Hello guys... I'm new to xda and redmi2. I rooted my redmi2 successfully..now I want to install recovery but I couldn't find any recoveries for my redmi2 model. All recoveries for HM2014818 .. but my redmi model is only 2014818 (there no HM in front of model number). Can anyone please provide me proper working recovery...
Model: redmi2 HM 2LTE-IN 2014818, Rom: kitkat(1gb ram 8gb rom version), Miui version: miui global 7.5 /stable 7.5.2.0(KHJMIDE).
Anybody tested gltools and xposed installer in redmi 2 (2014818)....thanks

Thanks for reply.. plz tel me how to flash recovery without pc. I need recovery to backup and restore roms. Plz suggest me any recovery (twrp or cwm) for my redmi 2 2014818 (not prime & HM2014818).
I'm confused about redmi 2 model numbers. Is HM2014818 & 2014818 both are same?. My current rom is stock kitkat 4.4.4.

2014818 is another name for hm2014818 or hm2lte-in, don't worry you can flash every recovery/ROM which is compatible with hm2014811/hm2014817 and hm2014818 , you can use flashify for flashing custom recovery( I never used flashify because I use pc, read instructions before using it, try it on your own risk).

You can use flashify to flash recovery without pc.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24533100289591162 (this recovery should work for you)

Will my stock kernel support this recovery?..

No need to flash any custom kernel unless you want to. Just flash the recovery image.

Viper 4 android in cos 12.1

Hi..
I have an unlocked bootloader, flashed twrp 3.0.2, rooted, kernel rr 2.22, rom cos 12.1 based on android 5.1
Any workaround for using viper 4 android.
Or any flasabhle zip file I can try.

There is a direct apk..
You just need busybox.
Those needing dolby atmos..
There is a flasabhle zip using twrp for it.

Is it safe to delete external twrp backup mm?

Now that I am running AOKP 7.1.1 I think my initial backup of my just rooted a7 (mm) is no longer useful. If I needed a backup I could use something from the 7.xx version.
Is that logical?

Yes its stable, been using it for over a day now and haven't found any bugs yet.
You will need to unlock bootloader, flash twrp recovery.
