Hello!
I've just receive the Honor Band 4 (in Chinese version by default). I've downloaded the app Huawei Health but It's impossible to connect via Bluetooth. Any ideas?
Can someone help me, please?
Thanks a lot!
Is there a English language version or it's just Chinese by default for non-supported languages\regions?

The language will change to your phone's default once you pair your phone and band through official huawei health app.

I have a Huawei Band 3 and when my phone is in my native(serbian) laguage or any other language that band 3 dont support the bracelet switch to chinese, and when my phone is set to english the bracelet is in english. I assume there is a band 4 english default version for unsupported languages instead of chinese like band 3 but I need confirmation from someone who actualy have it.

I don't mind to have my band in english but I don't want to keep my phone in english just to have band in english. I have wrote honor and they are aware of this issue and I'm not the only one with this problem. So I'm asking before I waste my money again is there a same problem with Honor Band 4?

I could connect just fine to my Oneplus 6.
Which phone and Bluetooth version do you have? Maybe there are not compatibility... I think honor Band 4 has Bluetooth 4.2 (I'm not sure). I own a Huawei Mate 9 and I could connect without any problem
Change your phone language to English. First your app needs to update it self (it does that automatically once you click the + in the top right corner) so you can actually see the band 4 in the list. Once the update is completed then chose band 4 and wait again to download updates first to the phone and then transfer it to the band 4. Only then will you be able to use it.
I have same problem, my band 4 is in chinese language. My LG G6 phone and Huawei Health app are in english. When I open app and tap on plus sign - no honor band 4 is shown in possible devices list. I've tried to connect USA/RUS VPNs and no success.
In Band 4 are only chinese chars. I've translated (google translate) all texts into english and no text contains something as "pair".
I've checked all avail. bluetooth devices in my phone and no band 4 device was found.
I've in my phone honor band 2 device which is worked correctly.
Any idea how to connect band 4 with phone or start band without phone?
I've tested with Samsung S8 and Huawei P9 - same problem as above with LG phone.

SOLVED!
I've start NFC in my mobile, band must be very close to mobile. Launched huawei health, add device and after 1 minute device list was refreshed. Band 4 is in list and pairing is done correctly. This is solution when device is not i list in huawei health.
Just using Huawei Health to connect HB4. Open Health, choose smartband, waiting it update newest devices and you will get Band 4 selection.
This band is much better than Mi Band 3. I'm quite happy with it. Just finding how to display notification content directly on band screen when it pushed

Three days ago I received my Honor band 4 without NFC, and had the same problem to pair with the Huawei Mate 10 Pro.
Mate 10 Pro did not even recognize the smartband, and had the application "Huawei health" and "Huawei mobile services" with the latest update.
I experimented with other equipment and only OnePlus One recognized Band 4.
Band 4 included the firmware version 1.0.0.68, installed the above mentioned applications in the OPO and after pairing the band 4 updated the firmware to 1.0.0.86, with bluetooth improvements.
I unpaired the band 4 of the OPO and only thus the Mate 10 Pro recognized the smartband, and since then to function perfectly
I had same experience.
With Huawei Honor note 10 - no connection.
Than I have tried Lenovo Vibe P1 - no connection.
And luckily with Dooge Mix 2 - I hade connection and after upgraiding of the Honor Band 4 firmware , it starts working.

The device is supporting Portugese, Italian, German and English. Other language/region settings will swiychbthe honor band 4 into English.
What a failure Huawei makes!
So far Huawei is refusing to bring out a firmware upgrade to repair their failure.
according to disclaimer that comes along with the honor band 4 box, only below countries support local language: EN/US, RU, ES, PL, FR, IT and DE. If your phone language is without region(country) setting, and you set one of above 7 lanauges as phone language, the device shows phone language regardless where you are. If not as above, the device shows ENGLISH except China region.
In order to pair the band with phone, you need to download the app, Huawei Health and pair on the app.
My phone's language is not supported by the bracelet, but it switches to chinese instead of english. If I set phone to english - same does the bracelet. Just after I set phone to my native language, bracelet goes back to bloody chinese. Is it solvable, or I should just put it under the hammer?

Anyone know how to do this?
Its kinda annoying you have to scroll down to message when the band vibrate
Works!
Thanks to your tips and workarounds I managed to update the band 4 to newest firmware version 1.0.0.86 with honor 7X smartphone. But my HTC U11 Life still not recognizes the band 4. Health app and services are up to date. My band 3 worked flawlessly.
Don't know what to do now...
Ok, it works. My HTC U11 Life just updated to Android 9.0 (Pie). Seems that the Huawei Health app did not even try to update the devices list. I cleared app cache several times and reinstalled. Today I removed Huawei Health and Health Services from battery optimization. After that the Health app updated devices and recognized Band 4 without troubles.
Glad to have a working Band now... :victory:
Sorry to misuse this topic, but I am looking into buying the Honor Band 4 and have a question...
According to Honor website, the Honor Band 3 supports to track runs using phone's GPS only for iOS and EMUI (Huawei/Honor) devices. I couldn't find any information regarding Band 4. So can you use your GPS for tracking in your Android phone? Additionally, I found conflicting information on music control support. Does this work? Thanks.

I used to track my mountainbike rides with band 3 and also do so with band 4 on HTC phone. It tracks with phone's GPS. I didn't find a way to extract GPS tracks from phone. It's only available for viewing in Huawei Health app with minor statistics e.g. no elevation information...
Music control don't know, sorry...but think it's not possible

One more question:
Is it possible to have heart rate measurements at certain intervals or only continuously?
Thanks!
How good is hear rate rate monitor in this band?
Does Endomondo (and other apps) see it as HRM?
How often does continuous HRM measures hear rate? Is it every 1-2 sec like regular chest HRM, or every 1 minute like "continuous" in Mi Band 3.
Is HRM +- as accurate as chest band? I had Mi Band 2 and it was not accurate at all, like +- 30 beats difference to chest HRM
My poland chest band just stopped working and i wonder if should buy new one or give a try to a smartband , like honor band 4.
My only need from smartwatch/smartband is to display accurate pulse in app and on watch face.

Not with the watch/band itself, but trying to pair it with my current smartphone.
I'm currently using an Elephone P8000 phone. I'm quite happy with it, but now I'm starting to hate it a bit. Last week I received a brand new Huawei Honor Band Zero, a new entry level smartwatch/sports band from the Chinese manufacturer.
The watch pairs in seconds with my prior smartphone, a Xiaomi Redmi 1s, and thanks to that I know it is working, but not with the phone I need it to. First I thought that maybe Huawei Wear, the app used to get data from the watch and set it up lacked support for it, since it's quite new, but today I have recieved an update from Google Play Store and, even if the app added a lot more functionality to users of Honor Band Zero, it's still not working with my P8000.
In fact, I was able to pair them once last week, after trying almost 50 times within a 48 hr. period. But then, the first time I got too far from the phone while wearing the watch, it lost connection and I haven't been able to pair them again.
I've tried everything: latest firmware from Elephone, apps which (falsely) claim to improve Bluetooth, adding the watch as a Smart Lock trusted device, etc. and nothing works. I can pair with the Redmi 1s every time I try, but it always fails with the P8000.
I've noticed that when I turn BT on the Redmi 1s and it pairs with the watch, I can see the watch exposes an input device profile, but that doesn't ever appear on the P8000, so I guess that should give me a clue, but in fact I'm clueless right now. And I like the damn watch and don't want to return it.
Any ideas?
Have you tried wiping the cache/data in the Bluetooth app on the phone... Go to app manager, Bluetooth and wipe. This worked for me with my Sony smartband talk. Just an idea

Yes, I also tried that, and I uninstalled and installed the huawei app too. Nothing helps. Now I'm going to flash the latest phone firmware and check again. Fingers crossed.
Did you tried other roms? I have one p8000 running eragon rom.. I just dont have that device to test on it

I have already tried Eragon 5.5, 5.6 and 5.8. Now I'm on latest stock rom from 11/05, and it doesn't work with any of them. I haven't tried the FlyMe rom yet, since I didn't want to loose the fingerprint sensor functionality.
Still no luck. I've updated Huawei Wear app to the latest version, as well as phone firmware, and nothing seems to work. As I previously said, about two or three weeksago I managed to pair the phone and watch once, but I'm afraid I was just extremely lucky, since that hasn't ever happened again.
Compatability:
It supports Android 4.4.4 / iOS 7.0 or above system. how about your phone?

The phone runs on Android 5.1.1 with Bluetooth 4.0, so it should be supported. And, in fact, it did work once, but just that one and only time.

maybe there are two methods you can try,
1. Reset the watch. If you use it to connect with other phones, reset maybe a nice method to solve this problem.
2. Firmware Upgrade. Huawei should have offer the Firmware.

1. I've already tried resetting the watch several times, both soft and hard reset, and every time it will connect flawlessly with the Xiaomi phone, but not with Elephone P8000.
2. I check everyday for firmware updates when I pair it with the Xiaomi Redmi 1s, since the Huawei Wear app can do it, but there hasn't been any update yet.
Thanks for the suggestions. Now I can only wait for a solution from Elephone or Huawei. I've written to both companies support service email addresses, but I haven't received any answer yet, which is quite frustrating.

yeah. Smart watches get troubles quite a lot.
Mission complete. I can't blame the smartphone this time, but the watch. Yesterday I paired it with my old phone and a firmware update for the watch popped up. Among other things I could see in the changelog that they claimed they had improved the connection algorithm in order to be able to connect to more devices. I applied the update and now the watch and the Elephone P8000 are working together without trouble, and every time I get far from the phone and the watch looses connection, it connects automatically the next time they get close eough.
Hi just to ask i can connect the Honor Band Zero with my phone, it works well very well.
But i can't make it Trusted Device in Smart Unlock. Any idea?
it shows other devices but not this watch in the setting menu.

With Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (KATE), LTE 4G Carrier Aggregation cant working via interband, only intraband available. In Hungary (and many other countries), need CA_3A_7A and CA_3A_20A for proper LTE-A as advertised. (Cat6 4G+) At the moment, only CA_3A_3A, CA_7A_7A and CA_20A_20A available. (for 5/10/20+5/10/20MHz)
I opened a bug report in MIUI forums, please press CONFIRM button to MIUI Developer Team pay more attention to this bug.
With Mi5, a russian guy able to modify NVRAM to use interband CA, at the moment i cant able to do this with my Redmi Note3 pro... Link - use google translate or check here.
Which app you are using to watch those information?
Network Signal Guru
I found NVRAM settings, it seems empty. Still waiting for russian guy to reply.
Confirmed.
Anyone has some hi-res picture from RN3PSE mainboard, without RF shields, or some schematics? Maybe there is some hardware limitation, and LTE category/speed is a false advertised by Xiaomi...
????same problem in iran.cant use 4G+ with redmi note 3 pro.xiaomi support team should solve this problem.
We have this problem in Iran
All Xiaomi phones do not support carrier aggregation b3+b7
i think send feedback to xiaomi support team .perhaps solve this problem in next update.
in iran carrier is b3+b7 too.but this damn phone not support.
how much speed your carrier in your country without 4G+??
in iran without 4G+ 3mB/s download speed.
????
Same problem in France
Envoyé de mon Redmi Note 3 en utilisant Tapatalk
Same with Orange France, no carrier aggregation between bands

I think I have just enabled it by modding NVRAM thanks to the tip pointed out by @wwenigma in the screenshot by replacing it with the values I got for google.
Anyway please do help to verify, is this legit 4G+? All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No. Only 1 carrier. Tested 1,5 month ago. Two things are possible. First, something missing in MODEM and need developers to fix it. Second is worst, hardware problem. Someone need to open the phone case and manually check the RF Switch in the PCB, what they used...very likely they used a cheap 1way switch and not possible to route all needed antenna signal to signal processor (no an2 port). Thats why i try to find hi-res pics from PCB or cad file, wiring diagram, etc. In this case, need hardware modification for LTE-A (bypass RF switch or connect antenna wires before switch.
I made a sheet about NV bits.
For more research i need a notebook to check more information on field with QXDM, OR i need something to process NSG (Network Signal Guru) logs (cant working with my QCAT.. .:/ )
Anyway, please press CONFIRM button in MIUI forum...

We want 4G+ (or LTE-A/LTE+), H+ (HSPA+) is slower than 4G/LTE (without the +).

Hi
I bought a huawei band 2 and have and issue with stabilizng the connetcion. It doesn't connect to original app at all and even if used third party and paired it after 5000 trials it does not stay connected. It dispaires itself and does not repair. More 5000 trials are needed to establish temporary connection.
I used this band with nexus 5 without an issue. I am sure that's the problem with this huawei p8lite soft. Information about soft version in an attachment.
Is there any way to fix this permanently ? Maybe some custom software? I need to mention that if I had to change to CWF(like i do with my phones), everything needs to be working smooth, because it's phone of my GirlFriend. I heard of many issues connected with upgrading soft of this phone like GPS or camera disablity.
Hello.
I've got a problem with my Honor band 5.
After leaving range of my mobile bluetooth, band lost connection.
But the connection won't be reestablihed after return to the range. I have to turn at least locksreen on, to reestablish it.
I think this is uncorrect behavior.
My previous Xiomi band 2 doesn't have problem with this. Even in a car - when enter, I don't have to do nothing and connection to handsfree is established.
My phone is samsung s9.
Where can be a problem?
I have the same problem. The band will only reconnect if you turn on the GPS signal.
Thanks for answer but this doesn't help.
No matter, if GPS is on or off.
I'll try it on another phone, I've got an old ZTE Axon mini here...
EDIT: It ends as same behavior. So issue is not caused by phone, but by band. Or by Huawei health App.
I think it is caused by health app. So I can't do nohing, unless Huawei fix it. Until this - my band is useless.

Do you update it?
Yes, there was an update at the end of the february.
Unfortunattely, it doesnt help.
Now it seems it is samsung issue...
I've tried band with two other phones (ZTE Z17 mini and some old Xiaomi) and band reconnect right after returning to phone range.
On both phones...
And I tried on another Samsung S9 and same problem.
I'm bit confused now.
I use a Samsung S8 and my Huawei band 4 PRO reconnects automatically as soon as I get back to Bluetooth range.

The huawei health app notification must be enabled on the phone.
Hi all,
I bought an honor band 6 (eu version) and found an annoying situation with the gps when intitiating an activity on the band.
If I start the activity on the phone, it records the track on the right way, but that doesnt happen if you start on the band. It keep saying "no gps signal. unable to track route".
It's much comfortable to initiate activity on the band rather than on the phone...
Anyone found a solution?
I am facing this same Problem
Same here for Huawei band 6. Any solution?
Yesterday I got a firmware update but I think the problem persists ...
