[REQ] improve panorama mode quality

i've noticed that the stock camera app gives too much compression to the file. is possible to improve it? i know that are available other panorama apps, but now i'm just referring to the stock ICS app
I'm also interested in this.

Don't like Google Camera App??

As we all know nexus 6p has excellent camera hardware, but I am not satisfied with camera app with no functionality and sluggish.
Please recommend the best camera app you guys using.
I'm using the Sense camera, love it

I'm digging the moto x pure camera...allows you to touch anywhere to take a shot.

I got bad performance and quality from it.
From where did you get it? Maybe some ports are better than others.
The Moto camera is good also, but I like the features on the Sense camera the best. I'm just using the camera from the play store, but to do so I'm using the Sensify Xposed module. I sometimes use camera360, but have also started to mess around with ProShot. But the HTC camera is my go to camera always.

I use Proshot if I ever want to use manual, but haven't had to use it lately.

Camera FV-5 is also a great Camera App, I wish there were a way to make the Color OS Camera work with the n6p

Proshot or the stock camera for me
Thank you guys.. I will give Proshot a try..
I was using camera Fv-5
but all of a sudden it stopped auto focusing. That's bad. I'm on latest PureNexus ROM.
I like the stock camera, ProShot and Manual Camera the best. The Sense camera was my all time favorite, but I've had some reliability issues with it in the past on non HTC phones (even using the xposed hack)
Too bad third party apps like proshot can't do HDR.

Pixel camera app apk

Has anyone had experience of this? Has it improved camera quality?
Has the EIS improved?

You should probably ask that here [Flashable Zip] Want To use Latest Google Camera from Pixel XL (7.1) on N6P 7.0 ?

Anyone tried Pixel Launcher?

I know that Essential launcher doesn't look too different form Pixel launcher, but I like the operation of Pixel 2 launcher. I do believe either the launcher on Pixel phones have smoother transition/animation effect or Google optimized the phone's OS differently. On Essential all this transition animation is too jumpy, windows open fast and as if all the effects are turned off in the Dev options. I have Pixel 2 in my hands and although the UI is similar to the Essential phone, still Pixel's UI feels much nicer, better and smoother - premium feel.
I sent my Essential back(QA issues), will soon re-buy it again, but in the meantime wanted to find out if anyone has tried installing Pixel 2 Launcher on Essential.
Using the actual Pixel launcher requires root. However, one of the people on xda has written a version based on AOSP that doesn't require root. I used it on a Nexus 6 for about a year and have been using the latest version on Essential with 7.1.1 for the past two months with no issues. It's bit nicer than the AOSP that comes on the Essential.

I am using the Pixel 2 launcher. It requires no root: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/papho...auncher-mod-8-1-0-4348501-modded-3-1-release/
Also would recommend the Pixel 2 wallpaper: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/prana...port-8-1-0-pp-6-0-arm64-android-apk-download/
Just try them out and see yourself

My bad! I think the integration with the weather on the Google “pill” is what requires root. Does it display the weather for you?

I downloaded those 2 files and when I try to change the wallpaper, I get "app isn't installed".
Anybody else has this issue?

Download the "wallpaper" app from the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.wallpaper
Some say the wallpaper app needs to be installed before the launcher in order for the link to work but I did it after and it worked fine for me after a reboot.

Which rom? The stock camera quality on OxygenOS is very good compared to other phones, just have a look at the xda review section within op5 sub forum m
I am also said about Oxygen OS 9.0.5
In Oxygen OS Oreo there was a magisk module and camera app name call "Camera M" can developer build camera M for Oxygen OS pie

I advise you to use GCAM, as it'll greatly improve your overall experience with the camera.
Thanks for suggestion bro for GCAM but I don't want to root my phone because GCAM fully work with rooted device and without root not working properly, GCAM best work with magisk module.

I've tried many port and mod, stock camera on pro mode gives really nice result.
Also, with RAW picture you can do magic with snapseed, this app is very very powerful.
However, GCam is all the software that made the Pixel's reputation for picture quality.
No root, no Gcam  :silly:
gcam will work fine on non-rooted devices, just dot in the image (not very noticeable for 97% of intagramers, and selfie wont do much better)
