You can use the DFU multitool from here...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/salesmultidla2017-tool-to-unblick-dfu-t3854229
There is an English version on page 4
Or check all your driver's are up to date correct your PC or laptop show show as...
Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 in the windows device manager.
If it shows DFU, use the tool in the above link.
Hope this helps

You are welcome.
You need a Edl package to finish the process using Miflash, there are some posted on here depending if you want Nougat or Oreo.

What did you do? i see many many bricks, because they follow steps mentioned by others (that are wrong)
For example they say,if you want to go back to stock you can connect to edl and just flash stock, but that is bullcrap

Ive never had a problem restoring via Edl, its been the packages that can cause problem.
I've always gone forwards with my ROMs never backwards.
Some Edls fail the hello packet (eg: the turdevs package I was using failed)
The Edl packages by Djkuz have all worked.

You can't flash hardware...
If you flash a different modem (which you totally can without even qcn) you'll just lose signal. Flashing a QCN backup would probably wipe your IMEI

I have the backup of my qcn phone.
I have already tried different QCN from other brands, but none of them works, I need to get the qcn zte axon 7 a2017g or a2017u to try.
The imei I have it annotated to restore at any time.

keep trying if you want, but it's surely that you're lacking the necessary bands. did you even check before?
Also, "different QCN from other brands"? What other brands???

There are a number of reasons why you can't get 4g, SIM card is one, band support is another.
I had to change a SIM because it was only running 3g not 4g, I wouldn't keep trying other backups in case you break your phone completely.

I'm inside the 4g coverage, the chip is 4g, I've tried it on another smartphone and if it captures 4g, the problem is the band

My axon is Chinese, it only has FDD LTE band 1,3,7
through DFS tool I have activated band 8 because it is what I need but the phone does not recognize it as LTE but as band 8 GSM and there is no signal, only 3G capture
It seems that it is impossible to activate the other bands in this zte axon 7 A2017

I tried using flash with qcn files with unlocked bands, but they were from xiaomi phones, one more, zte axon 7 mini, but it did not work for me.
How could I edit the QCN of my zte axon 7 to activate the bands?
There will be some way to edit a modem (NON-HLOS.bin). It would be excellent. Maybe it works for me.

Sorry, but you don't understand. The bands are hardware based, not software. The modem files will help the bands recognize the towers, but nothing will add extra hardware. I'm assuming you don't have Claro as your carrier? If you do have Claro I don't know why it doesn't work, but if you don't have Claro you should get an a2017u. For example:
A2017: https://www.frequencycheck.com/compatibility/Eaj5CJl/zte-axon-7-a2017-dual-sim-td-lte-64gb/peru

If in my case the blockade can be by hardware there is nothing I can do.
I understand the subject. I already tested with chips from several operators in my country, none of them recognizes 4g on my phone, even clear.
That's why I go to the experts of xda.
Bands LTE PerĂº :
Movistar : band 4 (1700/2100 MHz) Band 28 (700 MHz)
Claro : band 2 (1900 MHz) Band 28 (700 MHz)
Entel : band 4 (1700/2100 MHz) band 28 (700 MHz)
Bitel : band 8 (900 MHz) band 2 (1900 MHz)

Also, as is the case with some carriers in the United States, you may have the necessary bands but it may not be permitted on their network. They can choose which phones to allow and which to not allow.

the hardware was supported. It's a Snapdragon 410 chipset with 4G LTE world mode. it's Xiaomi who didn't add those bands into the baseband modem. I read some XDA threads about unlocking all LTE bands for Qualcomm Snapdragon chips but I couldn't understand how to add thoae NV values and how to get into the USB settings mode in my Xiaomi device. I need someone with experience to look into this and maybe make some step by steo guide for us. Its been done b4 with oneplusone, oppo, Sony, LG, Samsung phones with success so I knew it could be done.
ok i could be wrong. My friend just brought a moto x to australia and used a process or update to open up some more bands on his phone .

Oh, and as for ROMs unlocking lte bands. I would try the MIUI 5 global ROM. I haven't had a chance to test myself yet but, I would give it a shot. It's the ROM the Hong Kong version comes with out of the box.

I'm still not sure it's possible. I've searched and most people say it's hardware based and ROMs can't change it. If you're already rooted and have custom recovery, you might as well give it a shot and report back.

Same problem here. My carrier uses a LTE frequency not supported by phone. All other carriers are supported, mine is not, frustrating. Installing Mokee (or any other custom ROM, I tried them all) doesn't change a thing. I don't know about MIUI, but don't think it would work.

Enable b3 & b20 on h1511 (US Version)

Hey Guys, unfortunately
this is my first US phone i have bought, and guess what it is not compatible with my carrier LTE :/
so the people have managed to get support of the B3 & B20 bands in which the most used bands on the motot nexus 6 and lg nexcus 5....
i have tried & tried to reach out a way to connect to the QPST / QXDM
but i don't have the Diag driver or the engeneering driver
yet the radio firmware...
now since @papi92 have ben able to get band 12 and flash it to the nexus
he maybe able to help us/me with this issue!

Help me decide what to do now. [NOOB][VS980]

Hello everyone! I recently got a second-hand verizon G2 VS980. I live in India (location is relevant in my case because of this being a US only model). I had ROOT pre-installed and it stays even after factory reset. This indicates that it is NOT stock.
This phone has legit hardware, as in it has all VS980 components. I have checked it. BUT IT HAS THE IMEI OF A D800. Does this mean that i also have the bands of D800 enabled?
Now what i want to do is,
Above all i want this phone rooted and flashed to the latest and most stable ROM atm.
Second, i would like to use 4G LTE on it, here in India. I know that VS980 supports only band 4 and 13. I NEED band 3,5,40. I have trawled the internet for this specific info but to no avail. Does the VS980 has the hardware it takes to use other 4G bands? Or is it manufactured only with band 4 and 13 in mind? The only pieces of little info i came upon was this
jacob019 said:
After spending a few days hacking around with the VS980 (LG G2 Verizon Model) I wish to share some findings.
1. NV edits to the bands will only work with baseband 11A or earlier. All later radios have the NV values hardcoded into the baseband and any changes will be reverted. You can successfully edit the NV values, and they will survive reboot on baseband 11A, but as soon as you install a later baseband they will revert to stock. CM11 works well with 11A. Perhaps binary modification to later basebands would be possible.
2. LTE Band 17 does not appear to be supported by the hardware. I copied all the values from a D801. Android now reports my phone as a GSM model instead of CDMA which is nice, but it just won't connect to LTE Band 17. If I delete band 4, I can't get LTE at all, so I know the settings are having an effect.

and this. So i am confused where to start, i currently have a 26A baseband. Is it possible to enable band 3,5 and 40 on VS980?
I found the guides much confusing and complex relative to other devices i had. I am confused what to do first.
Should i flash TWRP first? or
Should i flash stock firmware?
I see that bands can be edited only on baseband 11A or earlier, so should i downgrade to that etc.
I have the phantom touches, and i read that they were gone after a specific update, so can i still get/flash that update with
a 11A baseband?
I do not understand this baseband, bootloader, exploits, and ROM compatiblity things.
I am willing to try even low level edits if someone is able to help and guide me.
Lastly, i just want my VS980 to run a good stable ROM with (if possible) 4G LTE on band 3,5 and/or 20 (India) and NO phantom touches update.
Specs: attached
Bump. Noone?
Can't anyone tell me that does the verizon model even includes hardware capability for 4G band 3,5 and 20? If this gets cleared, more than HALF of my problems will be gone.

Changing the FDD LTE Bands

Had anyone who doesnt have the Global Version tried to change the LTE Band with the Snapdragon software tools? If you haven't heard or tried this just search Unlock LTE Bands in XDA main search. Because I'm think its going to be much cheaper to by the Chinese version that is like only 343USD for 6gb of RAM and 128 ROM and unlock the bands. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Changing the bands with QPST or QXDM can be done but it has no effect on functionality.
Some software will see these bands as unlocked but the phone itself can not make use of them. You might also run into some trouble on MIUI though custom roms seem more flexible with this.
At the moment there is no way to convert a CN (band restricted) model into a Global model (no band restrictions).
Hi, somebody has any news ?
for conversion(activate ) band 20 in Xiaomi Note 2 ?
thank you
This is very important topic I think. What I find really weird that the firmware files (modem) and rom are the same no matter which version you have...
On redmi note 3, kate and kenzo have different rom and different modem files. Its really weird here.

How to unlock 4g bands for H910 in UK/Europe?

Hi there. I bought an 'unlocked' AT&T H910 LGV20 from ebay.
I thought would work in the UK as the phone hardware has compatible 4g bands that my provider (EE) uses.
The stock at&t firmware only allowed me to use 2g/Edge.
So I have flashed several other roms / kdz files using LGUP
( h910 Puerto Rico, H915 Canada, US996 unlocked US - variety of android 7 and android 8)
Some roms (particularly Android 7.0 Canada and Puerto Rico) work with 2g and 3g but there isn't even a 4G option in the base menus.
Some roms have global or allow you to select LTE/3Gpp but they don't allow me to get a 4g signal.
One even said 4g at the top but when I checked the connection in phone settings - about - it showed 3g (and this was consistent with the download speed too)
II only got videotron Canada to work. Bell and Rogers should have an overlapping 4g band but I got the CUST error on those roms.
I have tried going through service menu but all that can do is sometimes force a 3g signal from 2g
So what should I do?
1. I s there a rom with overlapping 4g bands that would work? Can I flash a HK rom onto H910?
2. Can I root the phone to unlock 4g bands?
Would this survive unrooting to allow me to access microsoft intune (for work email), banking and sports apps (which sometimes don't like root?)?
3. Would a custom rom work? Which do you recommend to keep as many features as possible eg remote control, camera, DAC?
Do they also work with microsoft intune, banking apps, sports apps etc?
I have followed a few of the posts out there but given the ebay seller I wonder if a few more people in Europe might have been tempted!
Thanks!
Hi
You need Band 20 (800) to use with EE UK and according to GSM Arena list of specs for the H910 that version of the V20 does not have it and I do not know if it can be added.

Thank you!
I was led to believe the H910 (same as H915 in Canada) supported all of EE's 4g bands.
But for sure, the carriers seem to have locked some out. But not having any luck with other roms either...
I cannot post the url but
frequencycheck . com
carrier-compatibility/wwW4hXP/lg-h910-v20-lte-a-h915/ee-everything-everywhere-united-kingdom
Compatibility - 3 out of 3 bands supported
100%
Interface Name Supported by device?
LTE B3 (1800 +) Yes
LTE B7 (2600) Yes
LTE B20 (800 DD) Yes
As I said in previous post the H910 does not support Band 20 (800) check GSM Arena site select LG V20 and then H910 and select LTE bands and you will see that Band 20 is missing. The H915 is not listed.

I have a similar issue, having bought an "unlocked" H910 and having only 2G. Is this the file name of the H915 kdz file you flashed to enable 3G: "H91510e_00_VTR_CA_OP_1205.kdz"?
Thanks.
