Hello,
this is my problem: as you can see from the screenshot attached at the end of this post, sometimes my phone displays this error: Errore:java.lang.RuntimeException: Package manager has died
it happens not often and random.
everything seems work fine, I don't see any applications crash, and the message goes away after some seconds.
my phone is rooted, with xposed, greenify, afwall+ and adaway installed.
I noticed it started happens about 2 days after I have installed afwall+ and adaway, but I don't know if it's related.
could anybody help?
thanks in advance.

I have been having issues with "Context Service has stopped" force closes since rerooting my S5 on NCG and flashing to NE9 the other day. I have kept thinking I have found fix after fix, and finally last night I rebooted my phone a good 30 times in the process of figuring out what Xposed module was causing my problem, and I finally definitively found it: too many modules. If I download more than 7 Xposed modules, my phone automatically begins to get the Context Service FC as soon as the phone boots and after every call I make or receive. I am now using Greenify, the app that I thought was the root of the problem, without issue. I had Xposed Torch installed last night and it was working fine after several reboots. Then I tried to install another module, Xtoast, I had already tested to not be my issue. Sure enough, the addition of that eighth module, XToast, caused the Force close issue on reboot and it stayed on subsequent reboots. Uninstalled Xposed Torch and the issue is gone. Why would there be a 7 module limit to what I can install on Xposed without it giving me that error and is there anything I can do to fix it so I can load up the rest of the modules I typically run?
Interesting. I have nine modules going on my S4 w/ no problems.

OOPS ... I thought I was in the S5 forum ...
I think his point was that he is able to run 9 modules without trouble..... and just for the record, I'm running 10 on my s5 (verizon) without issue.... Try uninstalling exposed and then reinstall using wanam in the Playstore (most of your modules will still be on your phone when you reinstall exposed)... Goodluck

A couple of weeks ago i rooted my phone and it was all good, i installed Adaway, Camera sound off, uninstall and titanium backup. But then my phone started lagging, every few minutes my phone just laggs.
It doesnt matter what app i'm in or how many apps i've opened, the screen just laggs and the touchscreen doesnt respond for a few seconds and then it stops and returns in a few minutes.
Any ideas what may cause this?
*edit*
I also installed xposed and the extended snappchat module
(i have the sm-n910f)

Did you install xPosed? Some people have reported lagging when using xPosed on their Note 4's.

There are thread here where the solution to this problem is solved. It has once happened to me and I already fix it but I didn't remember which of the thread. You need to just search the forum, am sure your phone will be fine

HI ,
i also have N910F ,rooted , xposed etc . i found that the lag was caused by xposed .
I followed this post #22 and post #32 re , " angelky " advice and the lag was sorted out ..my Shealth is working fine and private mode( which gets broken with root, is working) ( wanam /settings Security hacks then tick Disable Secure Storage.)

good luck
I have flashed the MM Rom by eskamhl. It works very well, until recently: I have had 4 random reboots since yesterday. It seems that the Xposed/donation features of Greenify are at fault: yesterday after a reboot, I disabled all the Xposed/donation features, everything works well. I re-enabled all features that require Xposed and "GCM push for greenified apps", it rebooted after a few minutes. But I cannot know for sure. I have attached error level Logcat here, maybe someone could help me to identify the problem?
Thanks!

Xposed is still not properly compatible with Marshmallow. Seems like greenify is at fault. Start getting features on one by one.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I also found some info on greenify's "GCM push for greenified apps" that have caused reboot for other people. http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/greenify/greenify-xposed-marshmallow-t3249362
Turned this function off and will see if it will happen again.
I am rooted with magisk and have TWRP installed on my OnePlus6T running OOS 10.3.1.
I recently noticed that im suddenly not able to open Gallery and Pokemon Go because it closes immediately and a notice saying "Permission Controller Keeps Stopping" shows up.
What is wrong with my phone and how can I fix it?
Please help me out
edit: I might be thinking it is because of Swift Installer. But even when I uninstalled every theme, It still shows the error for apps which requires permissions.
Hello XDA community,
I recently purchased the Nothing Phone 1 running on the latest version of Android 13. After rooting my phone using Magisk, I installed several Magisk modules which worked fine initially.
Here's a list of Magisk modules that I installed in chronological order:
Font Manager
NotoCJK
Fullscreen/Immersive Gesture
G-visual (later closed as I didn't see any effect)
Shamiko
DRM disabler
Revanced Youtube
Webview Manager (replaced with ungoogle chromium)
Nexus Media Before installing the 10th module, I took a full backup of my device using Titanium Backup. However, during the backup process, it got stuck while backing up a file named "Media 13-9427200." After several attempts, I had to cancel the backup for this file to complete the backup process.
Pix3lify (failed to unpack boot image and finally used slim mode)
Safetynet fix
After installing the 11th module, I went to bed and installed several applications before sleeping, such as Kiwi, Shizuku, App Ops, Buzzkill, Automate, Vmos, Brevent, and Greenify.
12.Audio Modification Library
13.Ainur Narsil
After installing the 13th module, I noticed that my phone started behaving abnormally, and it would automatically reboot. Every time I start the phone, the interface freezes after two minutes, and it restarts automatically after several seconds. This scared me, so I uninstalled all the Magisk modules and applications installed after the 11th module and disabled the two audio modules, but it didn't seem to work. So, I turned off the phone for a few hours, and it seemed to work fine after that.
When I tried to log in to my Reddit account, I found that I couldn't use "Continue with Google." When I went to the Google section in Settings, I found that I couldn't open it either.
I searched for solutions online and found that the problem might be due to the Webview. I replaced it with Ungoogle chromium and downloaded the latest version of Android Webview from the Play Store and disabled WebView Manager. But nothing worked. I tried updating the Carrier Services and clearing the Google Service's cache, but it didn't work either. (All Google apps can be opened and used normally.)
After updating the WebView, things got worse. I use a third-party launcher called Smart Launcher, and I have many customized app icons. I found that all customized app icons no longer work, only the native icons can open the app.
I am really frustrated and everything seems out of my control. I decided to restore all the data from the backup I made last night using Titanium Backup (in snap mode). Unfortunately, after the restore was complete and I restarted the phone, I found that my phone was bricked. I can see the boot animation and select the launcher, but once I choose the launcher, the screen goes black, and I cannot do anything. I am also unable to enter Safe Mode as it keeps restarting.
At the same time, I used a software control my phone. I can see NOTHING in sdcard.
What can I do? Is there any way to fix my phone and preserve my data? If not, I am willing to wipe all my data. Also, if I restore my phone to factory settings, can I still use the backup data I made with Titanium Backup?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Additionally, please find attached a screenshot of the only interface I can see on my phone after booting up.
Seems you've broken lot of system apks , clearly Nothing Launcher is first . See if you have a intact bootloader and use fastboot commands to flash the launcher but I'm quite sure there many culprits in system .
So maybe short way is to flash entirely system image shown here in one of all threads about phone unbrick
