My phone was working fine. Today I've put my phone to charge and it was about 75% then I had enabled Stay Awake option in the developer option to update my apps from Google.
Because normally when I update and the screen goes off it doesn't update the app. So it was one way to do it. This method I've used for several years (I mean I was watching the phone while playing games on my PC).
But today, My phone was charging from a powerbank and I was in bed then I woke up to do some work on my PC. The phone was on my bed still charging and updating the apps but I saw that the power bank was low and my phone was turned off. I took the phone and it was hot and it wasn't booting.
I tried charging from its charger from the wall socket for more than 20 mins, the phone gets hot again but won't show any charging animation.
I tried connecting it to my pc via USB it doesn't make any sound.
If you have an idea what happened please tell me. I need this phone.

Hi friends my mobile htc fuze (at&t) is not switching on , actually last night I put my mobile in charging(at the time the battery level shows 2% ) then went to sleep. after that morning I woke up, unplugged the charging and I seen that it was switched off .then I try to switch it on but it won’t switching on and all. When I unplugging the charger my mobile was hot, then I removed the battery and kept it cool for 10 min, then tried for switching on but the same thing no reaction. I bought this mobile 2 years back, this is the first time am getting like this compliant. Can anybody help me with this compliant
Suggestions are Much appreciable........
maybe it's the charger getting messed up.
try charging your phone via usb fromyour computer for abit. if your phone starts up, that would mean that your charger is messed up and you should get a new one. goodluck
I woke up this morning and my phone was off. As you probably already know, the HD2 does not stay off if it is plugged in (with WP7 on it). I checked the charger and outlet; everything was plugged in. I also used a different charger, and different outlet which I know works, and got the same result. When the phone was plugged in it would turn on and start booting then I would see the flashing light - indicating that the battery was dying- and the phone would shut off. This happened like ten times.
I took out the battery and put it back in, with no results. Then I switched batteries and it finally worked. I'm still learning about technology in general; is it possible that my other battery is dead?
Has anyone else had this issue?
your other battery is probably just flat, and cant charge because it needs a running OS, and since the OS cant get far enough into the boot sequence to start charging, the several times it bootlooped will have drained the last of the charge.
Options - external charger, loan of a hd2 running winmo, or my personal fave, (used it three times now) usb cable with end cut off, red wire to + black wire to - on battery, hold for a minute or two, should have enough juice to boot far enough to begin charging. Best to use wall charger rather than pc usb, since the pc may connect and disconnect time or two whilst booting, preventing continual charge.
I forgot to mention that the first time that the I booted with the battery that doesn't seem to work I actually got to the wp7 home screen and it was about 20 seconds before the phone died.
Even so, I'll try that cut off cord thing when I reach home. Thanks for the advice.
I guess my phone just felt like being retarded the "flat" battery is working now.
My phone just went dead yesterday, while playing tiny tower. Suddenly turned off, and would not turn back on. When I connect the charger, the led in in the speaker blinks. When the charger is not connected, the phone is completely dead. And it does not respond to anything either way. I don't know if this is rom related. Probably not? I'm thinking returning it to the shop, and hoping for the best is my only option, unless someone here has a better idea.
Update: I tried turning it on, connected to the charger, but without the battery in. It starts. So I guess the battery died? Suddenly and completely?
What happens if you turn it on without battery in and then insert battery?
Mine did a similar odd thing when I first wiped battery stats. Was playing angry birds to drain battery right down and it turned off, but would not start. LED just blinked when power was in. I just had to plug it in and unplug it a bunch of times and it finally started charging.
I did wipe battery stats last week, but have been through a few drain/recharge cycles since then. When I start with the charger connected and insert battery it gets past the boot animation and then shuts off. I tried with a different battery yesterday, and it worked fine. When you say plug it in and unplug, do you mean connecting and disconnecting charger, just repeatedly?
yeah, was just plugging and unplugging a lot and it finally worked. If another battery worked then that would seem to be the fix.
Will try that. Thanks!
Managed to get it to start by putting the battery in after starting with just the charger first. Had to try a bunch of times before it worked. Been charging now for 5 hours, but it never gets past 10% charge on the battery? Do I just let it keep charging or is there some other way to fix it?
That happened to me in the day I bought my phone. It only started with the charger plugged in (and with no battery).
I thought the problem was in the battery, but in the store they tried with a new battery and the phone did not connect. So they replaced and everything is fine (since September).
Don't sure how it is called, but as en example:
When dead Lumia phone connected to the charger, it is turning on and start booting automatically weather you want it or not.. Which is also bad because charging time increased and it can't charge at all from low current sources such as USB (just keep rebooting whole night instead of waiting for at least 5% once).
When dead Samsung phone connected to the charger, it shows battery level and some animation without booting... Which is probably good and decreases charging time... But I just missed very important call that leads to money loss... Because I put dead Note 4 on charger this morning and didn't turned it on manually (I thought I would do that after couple minutes)
Can I make it load automatically on 20...50% charge or on full charge or anything like this?
Hello,
Two days ago, i was charging my phone, everything was fine and normal. But then
it stop charging, I change cords, Changed adapters to no avil. Then i plugged it into the wall again, but it still wasn't charging so i uplugged it and my phone went crazy, Saying it was charing, then it wasn't then it was then is wasn't then it was. Mind you my phone isn't plug to no power source it just. When i charge my phone when it's off, my phone vibrate and have a thin white light pop up when it vibrate, like it's about to turn on but it don't. sometime it comes on and charge but if i move the cord it will stop. and when the phones is on it charge sometimes but again i have to work with it and move the cord around. So my phone charge but only when it wants to which not to offten. I haven't dropped my phone, no water damage no nothing. The only thing is thought i cut my phone off that night and when i woke up it was on.
P.S I am running android version 4.4.2, my phone fail to do the UPDATE. if this mean anything.
