This apparently happens on every rom that i tried. Included are the error logs.
I also tried multiple 7.1.x Roms and had the problem there too. Every rom was clean installed. It probably is a modem problem but i tried 3 others already.
Happens with and without magisk.
Some other info about what i have installed currently:

Have you attempted to update your baseband? Last version of the baseband that I am aware of is HQK1, and updating to it might help with the WiFi issues.

if you mean the XXUHQK1, i just flashed it. Still have the same problem :crying:
The only thing that changes are the error logs and that it reconnects a bit faster
Revert to stock. If you have the problem on stock, then the issue is most likely hardware-related.
I have spotted the same issue. I'm currently started using the S4 as a second device. I can't remember if I had the issue before as well when it was my primary device.
I tried latest CM/Lineage based ROMs and currently I'm running with latest stock 5.0.1 ROM. the problem is always here.
Same problem here. Haven't had the issue before. As soon as I started to use Lineage OS 14.1 the WiFi dropping issue occured. I have the latest version of Magisk installed and Xposed is also installed. I haven't tried to reinstall the ROM without Magisk and Xposed yet.

Hey guys,
we all use and work on different ROMs, be it OmniROM, CyanogenMod or AOSPA. However we all use very similar (if not the same) device trees and for that reason, I have decided to create this thread. Anyone can post test builds, logs, experiences, commits or whatever here without having to clutter other threads or open new ones.
My kernel should be good to go (it is pretty much up to date with the latest CAF upstream of the A-family, which means none of the kernel commits on cm gerrit (android_kernel_sony_apq8064) are required.) I'll be pushing everything I commit here: android_kernel_sony_apq8064.
Looking forward to a successful/effective collaboration guys.
Sounds good to me
Gave SlimLP a go - it boots. Although I didn't test it for long, I did notice that RIL is broken. Everything else should be working. I've used the kernel mentioned in the OP to get it compiled. I'll probably continue working on this on the next weekend.

Yeah RIL is broken due to old sepolicies, I haven't had a chance to update them for Lollipop yet. Should be pretty easy though, using either pabx's policies or mako's for reference.

Yea me neither, I just went for permissive SELinux and disabled our policies (in fusion3-common) as they were breaking the build. We'll see...
I have updated the kernel to LA.AF.1.1-01310-8064.0. More CAF upstream coming soon...
Bump (and this goes to everyone using any 5.1 ROM) - just out of curiosity; what kind of random reboots do you guys experience? Hard reboots? Soft reboots? Or something else?
Describe the issues as precise as possible and upload logcat, dmesg and last_kmsg (and mention what ROM build you use)
I use pabx lollipop 5.1 aosp as daily driver.
Absolutely great working rom, no issues, no reboots no freezes. I feel like i have a nexus
Guys the reboot issue has been solved for me after update and it only happened when phone was in charge any idea why I have a lot apps crashing specially on Google chrome
I want to install a ROM of the latest android version. I installed a custom ROM a long time ago, I honestly don't remember what I did. I think I used "wug's tool" or something like that. Here's what my phone says:

Where it says GT-I9505G, I don't think it said that originally, when I got this custom ROM it changed to that. It's an AT&T phone (U.S). I'm not very knowledgeable about this, I usually just follow tutorials.
So what method should I use? Any tutorials, links? ROM recommendations?
Thanks.
It's important to know which bootloader is on the phone before flashing anything.
I suggest installing Samsung phone info app from the play store to find the version. Once you know the version, then you can decide how to proceed.

Thanks. I checked, it's the same as the Baseband version you see on the pic.

Add screenshots of the app to check it better.
Since he already flashed a custom rom, I don't think the bootloader is locked anymore.
In theory, you just need to flash a custom recovery (TWRP recommended) then you should be able to flash pretty much any I9505 roms.
I agree that it is unlikely that the bootloader is locked but I believe it is always good to know which bootloader is on a phone before flashing anything.
if Wi-Fi or network signal isn't good on any new rom you try you'll need to change the bootloader if you want to update the modem/baseband.
I installed the latest version of TWRP since mine was outdated. I did a full wipe as instructed in the ROM's page but TWRP refuses to install the ROM after. I keep getting "Updater process ended with ERROR: 7" "Error installing zip file [location of my file/file name]". I am without OS.

Got it. It was not the right ROM for my device.
So after struggling with abysmal battery life, I decided I needed to downgrade to APC8 firmware in order to achieve optimal battery life, however I am unable to flash in Odin. I receive a SW REV failure fused 3 binary 2. Does anyone have any ideas why I might be getting this failure and is there a way to fix it?

Do you have the very latest ODIN version and are you following the steps in the firmware and other threads?
I hope Samsung hasn't thrown something in its updates that blocks downgrading....

I'm running the latest Odin, yes and I have downloaded the appropriate files for my device and carrier. I've done everything right. It just seems to fail. I'm not sure what the issue is.
I'm beginning to wonder if it may have something to do with when I used package Disabler in the past. Although I have since then factory reset and it seemed then that I got some type of error then too,. lthough it did allow me to reset.

I did solve this, as I said I downloaded a stock version of android 6 and device work as usual, you can download it from sammobile.com. GoodLuck
I can log into wifi networks and use the browser's but apps don't work through WiFi.
I've been on the unofficial LOS build for the A2017G from the 3rd of february ever since it got release since i never bothered to flash a newer build. Now I wanted to try out Resurrection remix or the newer LOS builds, but everytime I flash them in TWRP, with or without Gapps, I just get a black screen after the bootloader and then my screen turns off. I can load my nandroid and then everything works fine again.
Any chance someone here might know what to do? Screenshot of my about page is below, if any further info is needed, just ask.

My TWRP is 3.1.0.0 - which should be a recent enough version, AFAIK

You need to flash the new universal bootstack from Unjustifieds linageos thread.

Ive tried that as well - before and after flashing the actual ROM/Gapps. Or is there a new version of the bootstack I missed? I used the same file as I did when flashing the unofficial LOS build, "A2017G_Nougat_Bootloader+ModemFix2.zip".
I'll try again though - I took a look at the files and there is one for the G model and one with an X - which should I use?
A2017X_B15_Universal_Bootloader.zip & A2017G_N_Modem.zip
The "X" would mean for every model (A2017, A2017U or A2017G).
You previous zip file A2017G_Nougat_Bootloader+ModemFix2.zip is old.
I think you should follow the first step in LineageOS thread:
1. Install the Universal bootloader and your model specific modem.Failure to do so will not allow flashing the ROM!
Universal bootloader = A2017X_B15_Universal_Bootloader.zip
Modem package = A2017G_N_Modem.zip
By the way you can also upgrade to latest TWRP 3.1.1-0:
