Not with the watch/band itself, but trying to pair it with my current smartphone.
I'm currently using an Elephone P8000 phone. I'm quite happy with it, but now I'm starting to hate it a bit. Last week I received a brand new Huawei Honor Band Zero, a new entry level smartwatch/sports band from the Chinese manufacturer.
The watch pairs in seconds with my prior smartphone, a Xiaomi Redmi 1s, and thanks to that I know it is working, but not with the phone I need it to. First I thought that maybe Huawei Wear, the app used to get data from the watch and set it up lacked support for it, since it's quite new, but today I have recieved an update from Google Play Store and, even if the app added a lot more functionality to users of Honor Band Zero, it's still not working with my P8000.
In fact, I was able to pair them once last week, after trying almost 50 times within a 48 hr. period. But then, the first time I got too far from the phone while wearing the watch, it lost connection and I haven't been able to pair them again.
I've tried everything: latest firmware from Elephone, apps which (falsely) claim to improve Bluetooth, adding the watch as a Smart Lock trusted device, etc. and nothing works. I can pair with the Redmi 1s every time I try, but it always fails with the P8000.
I've noticed that when I turn BT on the Redmi 1s and it pairs with the watch, I can see the watch exposes an input device profile, but that doesn't ever appear on the P8000, so I guess that should give me a clue, but in fact I'm clueless right now. And I like the damn watch and don't want to return it.
Any ideas?
Have you tried wiping the cache/data in the Bluetooth app on the phone... Go to app manager, Bluetooth and wipe. This worked for me with my Sony smartband talk. Just an idea

Yes, I also tried that, and I uninstalled and installed the huawei app too. Nothing helps. Now I'm going to flash the latest phone firmware and check again. Fingers crossed.
Did you tried other roms? I have one p8000 running eragon rom.. I just dont have that device to test on it

I have already tried Eragon 5.5, 5.6 and 5.8. Now I'm on latest stock rom from 11/05, and it doesn't work with any of them. I haven't tried the FlyMe rom yet, since I didn't want to loose the fingerprint sensor functionality.
Still no luck. I've updated Huawei Wear app to the latest version, as well as phone firmware, and nothing seems to work. As I previously said, about two or three weeksago I managed to pair the phone and watch once, but I'm afraid I was just extremely lucky, since that hasn't ever happened again.
Compatability:
It supports Android 4.4.4 / iOS 7.0 or above system. how about your phone?

The phone runs on Android 5.1.1 with Bluetooth 4.0, so it should be supported. And, in fact, it did work once, but just that one and only time.

maybe there are two methods you can try,
1. Reset the watch. If you use it to connect with other phones, reset maybe a nice method to solve this problem.
2. Firmware Upgrade. Huawei should have offer the Firmware.

1. I've already tried resetting the watch several times, both soft and hard reset, and every time it will connect flawlessly with the Xiaomi phone, but not with Elephone P8000.
2. I check everyday for firmware updates when I pair it with the Xiaomi Redmi 1s, since the Huawei Wear app can do it, but there hasn't been any update yet.
Thanks for the suggestions. Now I can only wait for a solution from Elephone or Huawei. I've written to both companies support service email addresses, but I haven't received any answer yet, which is quite frustrating.

yeah. Smart watches get troubles quite a lot.
Mission complete. I can't blame the smartphone this time, but the watch. Yesterday I paired it with my old phone and a firmware update for the watch popped up. Among other things I could see in the changelog that they claimed they had improved the connection algorithm in order to be able to connect to more devices. I applied the update and now the watch and the Elephone P8000 are working together without trouble, and every time I get far from the phone and the watch looses connection, it connects automatically the next time they get close eough.
Hi just to ask i can connect the Honor Band Zero with my phone, it works well very well.
But i can't make it Trusted Device in Smart Unlock. Any idea?
it shows other devices but not this watch in the setting menu.
Device Info:
Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 LTE (S7275R) - CyanogenMod 13
Me 2 I have huawei p7 and honor band zero. Why can't I use smart unlock with my phone? Find it ridiculous!

I have a Huawei P8 Lite since 3 months and one day when I wanted to share my 4G mobile data internet via Hotspot(which I do very frequently) it was not detectable in any other device I have. Also when I turn on WiFi it doesn't show any available connection (while in other devices it does show many).
Another question, considering to make a factory reset, the Huawei Backup system app does it backups apps and app data, like savedata and saved games???
Thank you to everyone in advance!!!
I had the same problem (with wi-fi hotspot) on any Lollipop based firmware (tested Play branded B144, B052, B170) - when moved to Android 6.0 beta - problem stopped occuring.

Thank you so very much! I would give more than 1 like if I could!
I'm disturbing you too much I think, but I will ask you for some details:
-The Marshmallow 6.0 BETA Rom it scares me just because of the word "BETA". Is it stable enough? Any big problem? Is it easy after to update to the Final Marshmallow build when it comes out?
-Did you had any problem with WiFi or just with the Hotspot?
-Did you root your phone? I didn't root just because of the possible problems when flashing a Rom or the difficulty of re-locking bootloader.
-About the Huawei Backup app, do you know if it backups the app data/savedata also? And about compatibilities when jumping from Lollipop to Marshmallow?
Thank you and sorry again for disturbing too much! You can answer only to the questions you know.

I'm using european 6.0 BETA (ALE-L21C432B524) and have not rooted the phone (I simply don't see any point in rooting at the moment). Xposed framework if working properly maybe could encourage me to root the phone but since EMUI is not 100% AOSP compatible - I don't see a benefit of using Xposed framework as I cannot predict which module will be working properly.
Going back to the 6.0 beta: System is very stable. I did have some problems in the beginning (I did standard upgrade via local update file). The problems were: callendar entries disappearing at random (and then reappearing), some other glitches with UI, etc - but nothing really bothering. All problems were gone since I made factory reset - so I DO RECOMMEND making factory reset after the upgrade.
Also - to be honest - as for the wi-fi hotspot - I needed this as from time to time I'm working from home and I need to set up VPN to my company each time (my internet provider however does not allow me to set up VPN tunnel). That is why I've tested few days ago if wi-fi hotspot option is working now (as I was unable to make it work on previous firmware) and... voila - it works just fine now And I'm able to work from home without issues.
As for the Huawei Backup - I haven't use this one so I cannot tell if the backup will work, etc (I have made the manual backup of all the data files (Music, Pictures, etc) before the wipe and my mobile is connected all the time with the google account so I didn't bother about making any backups of apps/contacts.
Good things I see in this beta:
- much more battery friendly (dual-sim enabled handset with quite a lot of calls is able to be operational for the whole day on a single charge (on Lollipop it was not possible at all)
- contacts and messaging apps are separated (yeah - I did not like that idea of having one app for everything as in Lollipop based EMUI
- contacts and messaging are not a battery hog now (on LP EMUI 3.1 they consumed 30% of battery each day and it was a pain to replace them with something useful as many apps on the google market just does not support properly dual-sim)
- in general the phone is smoother and feels faster
Bad things:
- lockscreen wallpaper seems to be stretched somehow and if you are making a theme of your own (as I am) - you would need to rebuild lockscreen image (fixed in B574!)
- double-tap problem seems to still exist (the problem when typing quite fast on ANY keyboard - you still get double letters, regardles of "gloves modes on/off" or screen protectors, etc, etc - Huawei support which I contacted - also confirm the problem STILL exists... but don't know WHEN it will be adressed... (fixed in B574!)
Neutral things (may be considered bad but seems to be unrelated of this beta and occur also on older firmwares):
- some software seems to be incompatible (but this also applies to LP based EMUI for this phone) - I had problems with starting up ExaGear Strategies (crashes), Winulator (crashes when starting StarCraft (but it seems to be bug with Winulator and ANY android newer than KitKat), fHeroes2 (colorful artifacts when on the "battle" screen, does not occur on map and on title screen - requires running OLDER version of fHeroes2 (downloadable from authors website and not from Google Play) and selecting 24 bpp color and smooth stretching) (problem with fHeroes2 fixed in the latest fHeroes2 update!)

Thank you very much once again! I really appreciate it! I would buy you a beer or a coffee.
The review of the Marshmallow Rom from you is clear and complete, and right too as you use it in work and me I'm just a student. Now I'm considering seriously to jump to the 6.0 BETA, as it looks more STABLE than BETA.
-Talking about the future and a possibly soon Final build of the Rom, do you think the update to that will be problematic or difficult?
-And you didn't had any problem with WiFi or you don't remember?

Always happy to help anyone (if only I have some free time)
Ad 1. Since I have no information about the official release it is hard to say.
However I see two options - either it would be possible to simply do the local update to the non-beta version or to do the downgrade to Lollipop (as per the official tool which is already available (you can search the XDA issues) and then do the upgrade again.
Ad 2. I'm constantly using wi-fi at home (due to the poor GSM signal) and I did not see any issues so far (I'm using 6.0 for at least month now).
Ok, small correction
I've tried today for at least an hour to create the Wi-Fi hotspot and it failed on 6.0. I've also tried on my fiances ALE-L21 with the same result - it was working for around 30 seconds :/
Previously I've also tried to work with VPN via Wi-Fi hotspot on this 6.0 but I (unfortunately for me) did not test long enough (just tried to connect and to run few company websites ;/

What you may do is to try the following:
- check the compatibility of the device which tries to access the hotspot (you can test by attempting to access the hotspot from another device and vice versa - check this "non working" device by trying to connect to wi-fi via router, another phone's hotspot, etc)
- if the above not working and if you are sure that you are on B574 and you did not make any factory reset after the upgrade - you may try to make factory reset and try afterwards
- you can also try to take the phone to on warranty repair (maybe something is not entirely ok)
As I've mentioned - it is perfectly working for me (I have B574, unmodified stock, without any custom addons and without root), but since it is not working for you - I'd suggest to try the above in the exact order - or maybe someone will come up with another solution.
Hi
Anybody help me with the android auto features .. installed the app and it's not working with my car. I have tried another cable but same issue.. shows the android auto in car screen for just 3 seconds and goes off. It's working with other mobiles.
No body have the issue! or no body tried it??
Unfortunately , i can't help you as i don't have any way of testing Android Auto , sorry.
You can post the problem in the official miui forum, in the Mi Note 2 section.
Also , what version are you using right now ?
I searched your problem to see if it's the phone or other circumstances.
It can be because of your cable.
What cable are you using? The original one?

Thanks for your efforts. I have tried original cable and another one purchased locally. but both are not working. My ROM is MIUI 9 8.2.1 beta. Yeah , i know there is difference in the reception between global and china. You can't really do something about it...
Now the signal problem is killing me.. No range at all in the place where i got signals while using chinese ROM.. Is there any mod to get ride of this issue in global ROM
Got solution... Now changed back to Chinese Dev version.. and restored the gapps using the following link..

Now android auto is working fine.. signal problem solved.
I've had similar issues with my mi4. Since this is a Chinese phone and China and google don't get along, what I did was give permission to everything in Google play services and turned off battery saver for everything google related and for apps I use in Android Auto and the reboot both phone and car system.
Before that I had Android auto crash and my car trying to connect to no avail. Now everything works fine.
Mi4 c running MIUI 10
I have my P8 Lite (2015) updated with original B634, only with bootloade unlocked.
The mobile phone is guaranteed by Huawei until 10/22/2019 (marketing bid in October 2017).
However, in recent days, I'm having difficulties in the speed of wifi (does not exceed 10k / s) when I have the bluetooth activated (for example when I arrive at my house and came with mobile phone connected to the bluetooth of the car).
If I turn off the bluetooth the speed of the wifi normalizes immediately!
Is it a software problem and a reset resolves or will it be a hardware problem to be solved under warranty?
Thank you for your opinion.
Has anyone had this problem?
I have the same problem in 2 phones... I think is hardware problem and is not fixable!
Hello Marcosoft, I have the same problem with wifi when BT is turned on. I've two Huawei P8 Lite ALE21 (2016) and they both have the exact same problem.
I first noticed this issue in December 2017. I’ve tried all kinds of resets but none of them solves this problem.
I’ve send one phone to the service centre for repair , it came back with a new mother board but still the same issue. Send it for the second time to the repair centre , again a board swap , still the same problem. Send it for the third time , today I got it back without a repair , they can’t find any issue , but the issue is still there.
So , at this point I can’t tell you if this is a hardware or a software problem. The only thing I know is that I don’t find a solution for it.

Amazing!!!
I taught that this was a hardware problem, because I had already tested the latest versions of the stock rom (6.0) and all had this problem of wifi speed with bluetooth on (<10k/s or B/s)!
I decided to go back to lollipop!
- ALE-L21_C900B500_Firmware_general_Android5.0_EMUI 3.1_Portuguese
After...
- Huawei_P8 Lite_Dual_Firmware_ALE-L21_Android 5.0_EMUI 3.1_C432B204_West European_Channel-Others
And to my amazement the wifi works at 100% with the bluetooth turned on!!!
Not a hardware problem!
I am 24 hours and without any problem and I have already done several tests!
Tomorrow, I will do the update that is recommend (ALE-L21C432B574 - Android 6.0) and then report here if the problem returns!

I'm really curious about the tests that you will run.
I'm using a costum ROM using android 7.1.2 and I also have the problem .... It is really bad to rollback to android 5 to fix this problem.
Is Huawei aware of this problem on the 6.0 versions?
Deleted.
NEW SOLUTION!
I found the reason for the Wi-Fi problem too slow (or stopping) when Bluetooth is turned on!
The problem is "Your location" from Google Play Services!!!
Until version 11.6.73 (14-09-2017) there is no problem, but from that version, more precisely 11.7.41 (05-10-2017), until today (12.8.74), and in the next versions (13.2 .77 beta), the problem persists.
Will Google solve the problem?
I do not know.
But to solve the problem I found this solution:
Disable GPS-Then go to Settings-Apps-Google Play services-Permissions-Your Location-Location Settings-Disable Access to my location.
From there, you may already have Bluetooth enabled and Wi-Fi will work properly.
However, if you also activate GPS (wf + bt + gps), the Wi-Fi will be very slow again, until you deactivate the GPS again.
It seems that some equipment does not have this problem! If so, good for them, but for those who have this problem, the real reason is already found, and until they solve it (if they solve), we have this solution.
I'm grateful that you also report this error to Google, to see if they fix it.
It does improve the performance just a little, I have a Huaweii Y6 II and when I'm watching a video on youtube, the video is still buffering, but before that solution you just give me, it wouldn't load at all.
Hi
I bought a huawei band 2 and have and issue with stabilizng the connetcion. It doesn't connect to original app at all and even if used third party and paired it after 5000 trials it does not stay connected. It dispaires itself and does not repair. More 5000 trials are needed to establish temporary connection.
I used this band with nexus 5 without an issue. I am sure that's the problem with this huawei p8lite soft. Information about soft version in an attachment.
Is there any way to fix this permanently ? Maybe some custom software? I need to mention that if I had to change to CWF(like i do with my phones), everything needs to be working smooth, because it's phone of my GirlFriend. I heard of many issues connected with upgrading soft of this phone like GPS or camera disablity.
Hello.
I've got a problem with my Honor band 5.
After leaving range of my mobile bluetooth, band lost connection.
But the connection won't be reestablihed after return to the range. I have to turn at least locksreen on, to reestablish it.
I think this is uncorrect behavior.
My previous Xiomi band 2 doesn't have problem with this. Even in a car - when enter, I don't have to do nothing and connection to handsfree is established.
My phone is samsung s9.
Where can be a problem?
I have the same problem. The band will only reconnect if you turn on the GPS signal.
Thanks for answer but this doesn't help.
No matter, if GPS is on or off.
I'll try it on another phone, I've got an old ZTE Axon mini here...
EDIT: It ends as same behavior. So issue is not caused by phone, but by band. Or by Huawei health App.
I think it is caused by health app. So I can't do nohing, unless Huawei fix it. Until this - my band is useless.

Thanks for answer but this doesn't help.
No matter, if GPS is on or off.

Do you update it?
Yes, there was an update at the end of the february.
Unfortunattely, it doesnt help.
Now it seems it is samsung issue...
I've tried band with two other phones (ZTE Z17 mini and some old Xiaomi) and band reconnect right after returning to phone range.
On both phones...
And I tried on another Samsung S9 and same problem.
I'm bit confused now.
I use a Samsung S8 and my Huawei band 4 PRO reconnects automatically as soon as I get back to Bluetooth range.
