Hey guys, has anyone an idea how to enable the 5T navigation gestures on our op5?
Perhaps some build.prop changes?

There are good apps that may could be interesting for you https://www.xda-developers.com/navigation-gestures-oneplus-6-oneplus-5t-gestures/
Thx, Tested it but does not work as expected. That's why I'm wondering if the system gestures might be enabled.

Hey guys i've updated my device to android oreo but now i can't disable the navigation bar with the build.prop method which worked in the recent android versions.
If i add the "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" line to the build prop my device screen stays black and the phone reboots after some seconds.
Is there another way to fully disable the navigation bar? I want to use pie controls so the global immersive hack is no option for me..
Thanks in advance
Agree. I'd love to know how to disable it.
Hey there,
Did you find any solution yet?
Currently on Oreo Beta and in just 30 minutes i hate the navbar already...
Anything?
Pls can somebody give a valuable answer
Hey everybody,
I searched around a lot for this but couldn't find anything that worked...
Basically I want to use gestures without the nav bar showing up at every upswipe...which it unfortunately does with the built in hide option and all those immersive app stuff.
I came across an 0pt.navbar.apk or something like that which in January seemed to only work for nougat and not oreo....
There doesnt seem to be any other apps/ adb commands/ apk files getting you around rooting
Pls help me guys, thx so much in advance
Guys pls if the answer should be somewhere around here pls send me a link or something thx :good:
I'm looking for the same. I had it on note 8, great. But that apk does not work in oreo and you do not need root. I hope a help with alternative or update of it.
Any new stuff? Maybe a new version of 0pt.navbar.apk? Thx guys

There also is a Magisk Module "Hide Navigation Bar" that works
Yo guys the new XDA app (navigation gestures)presented in yt does not work for Samsung experience android 8.0... Ma bar still keeps showing at upswipes.... Is there still no option to disable it and not only hide it?? I mean Samsung already has that hiding built in so you get more screen real estate... But at an up swipe it comes back which makes is it kind of an unsuitable solution for gestures.. Pls help- thx
Hey guys.
When the OP6 originally came out, it had Always-On Display enabled which was then ported back to 5&5T because Oxygen OS was so similar on the devices.
Just a shot in the dark here, could the same logic be applied to implement navigation gestures on the OnePlus 5 natively? (XDA's NAV Gestures is good and all, but still).
If not possible, feel free to explain why to me. I want to learn something from this.
Hello,
For some reason the notch on my 6T is hidden by an overlay which looks like the 6's. Does anyone know what may be causing this? I have tried the stock launcher and deleting Magisk modules.
There is a setting that causes this in developer options, maybe you changed that?

Do you mean the option 'Simulate a display with a cutout'? If so I haven't got that enabled. Thanks for the reply.

Maybe here.
Turns out it was the Mclaren fingerprint animation causing it. Thanks for the help.
Hi all,
I like the back store in gestures, butt I don't need it on the left only the right.
Anyway to disable it?
Cheers in advance
PS: would prefer a mod rather than an app or a file change.
Not sure how simple this is but there are a tonne of apps which have a swipe in gesture for side menus, the XDA app is one of them.
Dont think it's what you want. But ask in here.

Yea I've seen that, it's for two button gestures.
I've been so used to using the FP sensor for my navigation I can't go back to buttons now, plus you lose screen
There really should be a left hand right hand option
You can use this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ivianuu.oneplusgestures
On phone settings>navigation bar & gestures>choose navigation bar
On vivid app , disable navigation bar
Set a bottom edge for home and recents gesture
And a right edge for back gesture....

Yea I'd prefer not to have something like that tbh. If there's a way to change a value in a time would be the best option I think.
I just want the left side gesture off.
I'll see if I can find the gesture settings myself, muddy be in an ini somewhere

It's that using the same technology? I thought pixel users used that weird squeeze gesture.
I would never say can't in any way. But thanks for your input.
