After the upgrade to Lollipop on my Yoga 2 830, I'm noticing that the wifi gets no internet access even while connected every so often. I have to turn off and turn back on the wifi for it to reconnect. Is anyone else having this issue? I don't have any issues w/ any of my other devices connected to wifi.
I'm not on static IP, no issues with the router. I didn't have any issues on kitkat. Please share if you also have this issue. Thanks.

Hello!
Did you try connecting your device to another wifi network to see if the problem persists?
I have noticed something similar happening with my Xperia Z ultra after it upgraded to lollipop. I realised that it was happening only on the older wifi routers (I use an ancient Linksys WRT54G), but seems to have no problem with the newer ones.
Changing the channel of your wifi router might help alleviate the problem. I am not certain if it would work in your case, but if you do not have another router handy, this just might do the trick. If you are looking to change the channel, an easy guide is available here.
I hope this helps
I've got a Netgear AC1900 nighthawk with a netgear ex6200 range extender. The tablet is primarily connected to the 5ghz band on the nighthawk. I do have other routers but they are older. I might have to try to take it to work and see if I lose internet access.
I've changed the bands around and it does help. I've rebooted the router, rebooted the tablet, forgotten the wifi and so on. It's still happening after some time. By the looks of it, there are others that have experienced this on other devices. I haven't done a factory reset. I would prefer not have to go through the setup again.

now i solve my problem by using static IP and yes i know the problem is router not the device
Mine for the last couple days keeps failing on obtaining IP address. Happens at both work and home Wifi so I'm confident it's the phone itself.
Edit: It may be since the security update last week.
Edit2: I'm an idiot. Troubleshooting 101: Reboot the device. All good.

I got my 6P yesterday and it worked perfect until I put the new security update on this afternoon and it stops connecting to WiFi!
I'm having a problem with wifi.. after using hotspot I can't turn on wifi. The one way to fix is to reboot. Anyone having the same problem? I'm on latest build.
works for me
I m on build N2G47H.7.10.30 and the wifi issue after using a1 as hotspot as you said is not happening with me.
I'm on build N2G47H.7.12.7 and I am having the same problem.
Also, wifi often turns itself off.
Same problem...
I'm not facing this issue on the latest build (N2G47H.7.12.9), remember that when you enable the WiFi hotspot a pop-up clearly say that you can't turn on the WiFi while it is active.
i have the same problem after FACTORY RESET, did you guy fix it? I can not connect anything without wifi.
I am facing an issue that my WiFi doens't scan nearby networks.
In my WiFi. It disconnects automatically and then on reconnecting it shows no internet access.
Many times it's not able to connect to a network just saved comes and then WiFi shows to be disabled

It's WiFi bug comes with pie update, contact service centre nearby & ask them to downgrade to Oreo..... they will do it.
I'm really getting disappointed with Nokia day by day. I expected so much. Now I'm seeing stupid issues, like the primary mic not working, and people having wifi bugs. I mean I spent my hard earned money buying this phone, for it to f**k me over in this fashion. They release updates, but they don't do anything about fixing bugs.

Same with me. Never experienced wifi issues.
I'm also facing the same issue now from last 2 days. Any other fix available for this? Other than factory reset or downgrade. Also the restart option doesn't seem to work for me everytime.
Works with other hotspots

I tried using hotspots from my friends and it seems to be working for some reason. No delay in connecting, doesn't get disconnected automatically, doesn't shows no internet. All working fine. Now the question is why with my router at home? Has anyone here tried resetting their routers? Also, are there any compatibility issues going on, if yes then maybe our phone no longer supports old gen routers.
