Picture with flashlight

Hi all,
I tried to put the flash (light) for a picture, and I have an issue... The flash is lightening before taking the picture, so it's useless ...
Do you have the same issue ?
When I turn my flashlight on it stays on until I turn it off.
It stays on, but it's brighter on the moment the picture is done.
I've tried to make photos in front of a mirror to see if it is lightening before taking the picture or not. In my device (HTC TyTN) the flash comes just at the right moment, so it's not useless, but the shooter sound comes about 1 second after the picture is really taken.
Do you have a lot of applications running? probably your device is running slow and that's why you're experiencing this. Are you experiencing the same issue just after a hard reset?
Yes maybe, I'm going to try the mirror test
I have the same problem
The flash light it is NOT syncronized with the capture moment.
I think the question here should be;
When is the capture moment?
Pressing of the button does not coincide with the shutter sound or flash lighting... This is probably as the flash lights when button is pressed, at which point the device starts image transfer and the shutter sounds after picture is complete (try moving camera after shutter has sounded and before)

Camera Light

Is there a way/software that will turn on the camera light of the wizard?
It is handy in dark areas to be able to say press and hold the camera button and have the light go on...
...it will drain your batteries and decreases the lifetime of the 'lightbulb' enormously. Try attached plamp instead...
nah, the "flash" is a suface mount LED. LED's have a very long lifespan... it will long out-live the phones operating life.
Handy program, thanks!
...stupid of me, i never looked for it:
in my screen i've got 3 icons to the right: a lightning strike (i thought for autoflashing), working set and folder my pictures.
If you tap lightning strike lightning led stays on...
See, ...still learning by helping eachother...

yeah but then how do you get it to flash right before it takes the picture like all cameras with a flash do? because with the lightning bolt with a line through it doesn't have a flash...
...probably i've got a flash problem. Mine doesn't flash. I only can activate the light. I never noticed this because normally i use a digital camera (4Mpix) for pictures.
I don't believe it is a flash. It is only a light.
well it is the same as a flash, but it just stays on... i guess it is to help the camera so it doesn't have to adjust so much in a little bit. But it is kinda annoying trying to take a picture of youself with the light on.
The LED for the Wizard doesn't flash, it merely stays on.
well... technically it DOES flash...
It stays on to light the area, then when you actually take the picture it gets super bright (flashes) to light up the area for the picture.
Agreed, once the light is on (no slash on the lightning) it will flash (get brighter, not like a real flash but brighter than before) when u take a picture.
A program would be useful anyway to voice-command launch this feature...
Any Ideas?? (VJCandela does not seem to work on wizard T-mo 2.26 ROM)
So....Any programmer willing to help????

OOS Camera : Only plain green image is getting captured

Hi everyone ,
The image taken in close up shot is just plain green. Is there any problem running
The problem occurs when i capture closeup shots on Stock camera , the captured image is just a plain green image .
There is no problem for long shots.
Other camera apps like Cameringo working fine .
My One Plus 2 running on OOS 3.1.0 and latest boeffla kernel .
Since this morning I'm facing that problem, too.
For me it seems that the green image occurs, the darker it is around me.
I set the Camera app to Manual an not Photo and left everything at "Auto" - seems to work, yet.

DP2 stock camera APP black screen.

Black screen with Stock DP2 via camera APP(unrooted) .
The phone maybe random get in to the black screen when I take photo, and can not be reboot(put power botton 10S) unless connect to the charge adpter.
I got the same problem too. I just installed the NX camera mod. Hope it fixes the problem.
EDIT: The problem occasionally occurs when setting to the HDR+ on, taking the photo and quickly tabbing the photo in the gallery. It will not turn on unless you plug in the cable. After turning it on, the battery dropped 5%.

Hello there,
Have you found the fix for this issue?

Google Camera app - slow shutter

I installed several versions of the Google camera app (4.1 & 4.2) on my s8 which all partially work.
If I press the button to take a picture. The flash goes off followed by a shutter sound almost immediately. But the actual picture is taken seconds later, so I have to keep the phone still and focussed. This works by day but by night, the flash is long gone by the time the picture is actually taken, leaving a dark picture.
Anyone else have this issue?
