I wanted to know if it is possible to port the stock face unlock service from the stock ui in our zenfone max pro m1 for other oreo roms the way we did for our camera. If yes i also request a developer to kindly do so and share the flashable zip along with instructions on how to install. Thanks

But there already is face unlock on every rom.
You can find it in security settings in smart lock options.
It is named as trusted face in smart lock.
Yes but i personally feel the stock face unlock is smoother than the trusted face offered by google and would prefer to use that...

If you want your phone to unlock as soon as you look at it you could use the face auto unlock setting.
For me the google face unlock is beeter than stock... Stock is inaccurate, it didn't always open.

I am using pixys os with stock kernel.
Charging speed is between 1800-2000 mA
Takes 2.5-3 hrs to go from 0-100%
Already there. No need.

yes the front camera from the nexus s is too weak for that feature
you can use custom ROM if you want that feature
but sometimes it doesn't work properly
Not to mention it's fairly insecure: often times a photo of the face will suffice to unlock the phone...
if you want it flash your normal gaps then the facelock one from Jan

I did this to my friends Galaxy nexus
he was trying facelock, i snapped a pic, and it worked instantly just by holding MY phone with his picture up to it lol.

when it comes, it does not work reliably. better get the 'big' nexus for this
I tried flashing it manually on the Nexus S, and it worked (pretty bad, in fact).
I tried to improve the recognition via the menu (10-15 times in a row), and all I got was a bootloop (I had to wipe all and reflash ROM to get my phone back to normal)...
Simply put... don't do it

Just put a file called .forcefaceunlock in the root off the storage before flashing latest gapps and there you go!

I have been using the LG G Pro Lite for a few days and I loved the knock on unlock feature.. anyway to port it on the galaxy S5?

Knock ON is included in KToonSez' kernel. Knock Code isn't.

apparently not, no wakelock needed
I had an LG G3 before my S5 which also has the knock knock code. Didn't cause any battery drain.
It's no where near as stable as it is on the LG G2/LG G3. At least not for me.
Android L includes double tap to wake feature, so let's hope Samsung doesn't delete it in their update.
I am using air unlock since 3 months and found it quite good. No big battery drain and does not unlock in your pocket. Remember, in order to use air unlock, the phone have to be immobilized.

Check out the full Android L feature list. It's there.
1. Screen brightness under sunlight: the S6 was a lot brighter thanks to a special setting enhancing colors, the Nexus is barely readable.
2. Camera software: S6 wins hands down here, on Nexus don't even have exposure compensation.
3. Headphones volume: Nexus is too low.
4. Notification sounds with headphones: the S6 was ringing from main speaker, the Nexus barely emits a sound in headphones, so you may miss notification when headphones are plugged in but non on your hear.

1. I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.hbmwidget but you need to be rooted. Got root?
2. I find HDR+ to be okay with exposure but I'm not a big camera type of person.
3. Can't really comment.

Not rooted yet, waiting for Android N
U should root your phone.. after that with the apk https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.hbmwidget and a custom Kernel u will have a bettern one than ur s6
PS: I don't get why u r waiting "n"
OK will root.
Just wanted to wait to upgrade to N to avoid upgrade problems
There's a tut for headphone volume.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/boost-headset-volume-t3237661/page2
Also there is a free app that gets used with elementalx kernel that works great for brightness and can be found here.

As stated in previous post, you will need root for both.

I read that as only being a fix for rooted phones and I'm all aboyt the flashing stuff, so I can see how he could have thought so as well/ assumed it wouldn't be of any help in his case/ didn't bother to click the link.
That being said, I have no clue why someone would not root their 6p when it would solve 3/4 of the things they dislike about it. It's like a ten minute process max and is utterly devoid of risk or effort lol
I am rooted now.
I installed the widget.
When I run it says I am not rooted.

I don't believe so but High Brightness Mode widget is one of the main reasons I have root and the only reason I run a custom kernel.
And the widget works as advertised.
I use ElementalX with Tasker to achieve high brightness mode. Don't need the widget.

I dont have a comparison but i use HBM and its essential for me to see the screen in sunlight.
Also theres a nifty tasker tutorial somewhere on xda i used and it automatically triggers HBM when light reaches a certain point. Do a search if youre interested. If you cant find it let me know and Ill see if i can find it. More convenient than a widget and it doesnt add clutter.
Found it

There’s a fair amount of development, don’t get it if you don’t intend to ROM it. Leeco has turned off their account and OTA servers for the stock ROM. Their stock ROM is the worst thing to grace Android in a long time, unless you love Leeco’s media streaming “Chinese Netflix” service,

It's not the easiest thing to do with the 727- took me a lot of coaxing through ADB to get my zips over to the phone; my computer wasnt recognizing it as a storage device in TWRP
In my opinion, LeEco Stock ROM 26s isn't that bad at all. Once rooted and debloated you got a ROM where everything works fine, fast and stable. Antutu benchmark around 164000, and if you don't like the LeEco streaming stuff you only have to install another launcher. Sure it would be nice to have a nougat ROM, but so far there is no custom ROM where all features works as they should. And for that reason I'm back again on stock, still satisfied by my LePro 3. Not to forget, it's still state of the art, almost one year after its first release!

Everything works on Paranoid 7.3.1 - I have it installed on my 2 Leeco x727 devices and will probably put it or the Omni rom on the two Leeco Le 2 phones that I bought for my kids.
Just unlock the bootloader and everything else is is a piece of cake.
Also use magisk for root so you have no issues with safety net.
In the end, If you don't like something you can always put stock or whatever you want to try on it.
Btw, stock once updated to 5.8.21s isn't that bad, once you have installed a better launcher such as Smart Launcher Pro. Maybe just stick with it for a while until you get bored and want to try something else.

I put mine in a holster, not my pocket. Also, less battery degradation that way; your pocket has a hot temperature, which increases battery degradation.

That's strange, mine was already on the phone. Here's a link for the case that I use.

it's study, and very protective. The belt clip part covers the face of the phone
A lot the cases for these phones are a little too thin.
Here's is a good screen protector if you don't mind the color.

btw my is really slow right ?
i found one funny issue with my pie control, if i open pie control in any screen other than home screen, it work perfectly but in home screen it take few second to load, any one have idea what it cause ?
I am actually taking back my recommendation on this app...
more than once I have had it kind of "take over" my screen.
What I mean is, any touch on my screen is attempting to touch something in PIE control (and not actually graphically showing PIE control, btw).
you effectively can't do anything at that point.
Its been a few days since I stopped using it, but I really did pretty exhaustively try to figure out how to stop this.
I really liked this app's "swipe" method instead of pulling the PIE out and having to like hold on a button for a quick sec, this app lets you do it in a smooth swiping motion.
Anyways, ive given up and gone back to onscreen navigation keys.
Every method I have tried (including XDA's navigation) has had some small hangups that eventually have problems working.
And no I haven't reported errors and such in respective threads, I just give up because my "lots of effort into having a hacky phone" days are behind me
