My Huawei watch suddenly rebooted itself and I was wondering what on earth happened. Then I went to settings and noticed the OS was updated to Android Wear 2.5.0.172604017.
Anybody else having this, and which device?
Does anybody know any change logs?

My build number is N7G75S and my Android Wear version is the same as yours, but I haven't had an update since getting 2.0. My security patch level is April, but some people have been getting the October security update. I don't know if that changes the version number or not.
yeah got 2.5 too on my zenwatch...android wear is a joke....a really bad one
I got 2.5 on my Watch Urbane 1G.
I bought yesterday my 1st smartwatch Fossil Q Explorist 3. After turning on it rebooted often and now I'm also on 2.5.0.172604017

I see that my zenwatch 3 also has android wear 2.5 but
I did not get any updates for it since October 18th.
The last time android wear was updated was Oct.18
The strange thing is that even though my watch has
the 2.5 version installed my S7 Edge phone still has
the 2.0 version installed.
I downloaded the Android Wear 2.5 apk from apk
mirror but it would not install in my phone.
It errors out saying "There was a problem parsing the package".
I tried downloading the 2.5 version from two other sources on
the internet but both had the same error results.
Has anyone checked their Android Wear version which is
installed in the phone to see if anyone has version 2.5
installed in the phone?
Thanks, have a great day!

its 2.0 for me too, are they both always the same?
cause one could be 2.5 and the other 2.0
since i see no change whatsoever i assume only the watch got it

That's what I was wondering too, the 2.0 Android Wear at the playstore
does have a "what's new" information like all the playstore apps have
but it does not mention anything about android wear 2.5 at all.
I cannot think of any reason why there is a different version in the watch
but not in the phone.
Even when I google searched the web I found only two or three
links which had anything to do with android wear 2.5 and had
hardly any useful information about it and none of the sites even
mentioned anything as to why there are different versions on the
phone and on the watch.
.
Good luck, have a great day!
my Huawei watch did the shutdown update thing to 2.5 the other day. Now I'm having issues getting notifications to pass from my phone to my watch.
Is there any way to roll back to 2.0???

Same issue on my updated Moto 360 Sport. I'm pretty sure the issue was caused by the 2.5 update, sucks lol.

Please quote the message you are replying to.
If you are talking about notifications, they must be enabled on Android Wear app on the phone.
I have no problems at all with Android Wear 2.6 on both watch and phone.
Yesterday I noticed that notifications did not show on the watch (Huawei). So I unpaired the watch and cleared data and cache from both Google Play Services and Android Wear. After that everything OK again.
My version on the Huawei Watch2 shows 2.6.0.176354550 Dated august security patch on 7.1.1
Just got an update on my Ticwatch S to Wear 2.7.0.178645119. not experiencing any obvious changes yet.

I got update to 2.7 on Huawei Watch, too. The app selector has larger icons and font.
Quite frequent updates lately. Sad that no updates to Oreo scheduled, though.

Have you tried side loading the apk? I'll have to try this evening..
Hi,
I already mentioned this in another thread. I managed to sideload the apps and all fine. When starting the app it says not compatible, however I can click "OK" and it then goes to the configuration screen. This is where the problems start because I cannot connect the controller. So After these steps it is currently a dead end
Im still waiting for the daydream update to be released!
Who are we waiting for? Google or Huawei?

Trying to figure out if that version is the firmware that will make the M9Pro finally compatible with Daydream VR
Reference: Daydream VR compatible phones
Google App
Daydream VR
Also requires this:
Google VR Services
Although, if you don't have the Daydream VR headset it might or might not be hard to test out.

Hi , everyone. I have been able to install via FirmwareFinde the B181 version this weekend . DayDream is included with it , but I found some problems. I can initiate the DayDream app and pair the Google DayDream View , but the aplication ends with a stereoscopic blank screen .
I mean , it does not render the initial island scene or any other app .
I am not sure if it is a general problem or just for my phone.

I'm able to at least update the controller software now but when I try to open up Daydream it's just a black screen but I do have sounds. I can hear the birds chirping and water flowing but no picture. I can even hear sounds when I click on the buttons on the controller. The only thing that is visible is the volume bar when I raise or lower the volume with the controller....
That's it...
Yeah, same symptoms here... At least, I am not alone...

Google just released the first Android O Developer Preview! For real, though, it’s here!
Android O will introduce new features by way of background limits on apps (think battery life boost), notification channels (more control over notifications), picture-in-picture, adaptive icons, autofill in apps, and more. Full details on what’s new can be found here.
The new version of Android will run through four preview versions, with preview 2 hitting in mid-May, preview 3 in mid-June, preview 4 likely some time in August, and then the final release in Q3. It’s a similar schedule to last year’s Android N preview program.
The first Android O Developer Preview is available for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Nexus Player.
You can download the Preview 1 images right here. Instructions on how to flash a factory image can be found here. Android O is now a part of the Android Beta at this time because it’s a hella-early developer build that probably isn’t all that stable.

Ive been running it since it was released and havent had any problems so i would say it stable
Flashed my pixel c, very stable until my touch screen went bad...
Coincidence , absolutely not, flashed 7.1.1 and still had the touchscreen issues. Screen goes black every time i touch the screen with my palm or more than 4 fingers on the screen at the same time.
Google has sent me a replacement device Will test again with the new device.
I'm running O-preview since release, for me it is NOT 100% stable, but is doing a decent job.
What does this mean? -> ~ 1-2 reboots a day and spotted a graphics glitch (only 1x).
Not much trouble here, but I use mine as a test device so really haven't put it through its paces. If I were actually using it to do work/play I'd stay on Nougat unless there were a specific O-feature I required.
Desperate for root access, need to get apps tested with O+root, and would prefer not to buy yet another device (5x/6p) to do it.
i wonder if chainfires O dev test superSU includes the pixel C as included devices?
is there now an hdmi out support added via usb-c?
Anyone with a mouse tried to use the built-in file manager? On all 7.x versions the mouse cursor only selects (as if long clicked) files & folders, it cannot open them. Quite annoying, believe it or not...

thanks for the info.
one thing i've noticed is it seems that my O preview is rebooting at times. i can tell because when i pick it up i see the android beta program notice that seems to tacked onto the O boot. i've read that google has said it isn't in the beta program yet so not sure why i get that notice. the reboot issue is the first time for me that the device has exhibited spontaneous reboots but i guess it could be any number of things from apps that are not tuned to O yet to something in O preview itself. otherwise , it is running well with the apps i've used to this point running well.
edit: i have noticed since i posted the above message that trying to uninstall apps that had been installed while using android N causes a lock-up and never finish properly however the apps are no longer listed as being installed. i'm curious if anyone else experiences this behavior.

What about a factory reset, does it help?
The title says it all. Am I the only one that lost the the changelog pulldown on the update screen in the playstore? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. It was one of the best additions with true time saving functionality to the playstore IMHO. I haven't had it in some time. Deep down I was hoping that it would magically reappear.

If you mean the "recently updated" section? it is still there for me. You may want to update your Store app, the new one has "play protect" and I don't see that on your screenshot. My version (not beta) v8.1.73.S-all [0] [FP] 165518514
EDIT: just noticed in your sig you are still on 7.1.1? ha ha I also have the N7 Flo, running LOS 14.1 current weekly.
Thanks for the reply. And yes I haven't updated since i got received a new phone from huawei due to the bootloop of death.... I figured I would wait for the bugs to get worked out of oreo and start there! My playstore app is current at 8.1.73. The picture is dated but it shows the pull down dialog that I am asking about. It allows you to see the changelog without having to open up the individual app page. Please don't criticize my excellent MS paint skills.....

LOL. 8.0 is the bug fix for 7.1.2. Smooth sailing here with 8 on several devices. Did not really appreciate what you were talking about before, but then I have never pre-inspected the changelog.... just auto update everything without looking first. If one app is of interest I read the changelog as its downloading, but that's rare. If I were you I would install 8.0 and not look back.... after all why did you buy a Nexus device, if not for anything but security updates which this month in particular is very important in light of the wireless 'BlueBorne' attacks. Best of luck to you.

There is your problem.
2 things you can try.
1. UN optimize the app. This may take a couple tries. Going I'm and out of that section to make it stick.
2. Open Android wear all. And pin it open in recent so it never closes.
I had good luck with option 1
Oneplus has done something to optimization that messed with Android wear app. Had this issue with my op5t and did the above and it worked till I moved to a custom Rom
Amusing.

Hello Guys,
I'm opening this topic because i realized that after last update, Telegram was been removed from wear os playstore.
For now, it is continuing to work for who already installed it on related devices.. but not for so long, soon they will block it.
Somebody is saying this situation is not going to be fixed and probably we will not see anymore Telegram on wear os (which is really disappointed.. I bought my Galaxy Watch 4 mostly because of Telegram (50/60% usage).. what is the sense to keep it ?
Now I can not install it anymore as it was removed from playstore. There's a way to simply install last apk before the updated version? How I can install it on my Galaxy Watch 4?
Thanks in advance

That sticker problem started recently when they pulled the app from the Play Store. Seems like some service/servers are shut down already. Hopefully Telegram for Wear OS lives longer, it's one of the most useful apps on the platform.
You can install an apk on the Wear OS with the ADB:
Connect it to a pc/phone
Enable ADB debugging in watch Developers options
Set up the ADB.
Put your apk into the same folder as where your platform-tools of the ADB are.
Execute command: adb install [fileName.apk]
Thanks a lot to everybody !
I was finally able to install again Telegram on my Galaxy Watch 4 !
Hope that in the meantime, some other useful app will arrive on the PlayStore, because honestly, except sport, i find totally interesting answer with vocal messages (but not by vocal assistant, simply registering our voice) especially on applications like What's App and Telegram.
Finger crossed for the future
Keeps spinning the circle for me in an endless loop during setup
Is it still supported?
