[Q] Are there any ROMs that have stripped out TouchWiz entirely?

I'm not referring to an AOSP rom like CM or a STOCK rom that is AOSP styled. I'm referring to a STOCK rom that has had any and all of TouchWiz removed, maintained the drivers, but have replaced the framework with AOSP counterparts. Something like a hybrid chimera of sorts.
Has this been done? While I'm a programmer I'm no Android developer so I'm curious if this is feasible.

Well Android minus Touchwiz is basically aosp. Touchwiz is the shell that samsung puts on top of aosp. Removing touchwiz would only mean removing the theme, the apps and the special features that samsung has added in. There is no other way to remove touchwiz entirely. It would simply be an aosp rom.

ROM idea [Nougat]

Instead of trying to port or build from source a Nougat ROM for the J5... Why not use Cm13 as base ROM, that is pretty stable as it is, and apply over it customisations to the System UI, a modded Settings app, a system using the hidden Multi Window feature but given a better UI to support the framework... Things like this. Also maybe something akin of the Advanced Doze that Nougat has.

[HELP] OMS - OOS ROMs

Hi, as the LOS ROMs do not support the OP 5's camera features (as far as I understood) I will maybe stay on an OOS based ROM. My main problem is the lack of OMS support. Is there any ROM with OMS support or is it even possible to merge OMS into OOS?

AOSiP is a great ROM that I found that supports OMS

From my knowledge its not possible for devs to add OMS to OOS because its not open source. Only oneplus could add OMS.
But it look like with the release of OOS Oreo, which should be within the next month(s), we will get full substratum support on OOS.

Flux substratum theme works on latest oxygen version. Root needed.

I doubt it fully works. System and framework mods usually dobt work on OOS

Maybe not 100% but good enough for. I'm using it now.
Flux works with
• Android Nougat stock/legacy and custom roms
• Android Oreo stock/legacy and custom roms
• Andromeda stock rootless
• OxygenOS 3/3T/5 with native color accent support (needs root)
- Samsung (currently not working but support will come soon)
? Themed apps
Many system and third party apps are themed.
The list is too big to add it in the description.

Try the PureFusionOS :good: based on AOSP, really smooth (sometimes better than OOS), best custom rom for OP5 imho.. and of course has fully working OOS cam, you wont regret

Every theme working in OOS you need only to not apply the Android System and Framework... But you can theme every other apps

Are you talking about app or are you saying that you've themed even android system and the framework in OOS?

Settings/drop down meny are themed an alot off apps.

Is there any ROM that has native blocking of applications by fingerprint as in MIUI?

Is there any ROM that has native blocking of applications by fingerprint as in MIUI? But other than miui, the miui system bored me

Any method to use Samsung vendor apps in AOSP based roms?

I'm curious if we could use vendor apps like Samsung Music,Health,Notes etc on AOSP based roms!!
