As you can see from my screenshots, I do have root access but the thing is The magisk is not installed even though I've tried to root it again using patched_boot.img (MARCH UPDATE) - still not yet installed. I tried to install the magisk using that install buttom from magisk app itself but still didn't work. I don't know how it happened. I wasn't doing anything even though i am not uninstalling magisk - it's just disappears from my phone lol.

1-TWRP 2.7.1.1
2-SuperSU v2.40
Works good...
Install TWRP, flash SuperSU, wipe dalvik cache, wait the reboot... takes a 5 10 minutes...
If you take a bootloop when you restart your device, wait, i take 2 bootloops BUT WORKS

TO ANYONE WITH ROOT PROBLEMS
SuperSU has been working(not fully) since the 2.16. It has some bootloop and takes a while to start, but it starts!
IN CASE IT DOESN'T:
Wipe cache and dalvik, reboot and after a while it will boot

Trying to flash BETA v2.41 let's hope it doesn't get stuck in bootloops
*fingers crossed*
Update : Booted to SuperSU BETA v2.41 successfully... Bootloop issue still remains though...

Root not working. Keep asking to update binaries

My Nexus 4 is on stock 5.1.1 (unlocked bootloader).
Yesterday, I though it's time to root it.
Installed latest version of TWRP using (fastboot flash recovery twrp.img).
Then I downloaded Superuser (koush) from here and flashed it.
Now I have the superuser app but it doesn't work. It keeps asking me to update binaries and when I hit "Recovery Install" nothing happens.
How do I fix this?
Thanks in advance

But how do I uninstall Superuser?
It's a system app. That would require a root explorer to remove but then again, my root doesn’t work

Then just flash SuperSu and then remove the other one. You will get notification from SuperSu that this app (superuser) may cause conflict with this or something like that but just ignore that and install( in case you don't flash zip in recovery wich i recommend)

Galaxy A700FD bootloop after updating SuperSU

Hi there, I've been having problems with the Titanium Backup recently and tried some troubleshooting method such as unticking Mount namespace separation in SuperSU. They didn't work until i get to the point on updating the SuperSU from Play store. Then asked me to update the binary which i selected TWRP and it rebooted. After the installation from TWRP, it only boots to recovery. Tried turning off the phone and it still go to recovery even if i select reboot system.
Now i tried re-flashing the 'CF-Auto-Root-a7lte-a7ltexx-sma700fd.tar' via Odin3. It completed but then it's only boot looping. Sure i know it would reset multiple times but it has been more than 30mins doing like that over and over again. Tried to flash the TWRP again via Odin and wiped data/system/cache. And tried installing the Ressurection rom but it fails it gives me error "E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/external_sd/A7 Root and all/Roms/RessurectionRemix........"
Error flashing zip........
Then tried rebooting system. It said no OS installed proceed to reboot then saying device does not appeared to be rooted and asked me to install SuperSU which I did and it just restarted and still on boot loop....
Any help, please? TIA

I think all he needs to do is to reflash a full new stock rom, maybe wiping the devices if needed. MsmTool will work too but it will wipe everything including internal sd-card storage.
Also he should have tried to use magisk hide and change magisk manager package name to hide root from most apps. .Some look for unlocked bootloader but magisk should hide that as well. I can use all my apps with root still.

He relocked the bootloader. So if he wants what he said he must flash with msm . Yeah he must have to backup his data. But there is no option without wiping i think cause if he wants to unlock his bootloader it will also wipe storage.

Correct. Didn't see he relocked the bootloader. I think that wiped his phone already. He can't flash a rom then, only msmtool.

Magisk not working properly after a factory reset

I recently got OOS10 for my OP5 so I decided to factory reset since I always do that after a version change. After setting up my device, I flashed twrp and then magisk. But upon booting when I checked for safetynet it failed, while it was working before factory reset. I tried to use Magisk Hide and it doesn't seem to work, when ever I enable it for some app after going back to home screen it doesn't remember the app. Then I tried to install Magisk Manager for recovery mode and it failed. Any help on why this happening and how to fix it?? I have attached screenshot for safetynet and mod installation failure.

Try to change your device fingerprint with MagiskHide Props Config. I had the same issue with my 6T and this fixed the safetynet issue.

Try doing a cache / dalvik cleanup using twrp. I was having problems with magisk hide, even with hide enabled some applications detected the root and did not work. After cleaning the cache / dalvik everything worked again.
