Anyone coming from the note 5? Was it worth it? Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

I did. I like the screen better and this fits in my hand better. Havnt noticed speed difference my note was smooth and fast also. I kinda miss the pen but i am living without it.

I agree I just came from the iPhone 6s plus and the fingerprint scanner was beyond great.

My wife has the Note 5 and between the two, I still like mine better. Its just a better footprint overall.
I've got both. I don't see any difference in performance except when I compared them in Gear VR. The Note 5 was way much smoother for some reason (maybe something dragging down the S7E in the background..?) picture quality is slightly better on S7E but it feels like the Note 5 has slightly larger field of view.
Otherwise it's up to everyone personal preference design-wise.

I just ordered a new Note 3 from Amazon and it was darned expensive.
I have a note I which I have used consistently for the last year and a half and I have used it daily. There are signs it might be wearing. I even have some small scratches on the screen. I expect to use the 3 the same way. I loved my 1 but thought I should upgrade before it falls apart.
The question is will I see a significant difference in the 1 and the 3? Is the 3 worth the price
I will appricate any thought you have on this subject
Wait until you get the note 3 use it for a few days and decide for yourself amazon is quite relaxed on returns

I had my doubts about getting it as I was really happy with my note 2. As it turns out the difference is night and day. This thing is the greatest phone ever built. You won't be disappointed.

I'm coming from Note 2 as well, only thing that's better is the screen, some other important things like battery life is worse for me. As well as stupid speaker placement, and KNOX. I'm not doing heavy tasks, so I don't notice any difference with the new CPU, RAM etc.

I find the speaker placement annoying also especially when holding the phone landscape my index finger on my left hand covers it

The battery life isn't much better than My N7100. However it's a 4g phone which up until now should have meant worse battery life than it's 3g counterpart. It's also a much faster processor and the screen has a much higher ppi and is significantly brighter. All these improvements and no sacrifices so far as battery life is concerned are pretty amazing to me.

Go for it I got mine last Tuesday, and can't let it go from my hands...
One think that annoy the hell of of me is that if you try to use pattern or password for lock screen you will lose lock screen widgets, and voice commands.... Those only work with swipe option... Hopefully Sammy will get this fixed ASAP. By enough whining, that's the best phone since Nokia 6310i

If I had a Note1 and wanted to buy a new phone it would be the Note2. Nice specs, no auto-dimming of the screen like on the N3 and better speaker compared to the N3.

if the note2 was the beast, and you're coming from a note1, the note3 is the incredible hulk. my first couple of days, i was kind of like, meh, it's just an incremental upgrade, and honestly it is, but it has a lot going for it and i am liking it more and more and more. this might be the first phone i keep much longer than 12 months. i upgrade once a year, and i am not too enthused about the first generation of 64bit phones that will hit in the near future. between google keeping mum on 64bit android, oem's still keeping hush about their 64bit plans, the initial bugs from android aaaaand the vendors overlays, i wanted a phone that would hold me over. but who am i kidding? i'll probably still get another phone next year.
I had a Note 1 and I have a Note 3 it is the best decision I made.
Bigger screen.
Better pen
Faster processor
Been playing with it all day long and I am sure the battery will do another day.

I'm hating my Note 3 for one reason; the bluetooth music stutter glitch. This is the third device I get, I returned the first 2, and it still has the same problem! I did a factory reset and it didn't help

What all these people said.
It is a great phone, streets ahead of my Note 1.
How is the lag and smooth scrolling speed on the phone? Is there any lag that anyone notices? Do the menus and websites scroll really smoothly like the iPhone 5S?

I have only been using s5 in ART mode and its butter smooth everywhere. But sometimes the phone doesn't come out of sleep (the screen remains dark/off) only the capacitive buttons light up and i have to toggle the power button several times for it to work (no power off required). another issue i face is that the camera takes a solid 5 seconds or more to start up from lock screen. May be i should switch back to DALVIK.
Tw launcher lag a bit. To overcome this u should enabled developer option and set each animation by 0.5x. I'm using nova launcher and it's fly

I remember having this conversation about the GS 2 years ago. Back then it was hard to argue that the phone had lagging issues. And today coming from an s2 the only lag I'm experiencing is in my own mental processing power trying to keep up with this phone

Yes there is lag. Especially when comparing to New modern phones like the HTC One M8.
Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Let's be serious once and for all.
TouchWiz will ALWAYS be slower than stock Android, so please stop asking if the S5, S6, S7 lag.
Don't expect TouchWiz to be as fast! Ever! That simple.

How is the lag compared to the m8?
I've noticed lag on the s5 while sifting through the camera settings during the camera mode. I think the scrolling on the s5 seems to be a little smoother compared to the m8 based on my testing both phones at a store, but I could be wrong. I also think the iPhone is still somewhat smoother than both phones. I'm hoping for find an android that beats out the iPhone in terms of lag and smooth scrolling.

I do use Nova but generally the phone feels like it's finally shaken off some of the slow S4 shackles.
My experience so far is that it is a big improvement over the S4. Bone stock so far.

If you look on YouTube, there's a video comparison of the lag. The S5 loses every time, but it's microseconds, nothing major.

I came from a GS6 Edge plus. That phone was smooth as ice , NEVER a hitch or stutter. This S7 Edge seems to be full of hutches or stutters.... It's bizarre. Anyone agree or am I a moron?

I found that me 1st day with this phone I was second guessing my decision to sell my Nexus 6P. After a few days I found this phone to be really smooth. I would give it some time
Chrome is the only app I've seen stutter, so I replaced it with lightning+.

I really just can't believe that after a few generations of the galaxy s line after I continue to support the brand. I always expect more. I still get lag once in a while. I hate lag

Just an observation coming from Note 3 , Note 4 and last phone LG V10 which was IPS display.
The current handset T Mobile Edge S6+ does not seem to be as sharp per se in image quality, meaning its not as crisp of an image ( notable when reading ) compared to what I was expecting. I'm guessing this is normal, anyone come from a Note 3 or 4 and care to chime in?
I came from note 3 and before that i had s4.
I feel s6 edge+ is better than them.

Short answer - My best friend buy S7E and we compared this two devices. The conclusion is S6E+ is better in screen, camera, overall beauty.
So while I'm not a huge fan of our phone the fact that it has an IR blaster is a win... downloaded Peel and it worked flawless, Super excited

I did too. I like the V20 better.
I did trade in my Note 7 for device, my only gripe with the phone after using it for an extended period of time is the size. I think had LG taken .5 inches off of it the device would be really close to perfect. Just havent had to use two hands for a phone in a while. IR blaster big +
Yup.. much fun to be had in bars.
