I need to change my wi-fi network name. (When I open my rooter menu I can see MAC address and network device name which are connect or been connected in past).
I have default setup on my Xiaomi with these details - Android (Xiaomi Communications Co Ltd). Is it possible to change it?

Open settings. Scroll down to About Phone, open that. Open Status. Scroll down to "Wifi MAC Address". Hope that works.

currently I'm using the "internet sharing" feature to use my phome wm 6.5 as bluethoot modem to connect internet
Now I want to connect my company network using a private apn which require a dynamic password provided by a token.
There is no any way to provide the password directly using the computer keyboard?
Or there is not any other way to configure in a easy way this connection each time?
Seem impossible to put the password in the connection settings, launch the internet sharing and set up the bluetooth connection in one minute!

Hey there to all.
Since I had Windows 8 on my Ativ Smart PC, I have been able to change APN connection of my device in order to use a different connection than that provided by the system.
Simply,after clicking on newtork icon in status bar, i was right clicking on network name, selecting connection properties and then changing the APN name.
Now that I updated to windows 8.1, the ability to access to network properties is missing by right clicking the network name and I have to access "PC settings/Network" to reach my network.
No problem, up to now, but the issue comes out when i try to change the apn name.
first of all I cannot change the name of the apn given by the provider.
(this should not be a real problem, considering that there is the possibility to create a custom setting)
secondly, even if I set to use the custom settings, if I get out of network setting screen and then I re-enter it, the APN selected is back to the unwanted one.
Is there a way to edit "drastically" APN set by provider? Maybe a regedit workaround?

my Mi A1 has Oreo latest build with Magisk root.
I have an hidden SSID (in my case is a 5GhZ, but I don't think it matters) and I can't connect to it.
I have added into the Wifi connections with all the correct parameters, but then I can't connect.
With a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro, everything is fine as well with other Android products I have.
If I unhide the SSID everything works without any change on the Mi A1.
Anyone with same issue?

I have opo device with Oreo, I did found only one solution:
1- add my network manually (hidden SSID also ip config if DHCP disabled)
2- install "WiFi Manager" app
3- open "WiFi Manager" app and tap on saved network and it will be connect.
Note: every time you disconnect from wifi you have to use "WiFi Manager" app, BIG Thanks GOOGLE Oreo!!!
When you input the parameters for the hidden SSID network, select static IP, advanced, input IP, subnet, gateway and DNS (same dns and gateway), select "is hidden" and it works. It worked for me, I have Xiaomi Mi A1 and after the update to Android Pie I had the same problem.
