Cards Recent menu gone? - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

I have navigation gestures enabled. When I slide up from the bottom of the screen my Recents menu has the vertical card design, before it had the horizontal one. Any ideas how to get the other one back?

Change phone `?
It's not possible to change back. Im sorry you didn't found out this before you bought it.

It was the horizontal card menu yesterday and it switched for some reason. Just trying to figure out why it switched. I'm on elementalx rooted and unlocked.

Did you disable OnePlus launcher?

The card is baked into the launcher

Ah thanks I installed the launcher and it is back

So I got it back but the nifty gesture to quickly switch between apps is gone (swiping up and to the right to scroll between recent apps). Any ideas to get this functionality back?

Getting back the dock drawer icon

Running cyanogen 6.1.1... Accidentally dragged an icon over the awd dock and replaced the drawer toggle. I've had to set a swipe gesture to get to the drawer. Does anyone know how to get that icon back? I've looked everywhere... I've tried resetting the dock, but the dock icons don't reset.

create a custom shortcut
>>launcher actions
>>open/close app drawer
and drag/drop
should do the trick
Ah,that worked. I tried doing a launcher before, but not a custom launcher. Thanks.

I did the same mistake. lol...
Always used to having the Delete bar at the bottom.
Well, it was even worse cause CM6.1 doesn't support Nordic Desire Z keyboard + softkeys, so I had no way to get to preferences and set up a swipe either. xD
I wish I'd seen this before I reset my settings to stock, just to get that launcher button back...
Happened two times to me; old habit of having the trash bin at the bottom.

[Q] Best solution to remove bottom bar?

I am totally new to all of this so what I need is the simplest and safest way to remove the bottom bar? I know I need to root the device so I am looking for the simplest way. Also I am looking for a gesture app that when I swipe from the bottom of the screen up it brings up the bottom bar. What I don't want is any upward swipe to bring up the bottom. If anyone has used BB tablet that is exactly what I am looking for.
This has been covered before.
Use LMT.apk for gestures or pie. Use fullscreentoggle.apk to remove the navbar.

Rooted my device and installed full screen toggle but it isn't working. I just also installed button savior and that app won't remove the navbar either. I any clues as to what is going on?

This is what I used, follow the link and instructions. You will need a root explorer to get to build.prop. however THIS IS NOT PERMANET. if you decide you want the navbar back just go back in the build.prop and delete the line that you have added.
And i dont know why the fullscreen.apk didnt work.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE LMT GESTURES OR PIE SET UP BEFOREHAND BECAUSE YOU WILL NO LONGER HAVE A NAVBAR (if you use this mod that is)

[Q] Gesture Controls Question

Hello,
I am currently using AOKP and I love the swipe to the right ribbon control for the dock to appear but the problem is that i'd prefer it at the bottom but you cant do this while the nav bar is there (which i leave and make transparent).
I tried to accomplish this with NOVA prime by making the swipe up gesture toggle the dock. The only problem is that I have to swipe it again for the dock to go back away. I would prefer to set a timeout for it to go back hidden.
I was wondering if anyone knew of another app/feature were i could swipe up, or another similar gesture, and have a dock appear. Then after a few seconds have it go hidden again (timeout) without losing the NAV bar?
thanks in advance. I'll be happy to clarify if this is confusing.
So I tried the GMD app and it does all I want it to do except 'timeout'. As the touchpads stay until you open an app or click on the home screen.

Notification Swipe Down Option? (No, not with the fingerprint sensor)

Is there an option or an app that allows you to swipe down from anywhere on the screen to bring down the notification bar? I know launchers like Nova allow you to do that, but I'm really enjoying TouchWiz this time around, and with my small hands, I'd really like to swipe down anywhere on the screen to get the notification tray. If I'm adjusting my hands and fingers to stretch up to swipe down from the rear fingerprint sensor, I might as well just swipe down from the notification bar.
I've noticed Samsung is blocking this only when it comes to the notifications. In action launcher 3 I can map swipe down to anything other than the notification panel.
I use the "All In One Gestures" app and remapped my back soft key to the notification pulldown on a long press.
Odd. I have this working with Nova on my S8
If you enable the app drawer button instead of just swiping, then you can swipe down from anywhere for notifications.

Are you sure this is true? Did you have to enable that somewhere? Not the fingerprint reader, and on the touchwiz launcher.
Well, I was wrong. I read that adding the app button would allow swiping down from anywhere. Just tested out and it still doesn't work. Sorry.

Finally they've implemented that feature. :good: :good:
Go to:Settings -> Display -> Home screen -> and enable Quick-open notification panel checkbox

Why do Verizon customers not get this version through official channels like the Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy App Store?

How do I switch to old recents?

Hey so the Android Pie recents is total utter crap. Is there an easy way to get an alternate recents? Maybe a build.prop edit? I'm rooted Btw so can try many a thing. Thanks!
P.S. Gonna probably go back to buttons too because the gesture for recents drives me nuts.
I would like to know also, but I'm not rooted. The scrolling in it is terrible. If i swipe too fast, it goes through several windows at once. If i scroll too slowly, it bounces the same window back in. I can't use navigation bar because i use long-press of home button to turn off screen.
If you guys are rooted, install a second launcher and Freeze the Oneplus Launcher. You will be back to the old recent. Enable the buttons as well.

It's a pie feature that is built in in the default launcher
On the odd occasion a launcher can go whack, if you have another it will automatically go to it or bring you a toast to go to it.It's a rare occurrence but for this reason it's good to always have two functioning launchers, you don't need to set the spare up, it's just there for an emergency till you can get home or whatever and figure out why your launcher is hung. I've diabled the stock launcher myself and use Action but picked up a spare on the play store just in case.
