Can SM-G935T be rooted and have custom rom installed? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi there, I'm getting pretty confused with all the conflicting information on my T-Mobile S7 Edge. It seems like it's possible to root, but some people have said that you can't install custom roms due to a locked bootloader. It's kind of confusing for me with all the different models of the S7 edge (qualcomm, exynos, chinese qualcomm, and all the different carriers) so it would just be really nice to see exactly what I can and cannot do on my phone. For example, can I root? Can I install TWRP? Can I install a custom ROM? Sorry if there are clear answers to all these questions, but I just can't find everything out that I need to know.
Thanks

N910W-8 Is there anything for this model?

Hey guys I have a Canadian Note 4 and am unsure how to go about rooting it. I have rooted and installed custom roms on various android devices in the past. This time though I am not seeing N910W-8 around the forums very much. Am I simply not seeing something or is my phone model not supported?
Links to the guides and such is all I really need. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a ton XDA!
Look in the T-Mobile threads.. the W8 is interchangeable with the tmo.. Just need to flash a W8 kernel before you boot.

S5 Active G870F questions...

I have a S5 Active G870a on AT&T which I need to replace due to cracked glass and a flaky charging port. No SD card or root are deal breakers, so I think I am going to stay with the S5 Active. While pricing, I found the G870f variant and have a couple of questions about it...
1. Is the bootloader unlocked on the G870f?
1a. If so, does that mean it can go with TWRP w/o safestrap?
2. Most ROMs specifically point to G870a, are there any issues with using them on G870f (with, maybe, an additional kernel flash)?
3. Is anyone using the G870f on AT&T? Any issues or thoughts?
Thank you very kindly.
Sorry that I can't answer most of your questions, but I have an G870F rooted and with the TWRP recovery installed (Intended for the S5). I'd be happy to know if I'd be able to use mods intended for the AT&T phone, as well. And what wouöd happen if I installed the cyanogen mod for S5..

Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A (SM-G906l) Locked Bootloader

I own an Samsung S5 Prime (SM-G906L) running on Android 6.0.1. At its age, yes it still works quite fast(S805+3gb ram).
Is there any way to unlock its bootloader? I can't literally do anything with it. I was planning to root and install a custom rom.
may want to check these types of threads out, I dont own this device nor have i played with it, but maybe some good info can be found here for you

I tried rooting the phone using cf auto root, etc but I came across some info that in order to root and install a custom rom, bootloader should be unlocked. And the thing is, I can't find any way to unlock it. It's really frustrating.

Rooting the S8, Installing a custom Recovery, etc.

Hello guys and gals. I want too root my Samsung Galaxy S8 (T-Mobile) and install TWRP on it, so that I can flash a custom rom. I have however read very negative things about people trying to modify their S8 devices and I am not sure it is as easy or safe as modifying my previous phone (The Nexus 6). I want to ask if it is currently safe, and if so, some reliable links to what I am looking for. Thanks.
You can't root the tmo s8 since it has a locked bootloader, you need the exynos s8.

Custom ROMS for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910S, Korean Variant)

Hello,
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and although I definitely should've checked the model number I did not. My mistake. But I've come to realize that the phone is a Korean variant and as such I can't modify it and put custom ROMs on it - if you can, I'm not sure how.
I'm a novice on smartphones and putting custom ROMs on them, I've done it before on a Note 3 that I owned (Canadian variant).
Since there aren't any custom ROMs (that I can find) for the Korean variant... Is it possible I can somehow convert the phone to an international variant or perhaps force the process?
Thanks in advance.

I have an n910s too...
Tried almost all ROMS and this is the best one.
Good luck.
If you find a way to convert to international version please let me know how to.
Thanks.
Thank for the input but I'm going to be returning the phone and getting an international or Canadian variant, as I would like to use LineageOS on it or something similar. I don't want any ROMs that look or feel like TouchWiz.
