I have sent audios on Telegram and WhatsApp and it turns out that on WhatsApp, nither reciever or sender (no one) does not hear it as loudly as it should, that is, as if there was a "jam" in the microphone ... But on Telegram (and Facebook, and whatever) they listen well.
it has no dust and nothing more, and I've tried to uninstall/reinstall Whatsapp, as clean cache, data, blablablablabla and NOTHING WORKS!!!
Does someone happen with it? It has a solution?
I've had the same problem since Oreo update, the audio of Whatsapp note have a very low volume even with OOS without any mod(OOS stable, no modded kernel, no root), and even after installing a custom kernel, the Whatsapp microphone bug was present.
Just yesterday i've flashed blu_spark kernel and the problem is gone, now the audio is fine on every application.

I haven't got that low sound issue and I am on Franco's kernel.
Can u flash a kernel and see if that fixes it?

This has been a problem since my OP3T the nougat update lowered the mic gain on Whatsapp and it sounds like I'm under water in Facebook messenger.

I have this problem on nougat rom since the beginning i started to use it. I lose audio from notifications after a while, after reboot. Every notifications stop to have sound, but i receive them in the usual way. I use viper4android and i din't have any problem with marshamallow rom, i used Efficent rom for one year. Now on nougat every rom tried has the same problem. I used Helios rom, superman rom, and now i'm using superstock rom. Maybe it's something that i disabled from samsung bloatware ? But it doesn't make any sense, because it should not works always, and not only after sometime after the reboot. I'm desperate, if i can't find a solution i need to come back to marshmallow. I use xposed too, but i don't think any module can cause this that i use

I have no sound on all user apps in all Oreo ROMs in Redmi Note 3 Pro (kenzo). No Spotify, YouTube, WhatsApp audio messages, etc .
I test speaker changing calls ringtones and it works great. But no one user app reproduces sound.
Another bug in Oreo ROMs is telephone only works in hands off mode. This is very annoying because I have to make calls in hangs off mode.
Has somebody this issues with Oreo ROMs?
You need to open the thread in questions section. About the issues, it is only you. Flash latest miui using miflash and try again. You will start freshly and with latest firmware.

yes it's working for me
It does not contain the mods for headphones............... so headphones still very low.
I flashed stock oreo roms on my g5 plus using fastboot and twrp methods. I also tried different versions of it (soak test 1 and october patch).
Each time I flashed the stock oreo rom, I encountered audio issues on music player apps like play music, spotify etc.
When a song played, I could hear a slight buzz as the song was playing, making it seem like the audio file has problems. Happens when I plug in headphones/use speakers.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling those apps and factory reset but nothing seems to fix this.
This does not happen with apps like youtube or the phone app, where the audio is absolutely normal. (with headphones/speakers/earpiece).
I have used custom nougat roms (stock and custom) and custom oreo roms like RR, PE and never faced such an issue with audio quality before.
Can anyone help me identify what the problem is?

There's most likely no way to figure out why some apps sound normal for you and others don't. A clean flash is always a good advice, if that doesn't help it's most likely a hardware issue (of your device or your audio hardware). I flashed stock Oreo a few days ago, rooted with magisk and flashed viper4android and ainur sauron as modules. The sound is great using Poweramp, YouTube or any other source.
I've faced a problem in Latest havoc build (26-feb)... That I can't able to speak phone calls using earphone's mic...I thought this was a ROM side issue and switched to latest bootleggers.. But the problem still continues...someone pls help me
NOTE: Earphone's mic working in pubg and WhatsApp call.. But not In regular phone call
