove the pattern because it asks me for the old pattern which I cant remember!
okay so I restarted my phone and now it won't even let me use my finger print!!! I am so tired of this ridiculousness.
Issue resolved
Okay nevermind, I contacted Samsung support, and used the "Find My Device" page in their website to remotely unlock my phone using my samsung account. I just wish I knew there was such a thing sooner so I wouldn't have had to waste so much time. I was really desperate that's why I make a thread here, didn't mean to bother you guys for no reason.
Close thread please
CLOSE THE THREAD PLEASE. I thought I could do that myself since I had created it, but I guess I can't.
My grandma gave me her old tablet to fix that had a bad charging port. A year later turns out it was a bad cable, tablets fine. She doesn't remember the password to her tablet, I literally have the owner my gmas permission to do anything necessary to get into the files for her ebooks pics etc.
The problem is, I can't connect to WiFi and guess the password wrong, to ask Google account to reset password, and I really don't wanna get aircrack-ng and start sniffing and make a fake AP just to legally and regularly query Google for a Google account tablet password reset. I've reset passwords on my devices on MY account before, but I've had access to SIM or WiFi, now I don't. I also had access to the account, not having to walk someone else though it for their security. I'm sure it's still on her account, not sure how it's gonna help if I can't get it online.
Can I unlock bootloader without ADB debugging enabled? Will unlocking bootloader wipe her pics and ebooks? Can I bypass the pattern lock somehow even temporarily for file manager access?
Please help, thanks.

I think you could backup data to PC with ADB!
