Anyone getting the "Can't Reach Google at the Moment" error when attempting a voice reply in the stock messing app? (or any other app, ftm)
I've seen it in just about every Wear iteration... (Currently Wear 2.1)

I get the same message from the last wear update 2.17 ... If I open wear app on phone and try , it works . It was perfctly working before the update. Seems like the wear app gets optomized from running in background even if you manually put it in the unoptimized list
The last wear update is great, my watch now feels 10 times faster ( old lg g watch with the 2.0 ported rom)

No disconnected icons of any sort.
Nexus 6 pie Nitrogen os
LG g Watch 2.0 ported rom
Also had this problem in nougat but after some days it solved by itself

There is your problem.
2 things you can try.
1. UN optimize the app. This may take a couple tries. Going I'm and out of that section to make it stick.
2. Open Android wear all. And pin it open in recent so it never closes.
I had good luck with option 1
Oneplus has done something to optimization that messed with Android wear app. Had this issue with my op5t and did the above and it worked till I moved to a custom Rom
Amusing.
2 years later and i am in the same boat with Huawei P30Pro MIUI11.
What makes my situation different - i have two watches paired to the same phone and one of them is working perfectly FINE.

Hi all!
I recently received my Z2 Pro (128gb) from Coolicool the other day and I though I would let you know of my experience.
It came with the 'international firmware' on it preventing the use of OTA and Uhealth so like many others I proceeded to flash it with stock Chinese firmware.
Following this guide - ahh...as a new user it seems I can't yet post links. But I would like to thank m_atze for his time in writing it!
METHOD 2!!
At first I kept getting saraha errors but moving the firmware to a short folder on my laptops main drive solved this error (ie. c:\\zuk\.....)
Flashing went ahead without a single problem
Changed the language to english and proceeded to uninstall chinese apps and install the ones I wanted.
There was then the latest OTA which didn't require a VPN
Other than there being a few mis-translations the phone seems very fast and stable (I am coming from a Galaxy S4)
A day of standard use from me left me with over 50% battery compared to the <10% I would have from the i9505
Overall very happy with my purchase and looking forward to an official full english android 7 firmware release!
I do seem to be having issues with push notifications and widget updates. I'm sure that will be fixed soon enough.

I have now! Makes sense that this should solve the problem. Gimmie the day and I will let you know. Cheers
kinda works better now. Chrome seems to force close after opening, only once though and then it works fine.
Google just released the first Android O Developer Preview! For real, though, it’s here!
Android O will introduce new features by way of background limits on apps (think battery life boost), notification channels (more control over notifications), picture-in-picture, adaptive icons, autofill in apps, and more. Full details on what’s new can be found here.
The new version of Android will run through four preview versions, with preview 2 hitting in mid-May, preview 3 in mid-June, preview 4 likely some time in August, and then the final release in Q3. It’s a similar schedule to last year’s Android N preview program.
The first Android O Developer Preview is available for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Nexus Player.
You can download the Preview 1 images right here. Instructions on how to flash a factory image can be found here. Android O is now a part of the Android Beta at this time because it’s a hella-early developer build that probably isn’t all that stable.

Ive been running it since it was released and havent had any problems so i would say it stable
Flashed my pixel c, very stable until my touch screen went bad...
Coincidence , absolutely not, flashed 7.1.1 and still had the touchscreen issues. Screen goes black every time i touch the screen with my palm or more than 4 fingers on the screen at the same time.
Google has sent me a replacement device Will test again with the new device.
I'm running O-preview since release, for me it is NOT 100% stable, but is doing a decent job.
What does this mean? -> ~ 1-2 reboots a day and spotted a graphics glitch (only 1x).
Not much trouble here, but I use mine as a test device so really haven't put it through its paces. If I were actually using it to do work/play I'd stay on Nougat unless there were a specific O-feature I required.
Desperate for root access, need to get apps tested with O+root, and would prefer not to buy yet another device (5x/6p) to do it.
i wonder if chainfires O dev test superSU includes the pixel C as included devices?
is there now an hdmi out support added via usb-c?
Anyone with a mouse tried to use the built-in file manager? On all 7.x versions the mouse cursor only selects (as if long clicked) files & folders, it cannot open them. Quite annoying, believe it or not...

thanks for the info.
one thing i've noticed is it seems that my O preview is rebooting at times. i can tell because when i pick it up i see the android beta program notice that seems to tacked onto the O boot. i've read that google has said it isn't in the beta program yet so not sure why i get that notice. the reboot issue is the first time for me that the device has exhibited spontaneous reboots but i guess it could be any number of things from apps that are not tuned to O yet to something in O preview itself. otherwise , it is running well with the apps i've used to this point running well.
edit: i have noticed since i posted the above message that trying to uninstall apps that had been installed while using android N causes a lock-up and never finish properly however the apps are no longer listed as being installed. i'm curious if anyone else experiences this behavior.

What about a factory reset, does it help?
Does anyone have any clue when Android 7 will land on the Zoom? It's kinda silly that it didn't launch with it to begin with. But the year older Zenfone's have since received Android 7 and we're still waiting ..
Already launched. Updated today.

Anyone attempt to do this with bootloader unlocked and with TWRP? I'm assuming I'm going to have to attempt to flash back to stock recovery to do this.

I just downloaded the update, I'm gonna leave it charging and updating. :fingers-crossed:
Just updated mine.
Main noticable things are:
- the new notification interface,
- the quick links page allows more icons and has better design, and
- Portrait mode on the camera.
What else called your attention?
Did a factory reset after install. Thought Asus cleaned up pretty well on Nougat for Zenfone 3 but the 3 Zoom's Nougat strips away almost everything. Apps could only get clearer if they replace Memo with Google Keep and not preload Duo.
I think there is more wall papers in wall paper slideshow.
Nougat ZenUI is much better than Marshmallow was.
Greatly appreciate the update. Yes, the UI is still terrible color and design, but Nougat makes this feel tolerable. Especially the ability to remove sooooo much bloat. Glad that I could finally get Google Phone dialer installed and working without the ASUS Call screen. Now if I could set long hold back button to kill I'd be quite happy.
Can you guys get me ota link ?
Use Android Terminal to Run this command
cat /data/data/com.asus.dm/files/tree.xml
Then upload tree.xml from your sdcard
Thanks

Interesting I'm still unable to install Google Phone (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.dialer), stuck with ASUS's app.
Another one that bothers me is the Contacts app. I'm used to Google's stock and I find ASUS option way worse.
Ideas anyone?
I'm using google phone app on mine.
Download the Contacts APK from APKMirror.
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-contacts/
My camera app stopped working after the update :\ Even tried resetting it. Other camera apps work fine. Asus support says to reset my phone and otherwise send it in (for a software issue?!). I guess I'll be resetting, but this is the second time support told me to send in the device for a software issue. Can't say I'm impressed.

My Huawei watch suddenly rebooted itself and I was wondering what on earth happened. Then I went to settings and noticed the OS was updated to Android Wear 2.5.0.172604017.
Anybody else having this, and which device?
Does anybody know any change logs?

My build number is N7G75S and my Android Wear version is the same as yours, but I haven't had an update since getting 2.0. My security patch level is April, but some people have been getting the October security update. I don't know if that changes the version number or not.
yeah got 2.5 too on my zenwatch...android wear is a joke....a really bad one
I got 2.5 on my Watch Urbane 1G.
I bought yesterday my 1st smartwatch Fossil Q Explorist 3. After turning on it rebooted often and now I'm also on 2.5.0.172604017

I see that my zenwatch 3 also has android wear 2.5 but
I did not get any updates for it since October 18th.
The last time android wear was updated was Oct.18
The strange thing is that even though my watch has
the 2.5 version installed my S7 Edge phone still has
the 2.0 version installed.
I downloaded the Android Wear 2.5 apk from apk
mirror but it would not install in my phone.
It errors out saying "There was a problem parsing the package".
I tried downloading the 2.5 version from two other sources on
the internet but both had the same error results.
Has anyone checked their Android Wear version which is
installed in the phone to see if anyone has version 2.5
installed in the phone?
Thanks, have a great day!

its 2.0 for me too, are they both always the same?

That's what I was wondering too, the 2.0 Android Wear at the playstore
does have a "what's new" information like all the playstore apps have
but it does not mention anything about android wear 2.5 at all.
I cannot think of any reason why there is a different version in the watch
but not in the phone.
Even when I google searched the web I found only two or three
links which had anything to do with android wear 2.5 and had
hardly any useful information about it and none of the sites even
mentioned anything as to why there are different versions on the
phone and on the watch.
.
Good luck, have a great day!

If you are talking about notifications, they must be enabled on Android Wear app on the phone.
I have no problems at all with Android Wear 2.6 on both watch and phone.
Yesterday I noticed that notifications did not show on the watch (Huawei). So I unpaired the watch and cleared data and cache from both Google Play Services and Android Wear. After that everything OK again.
My version on the Huawei Watch2 shows 2.6.0.176354550 Dated august security patch on 7.1.1
Just got an update on my Ticwatch S to Wear 2.7.0.178645119. not experiencing any obvious changes yet.

Quite frequent updates lately. Sad that no updates to Oreo scheduled, though.
Hi,
My q6 is running on Android 7.1 with Nova prime..
I usually dismiss unimportant notification right from notification list. However they come back about 10 mins after unless I go into the app and view them myself. This is very common with messaging and Gmail app. The Outlook and other third party apps seems to be less affected in this way...
Please help

Hi,
Am located in India and it indeed runs on Android 7.1.1 with December security patch.. but the issue that I highlighted is not something new.
My friend has a G6 on Android 7.0 and he is not having this problem.
He Has Q6... not G6... and the q6 runs 7.1
