I've read that sRGB is the most accurate, but I'm finding it a bit too warm. Just wondering what everyone else is using?

I'm using adaptive not sure what benefits or cons its really giving though
Adaptive for now.

Same here. One of the reviews mentioned DCI P3 as the most accurate but it seems like that might not be true. So far I like DCI P3 seems comparable to my 4K TV

The resolution in the 240fps mode is reduced to 720 as that's all the system can handle. The quality is reduced from normal HD video.

I understand that but I have seen some videos out there and mine don't cone anywhere near as good quality I will take a video and show you

Wow, I haven't noticed that before but I just tried it 240fps on my phone and it's exactly the same as you. Perhaps it's because of the artificial light? I'm not sure.

It's been the same with any type of light the viewfinder actually shows that same quality when recording too. It concerns me as when looking at the below is such good quality

I'm not sure what would cause it. Have you got the new camera app that was released yesterday? I'm using that, perhaps it's a problem with that? I'll try it tomorrow in daylight again but yeah, 240fps looks a mess on mine.

You can uninstall updates in the app section using the top right hand corner 3 dots button. I just uninstalled it and quality is the same.

In that case I'm wondering is the camera at fault, normal video and photos are fine
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
I have a 5X also and used it the other day at sunset taking a 120fps slo-mogolf video and it did a great job. I just got my 6P 2 days ago and have tried the 240fps in great lighting outdoors and its far worse than the 5X at 120. Not liking this. I was expecting the opposite.
The slow motion needs a lot of light to be good quality. Since it's essentially taking 240 720p photos a second, its sensor won't receive much light per frame in low light situations.
The flickering occurs with artificial light because of AC electricity. Your lights actually dim and brighten with the changing direction of current, however it is mostly imperceptible by the human eye, but entirely perceptible by 240FPS!

The sun was as bright as it could be today when I took the 240. I guess I was expecting more. I will just stick to 120 or just take regular video and slow it down with Adobe.
Anyone coming from the note 5? Was it worth it? Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

I did. I like the screen better and this fits in my hand better. Havnt noticed speed difference my note was smooth and fast also. I kinda miss the pen but i am living without it.

I agree I just came from the iPhone 6s plus and the fingerprint scanner was beyond great.

My wife has the Note 5 and between the two, I still like mine better. Its just a better footprint overall.
I've got both. I don't see any difference in performance except when I compared them in Gear VR. The Note 5 was way much smoother for some reason (maybe something dragging down the S7E in the background..?) picture quality is slightly better on S7E but it feels like the Note 5 has slightly larger field of view.
Otherwise it's up to everyone personal preference design-wise.

Interesting, looks to me as if they've just changed the behavior of the long press, long press for the menu and then drag the menu to move the icon maybe?
There's no evidence of a pressure sensitive screen but this is a good way to implement without additional hardware.
Certainly didn't see it mentioned in the keynote or an immediate reviews that followed,or the exposure control on the camera either, wonder if they will be both pixel exclusives

I have seen exposure control and af/ae lock mentioned somewhere, I think it was a hands on video. Unfortunately for us the layman just wants a point and shoot that makes excellent auto shots so I wouldn't be surprised if Google omitted them.

He is just *****ing about semantics.
Is it a proper review? No.
Is it a hand's on / preview? Yes.
Is it useful and shows more than any other hand's on I've seen? Yes.
There, that should make all of the grammar police/nit pickers happy.

Just to add all reviews I have watched do far were on my phone or tablet,i watched this one on my TV ,and it does show off how good the device looks.A bit like the 6p it's going to be one of those you have to get in hand to appreciate it

Some incorrect info:
Said it supports QC 3.0 - false, it's USB-PD.
Said fingerprint has no other features - false, it supports notification pulldown.
Good points. I'm curious to see how useful the notification pull down on the fp is.

About as useful as it sounds. On my 6P, it'd be great... that is a yoga move to get to the notification bar, so I used Nova and just do a pulldown anywhere on the screen. I may not use Nova with the Pixel XL though since it seems like some features may be baked into the stock launcher, so it could be useful... then again the screen is also smaller. Very user dependent based on hand/finger size lol.
Actually there were a lot of inaccurate information in that video. He is just going off the small amount of information he knows. Nice high quality video of the phone though!
3D Touch on Iphone is pressure sensitive whereas on Pixel you get different options depending how long you touch screen. I presume long press gives option to add widgets from individual apps where supported.

Just wondering if anyone else notices screen flicker at low brightness on the Oneplus 5. I noticed it immediately as I was setting up my phone, and while I haven't used an AMOLED-equipped phone since the note 7 briefly last year, I don't remember seeing it on that phone.

It is because of AMOLED.
Is it all the time or only when there is animation?
All the time. I've actually gotten used to it pretty quickly though.

AMOLED has that problem. Not an issue for me, but try this to see the effect.
yes
yeah, i start seeing this for 3 days specially when i put reading mode, until today, it changes to black color and the screen stop working
I've completely gotten used to it now - don't notice it at all

Has anyone tried this out? I been trying it out for a day seems to work well without to much battery drain. AMOLED in the Play store.
