Hi all,
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4. When I put my Sim Card in, it was recognized and asked for my PIN. However, whenever i entered my PIN and clicked enter, the PIN field would just clear again and nothing would happen. After I put my Sim Card in another phone and removed my PIN, it worked without a problem on the Galaxy. Is this a known problem? How can I solve it?
Thanks in advance

Is there any solution to start a magician without inserting the pin code.
(it mean that I have another solution to protect it)
Thanks
gguyaz: do you mean SIM card pin or password pin.
Sim card pin - diable the sim card pin in phone settings I believe.
Password PIN, disable the password in Settings.
If there's another issue, there is another thread on this that asked a similar question some months ago.

Or try Omega One Pass, it allows you to use the hardware buttons instead of the pin.

Also with PockenZenPhone can do this
Hi,
Ill say thanks in advance to help on this question.
I was wondering if anyone knows of an app that would request a code if the sim card was changed in the diamond.
i remember when i had a nokia there was an option to have a sim lock, you entered a passcode and that was it, however if the sim is changed the phone would firstly request the Device/Sim lock, then request the PIN
I cant remember seeing a setting anywhere on my device as it is, and when i searched sim lock on the forum it didnt bring up anything relevant!!
thanks
Hi,
i have a Samsung Galaxy I-9000 with CyanogenMod 10.1.
From some days i get this:
- powering on or rebooting the phone on battery i get no SIM detection (while it's in): no sim installed, unknown service etc
- after i plug in the power or USB cable the phone recognize the SIM and asks me immediately to insert PIN to unlock it.
what's that?!
thank you
hi,
Must be a Short-Circuit (more oxidized connection / circuit), look around the sim reader.

Try buying a new SIM reader (should be cheap) and installing it yourself. It's not difficult, I promise.
I got a Motorola Charm yesterday and hard reset it. Now when i turn on the phone its asking me to insert an active sim. Can someone tell me how to bypass this screen and get to motoblur signup screen?
your sim is no active,change
So, I am very ignorant regarding cellphones, so I hope someone around here can help me out. I have a rooted Samsung S4 GT-I9500 that I bought in Guatemala from Claro company. I moved to Africa to work, so for me to be able to use my phone I bought an unlock code that worked just perfectly. My phone got sim unlocked and I was able to use it for several months until recently. One night my phone ran out of battery, so I plugged it to the charger and charged it all night [turned off]. Next morning when I turned the phone on, the phone was sim locked again and my sim card was not recognizable at all. the following message appears
"PIN to unlock SIM service provider"...when I click dismiss and scroll down the upper tab it says "Invalid SIM card...Network locked SIM card inserted".....
I tried reentering the unlocking code that I previously bought but with no success. I tried factory resetting and reentering the code, also no success. I also inserted my old Claro Guatemalan Sim Card and it is also not recognized by the phone. Does anyone have any clue or suggestions about what it could be and what I can do about it? Please make the explanations "for dummies" since as I said before, I am not that good with cellphone stuff. Thanks for your help.

Hello dollagaray,
I´m having the exact same issue. Did you find any way of solving it? I have flashed several firmwares and modems but nothing would unlock the phone again.
Thanks in advance!

I had this issue and ended up replacing the SIM card tray.
