amazon app, where is it?

just got a g1 but there's no amazon app installed. I thought g1's came with this?

should be right in the program menu.
did you buy the g1 from T-mobile? have yu ever seen the amazon app? have you upgraded your phone (what rc## are you using?)
i havent heard of any body experiencing this problem

Hi, I bought bthe phone from tmobile shop in derby uk, and its on rc8 firmware.
The amazon app has never been on my phone which really frustrates me.
How do I get the app for my phhone. I've searched android market but haven't found it.

Yes i have and feel a bit fobbed off. They just said go in to help centre on Android market and search it there. I should be able to find the app to download and install.
I've tried that but the amazon app is nowhere to be found.
Really puzzled by this.
Can anyone confirm that UK G1's DO have the amazon app and it's not USA only at the mo?

Ok, been over to the Tmobile forums and as i understand the Amazon app is not yet available for the UK market. Maybe in the next update then?

Xoom Honeycomb Chinese

Does anyone know where I can get Honeycomb Chinese for the Xoom? I know it was released in China recently and was looking to install on the wifi Xoom I bought a few weeks back.

MZ606 (Chinese wifi version) seems the same hardware and MZ604, MZ606 MZ604's stock rom flashing is working.

If you just need the locale to be in Chinese, you can try More Locale 2 from the market. I can change the locale language on the Xoom with this app.
But if the Chinese Xoom has it's own 3rd party apps... yeah you need the rom.

Hmmm, not sure what we be the best route to take. I bought this wifi Xoom for my sister when it first was released. But my sister is in Taiwan and would prefer to be able to navigate through the system if it were in Chinese. Since I'm here visiting I figured I could perhaps load it for her before I go back home.
What would you guys recommend? Loading the Chinese install? Or using that More Locale app?

Just tried MoreLocale. Works nice but I realized I'd still need Chinese input without having to using the voice method.

I have a Question for 89 € can i use it as a normal Tablet without Special Offers and can I run the Google Playstore on it?
Is it on Generation 7 able to remove Special offers and install Playstore
I need a cheap Tablet for Netflix, Amazon Prime and Skygo
Also i would like to play some Games like Punch Club should run on it

Yes, this tablet is perfect. And you can easy root it with k4y0z method or diplomatic's method.

I'm not sure if this applies to newer models, but on my HD8 2016 if you never register to Amazon you never get special offers. I haven't seen one ad since I've owned it.

There are 4 ways To remove the ads, With root, you can uninstall them. A program called automate, and from what I seen through a Amazon customer service chat. Or pay the extra money.

Rooting should be the best solution.
Skygo is not working.
In this forum are you can find several thread how you do this.
No at this time there is no Custom ROM available.

I have never gotten ads on any amazon tablet I have owned that had special offers. The only tablet I have ever registered with Amazon is my old 8.9. Sometimes it made downloading the OTA easier.

So i shouldn´t register the Tablet and cancel the First Wirless Lan Access right?
I would like to install Playstore and my favorit Game and Netflix,Skygo and something more Apps.
Guys, before i make any changes, can i make a full backup for warranty that i can just go to restore Orignal Amazon FW without root or any changes

My suggestion is to ask amazon to remove them if you have the ad's. You don't need root to install the play store or apps you seem to be interested in. To make a full backup, you need to be rooted. But looking at what you want to do, just fire it up and use it. There is currently nothing preventing you from changing your mind and deciding to root. I don't like automate cause it is an application being used in the background. Many have reported that just contacting or emailing amazon has got their ads removed. Worst case is they charge you 10-15$ and credit is back from what the thread said. Check out the thread under general. If you don't register you wont have access to the amazon stuff (amazon video, amazon app store, and etc.

In My Case 20€ but they have kindly spend it for me so i have it unlocked and installed Playstore and now activate it.:highfive::good: Best Job =) Its better
Skygo working ,Netflix working, amazon Prime working, Nova Launcher working fine

BritBox on ( or not ) the 4K firestick

Hi, just signed up to BritBox , am in the UK , works on other devices I have, appletv4, mecool android box, but now I see its blocked on the fire stick duh , I tried downloading the apk and adding it directly but when launching it says theis app is only available in usa, so am assuming its an older version, bit of a sickener this, the wife loves all the british dramas.

No its now available and lots of people subscribed in UK, just the official version is blocked on stick , amazon will let you purchase and use it on a stick as long as you pay for a prime account.

Mine purchased from OnePlus directly has alexa hands-free installed in the pull-down icons. just tried it and it works. After the very latest update, it disappeared, but i had re-rooted with wrong magesk patche, but after using the right one, its back.
I wonder if OnePlus needed more units for their last sale, so they grabbed everything (Amazon had no inventory). Oh well.....

Thank you ! That is great news that root is there and can work. So Google assist and Alexa assist can both chat/respond to you ? What was the wrong patch and the right patch ? I saw that the third ( ? ) oneplus patch is out... 10.5.6

I used 10.5.5 first after it updated before I rooted
Same day, 10.5.6 update showed up. Did not have to unroot first,but it unrooted in the process. Fastbooted the patched 10.5.6 magisk and back in business.
