Custom ROMs (none OOS) with apt-x?

Hey devs/anyone constantly flashing ROMs!
Are there any none-oos ROMs out with apt-x support for Bluetooth? It's been in OOS for a while now and I'm pretty sure there was a commit to LOS a while ago including it in LOS but none of the ROMs I have tested so far have had them, and I see nothing in the change logs for those roms
Granted i haven't flashed a custom rom for a good month but I don't want to go and re set up my phone 20 times to find a rom that has apt-x
So, any custom ROMs here have apt-x support?
Edit: Doesn't have to be LOS, aosp or similar is good too just needs to have apt-x

I think only oos roms support aptx. I was searching for a mod or magisk module but no luck. So, i went back to oos for aptx and camera.

I remember on the OP3T (which i had) they eventually added it to LOS, but im sure those commits were supposed to be for LOS as a whole, not just OP3T - would be nice, all my old Magisk/system mods with aptx files don't work anymore and i can't find the thread that helped me fix it before (i didnt create it)
As for the camera, i'm using the OOS camera port for RR Unofficial at the moment, quality isn't AS good but its good enough for how many photos i take

Bump to this. If not ROMs, any way to add aptx support to LOS or similar? I have tried every zip I can find and none of them work. I have 2 aptx devices and they work fine with OOS.

Cheers, I'll give that a try next time I can be bothered to reset my phone.. Got fed up of re setting everything up. LOS should have it as commits went in ages ago for it, at least in the OP3/3T but I swear it was a global commit

Whatsapp Low loud mic??? WTF?

Hi shurs!
I have sent audios on Telegram and WhatsApp and it turns out that on WhatsApp, nither reciever or sender (no one) does not hear it as loudly as it should, that is, as if there was a "jam" in the microphone ... But on Telegram (and Facebook, and whatever) they listen well.
it has no dust and nothing more, and I've tried to uninstall/reinstall Whatsapp, as clean cache, data, blablablablabla and NOTHING WORKS!!!
Does someone happen with it? It has a solution?

I've had the same problem since Oreo update, the audio of Whatsapp note have a very low volume even with OOS without any mod(OOS stable, no modded kernel, no root), and even after installing a custom kernel, the Whatsapp microphone bug was present.
Just yesterday i've flashed blu_spark kernel and the problem is gone, now the audio is fine on every application.

5.0.4..... last one, but is since Oreo more or less I think

I haven't got that low sound issue and I am on Franco's kernel.
Can u flash a kernel and see if that fixes it?

This has been a problem since my OP3T the nougat update lowered the mic gain on Whatsapp and it sounds like I'm under water in Facebook messenger.

Rooting and choosing the best/stable combination

Hello everyone, i am new to the scene of the Mi A1, i bought the phone about 1 month ago and have been observing the forums, but i would like to ask some questions the community as i have not yet managed to find clear answers to the forums if someone can help me
1. If i root the phone is there a way to revert back to complete stock and get OTA's again?
2. In custom roms, can i get the stock camera working 100%?
3. Is there any custom rom that you recommend in terms of stability and battery life?
4. Are there any drawbacks to the custom rom scene?
5. Do you recommend the stock rom with a custom kernel or a custom rom altogether?

1. There is a way to update OTA with magisk, but you will need you use magisk just as systemless, without touching system stuff. Alternative you can have root and just unroot everytime you want to update the ROM or you can manually flash the update... 2. Stock camera works in custom ROMs, someone did a port somewhere in this forums... https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/themes/oreo-mia1-stock-rom-camera-app-custom-t3758543
3 and 4. Most of the custom ROMs are based on the same sources, LineageOS was one of the first "stable" ROMs so most of the ROMs are based on it, inheriting all of its bugs (haven't found a critical bug). I've tested a few ROMs and the mosts I liked in terms of battery life and stability are... LineageOS and Pixel Experience, you will need to test them out for yourself.
5. If you want to experience a more "stable" feeling stick to Xiaomi development, the latest stable version is 8.0 (with rumors of 8.1 coming soon). If you want latest Android updates and features go for a 8.1 custom ROM.
In my experience you will need to try all this things on your own, until you find a place where you feel comfortable with your phone. Just read guides on how to recover your phone from a bootloop and you are good to go!

I will answer only question number 4 because the guy above me said everything, by the way I prefer RR.
The drawbacks I found on custom roms are 2 for me...
1) Poor signal reception compared to stock
2) Sound quality is much better in stock compared to custom... (my opinion)

I am itching to root the device but to be honest the only thing i want is android 8.1 and a better battery, other than that i am pretty much satisfied with what i have. (and this is coming from someone that changed rom every other week on previous phones) Thank you for your replies, they were informative and greatly appreciated! I just hope Xiaomi updates the phone soon because it feels kinda outdated for an android one device

How is the dolby Atmos not working? Have you installed the standard version? I have a good signal 4G and wifi no worries ...

I just flashed DA with twrp nothing else ...
May be a problem with another mod in magisk?
Power button after bootloop for normaly reboot?

Already do this.
Only mods I`m using are Pixel Experience 2 and Google Sans Font...

I need help about a serious problem causing with custom roms

Recently i'm facing no sound in call from other side in every rom expect arrow os, tried with flashin nxp still no solution.
Always did clean flash and have latest firmware. Never tried sound mods.
Can't hear anything neither anyone from another side
tried flashing nxp didn't worked.
Now i'm stucked in arrowos and can't even update rom. Any solution?

not working. disabled, switched did all things possible, now using another rom which have premissive selinux by defaulf

I unlocked the bootloader 2 weeks back. I have tried havoc os 2.9 3.3 rr pie lineage 17.1 miui by rinku, op5 port etc. I took backup all most every rom. I think I also made a couple of calls(call was working on havoc 2.9 previously). Yesterday while I was on havoc 2.9, I received a call. I attended the call. I was not able to hear any thing from the other side. The other side was unable to hear anything. Same with speaker also. Then reinstall (fresh install, restoring backup fresh install with gapps also) havoc 2.9, 3.3, rr pie, lineage 17.1. but same result. But no problem with miui. And no problem with superior OS Q. I have searched xda and found certain foxes for gsi's and dolby patch for oreo. But my problem is not with gsi or oreo rom. Does anybody have the same problem. Any solutions?

Custom Roms & Mic Problem

Hi there! I am having an issue that is very annoying for me and i can not find any solution
Why when i am on voice call i can hear my voice? when i blow on mic i can hear it from speaker... i can even hear sounds from my environment and when i am in placess with a lot of noise i can barelly hear the other side. It happens not on all custom roms. It happens on CrDroid 5.8, Havoc OS 2.9, Bootleggers 4.3, Pizza by lmc. No problem on Havoc OS 2.8, Bootleggers 4.2. and Stock ROM Any solution or fix?
(Clean install and stock kernel)
