[GUI] Fire Downgrader Utility - with integrated file hash checker & ADB - Fire General

Fire Downgrader Utility - R1 29.09.2018
A small tool to downgrade your Fire tablet easily. Tested on my Fire 7, 5th generation.
Here is a small tool I wrote for downgrading your Fire tablet. It has a integrated file hash checker (for firmware versions 5.4.0 and below) and ADB. Just select the firmware file, hash the file if you want (recommended), then connect your Fire tablet (with ADB enabled on your tablet). Anything else is explained in the program.
It also has links to the firmware downloads and the downgradeable versions. I hope it's easy to use for you.
Tested on my Fire 7, 5th gen (2015). Everything worked (downgrade from 5.4.0 to 5.3.2.1) - feedback and bug reports are appreciated. I am also developing on a small GUI application for installing APKs from your computer, remove ads, and more.
Detailed Instructions:
1. Enable ADB on your device by going into developer settings and check "Enable ADB".
2. Start the program, and select the firmware file you wanna downgrade to.
3. Recommended, but not needed: click on the box with the text "Ready. You can continue without hashing [...]" if you want to check the file hash. The program will automatically do it for you.
4. Click on "Update device list" - your tablet should prompt you a message asking if you want to allow the connection to your PC via ADB. Check "Always allow for this computer" and click on "Update device list" again. Your tablet's device ID should be there. If it is, continue.
5. Click on "Reboot to recovery". Your tablet will now reboot into recovery.
6. When into recovery, select "Apply update from ADB". Then, click on "Update device list again", your tablet's ID should be there, and next to it "sideload". If it is, proceed to step 7.
7. Click on "Downgrade!" - and wait! When it's done, press F1 to disable the input lock.

Requirements: .NET Framework 4, maybe ADB drivers (I didn't need any on Windows 10) - and a Fire tablet.
Tips: press F4 to kill the ADB server and restart it. Press F1 after downgrading to disable the input lock.

Also small note, I didn't try upgrading but to be honest, who even wants to upgrade?

I do not understand what you mean. You say you do not want to update the tool? Or that you do not want to add an option to update the firmware in the tool?

I will update this tool, but I said I didn't try upgrading the firmware of the tablet with this (aka selecting a newer firmware file and updating it) but probably nobody wants to since you can't uninstall bloat in the newer firmwares. It should work tho.
I'm planning and working on a integrated firmware downloader - works already.

Downgrade or upgrade. But as I said probably nobody wants to upgrade their tablet firmware so I just called it a downgrader.

Only work with Windows?
Any chance this would work with Linux? Got adb working but you mention Net. Is that Win only? Also did you start at 5.4 or downgrade from higher?
Thanks

I'm afraid it's only for windows but you can try it using wine.
I went down from 5.6.1.0 to 5.4.0 and everything worked correctly.

5th gen fire 7. I can open the prog in Wine but when I select a bin file adb gives an error. No idea if it will work with Lx Mint's adb or I have to use Windows version and how to do that. Device was recognised by Mint's adb.

Could work using Wine, try installing that, then .NET Framework. I don't know if ADB works with Linux tho.

Yep. I would suggest 2 things. Get the uid, then flash a full update rom to 3.2. Then ota it to ics. Am mobile now, so you get the ball maverick!
Those demo roms are missing half the stuff. Not sure whether he has ext sd card access. Might have to euu him. Hence uid.

Hi, thank you all for your replies I am still having a hard time fully understanding everything like I said I am new to android. What I do know is it doesnt have google play which is my main concern. Kernel version 2.6.36.3 if that helps anyone its not bricked, I wouldnt mind flashing it if that would fix the problem and make it like a normal tablet version. Whats a UID? Where do I find it? Thanks again for your help

Well we will try and keep things simple for you, which isn't easy with this particular android device but the very first thing you should do is to retrieve your CPUID. This is imperative. If anything ever goes wrong this CPUID is needed to help you unbrick.
First we need to set up your PC to be able to communicate with your tab, so we need some drivers. This whole process works best with win7/vista/xp so if you are doing this on win8 you may have some issues. In saying that, if you're a Linux user, then thats even better, so please say if you are we can bypass a heap of stuff!!!
Head over to Acer Support and download the Acer drivers here Run the .exe to install
Download the usb drivers from here extract to a folder on your PC (desktop).
Once your drivers are installed check they are installed correctly.
1. Grab your micro usb cable and hook your tab to your PC (u should hear windows make the new hardware connected sound. Then you should see the 'new hardware wizard' attemp to install the Acer Drivers. Hopefully everything should install correctly.
2. Now on to test the usb/adb drivers. The files you extracted to your desktop. We aren't going to do anything as such with these, they just need to be on your system somewhere.
So, when you are ready.....right click the extracted folder (hold down shift key at the same time) You should see the context menu with an option to
"Open command window here..."
3. When the command opens type the following with no quote marks:
"adb devices" and then press enter.
4. You should see "List of devices attached....and a series of numbers/letters here like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
this is your magical CPUID! and it should have 15 characters - write this number down and guard it with your life!!!
5. If you don't see this window, it means your PC does not 'see' your tab.
Try a different micro usb cable and make sure the cable is firmly connected, try a different usb port on your PC.
Well, thats your first lesson of the day
Once the drivers are setup correctly, we can move on to getting your tab upgraded into some ICS/Jellybean goodness!
Good luck with lesson 1, ya got any probs or u don't understand something, just ask
dibb
Can all this be done on a mac? If not its fine I can borrow a friends laptop.

Not that I am aware of. Gonna need a PC with windows XP or 7. Mainly because most of the apps we use are windows based. And I wouldn't trust a windows emulator. Also, acer drivers install is windows based.
Do you have access to your external SD card? Will need to know.
The demo unit is the same as a regular 500. All the same hardware. The difference is the ROM they install. If you have access to your external SD card, it will make the process a little easier. Basically just put a full update rom on it, and reboot it via recovery.
But.... UID number we must have, just in case things go south as dibb said.
So check access to external sd card. You can do this by going to Settings>Storage and check.
Don't worry, we've done a couple of demo units in the past.
Mac's.....pffffttttt.....

I told you we have dealt with Demo units in the past.
Go to;

You;ll need to read the posts....
Install the old Iconiaroot apk
Install Acer Recovery and let it install a CWM (custom recovery). Probably the oldest version.
After it's done, Flash a version 3.1 ROM
Let it OTA all the way to ICS
This of course is just another option. This is the old original way before version 3.2.

Well, that figures..demo unit... EUU time.
Basically, you are going to need a windows PC with the acer drivers installed. The whole process will take about an hour, so make sure your tablet is charged fully.
Get the following files;
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1816560 scroll down to the EUU, and click the box "show content". Select the torrentz file. Yes, it's torrentz, so you will need a torrentz app installed on the PC. If you don't want to deal with torrentz, let me know, and I'll check my drives nd see if I have the package.
2. go here;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1624645
Go to the bottom, and download the "usbdeview". There are 2. 1 for 32 bit windows, and 1 for 64 bit windows.
Extract both of those above packages to a folder on your pc.
Now, make sure on your tablet, you have USB Debugging set to ON (look in your System Settings, as I can't remember exactly where on HC 3.0). Connect yer tablet to PC and make sure you have no errors. If everything is good, unplug, and plug it back in a few times just to be sure.
Now, with tab connected, run the USBdeview app you extracted. Should give you a long set of numbers and letters. Write them down, or save in Notepad. This is your UID. You can close the app
Next, with tab still connected, run the EUU executable you extracted. Just follow the steps exactly as they say. This may take awhile. It'll probably ask for that UID number at some point.
When it's all finished, you should have to restart the tab, and the first boot will be somewhat long (10+ minutes or so). But it should boot into a fully working 3.0 HC. Which is crap by the way . You'll need to OTA, or contact us for advice.
Good luck.
MD

try this EUU it will upgrade you to HC3.2.1 - its pre-rooted and will give you a custom recovery as well. Theres a readme with instructions included in the zip. As with any EUU you will need your cpuid to use it but usbdeview is also in there.
while you are waiting for this to download try rooting your current rom with this then install this .apk and you will be able to install a custom recovery. Once you are in recovery, the main screen will display yr cpuid too.

At first let's begin with the ROM - download itself. There are different versions of those tablets, so choose wisely
I'll post only the Android 4.2.2 versions of the rooms, if you want, you can update them by yourself with the OTA. It is because at the moment you can root the JB - version more easily. (FRAMAROOT for 4.2.2 Jelly Bean versions only!!)
You have to register on this forum for download - permissions!!

for download click on the green button on the top right side:
1. Drivers
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Now, whyle you are downloading the ROM, lets look at the drivers you'll need.
At first you need Lenovo USB Driver [from this site] version 1.00.11. 9,28mb
Next step youl need some other drivers and tools:
Driver for USB "download mode" [download it, unzip and place it on your desktop.
SP Flash Tool Driver Auto Installer [9,49mb] - works only with Windows ХР SP2, Windows Vista, Windows 7.
for installing unsigned drives on Windows 8, follow the guide below:
Get access to Startup Options: HOWTO - Method 2 is the easiest way for me
Once you are there (After a restart) you have to choose number 7 (Disable driver signature enforcement)
When you install unsigned driver after it, windows is allways asking you this:
- install this driver anyway
2. Install the ROM
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
What do you need:
At least 30% of battery
All Driver from above and unzipped driwer for "Download mode"
time
Now let's begin.
Install the USB driver.
Unzip The ROM and put it on your desktop.
Turn off your device and unplug it from USB (if its pluged in).
for Windows 7/Windows Vista/Windows XP: Install the SP Flash Tool Driver Auto Installer from above and jump to step 7.
go to "Device Manager (link for short guide)
now when you are in your device manager it'll be a little bit tricky. When you NOW plug in your device (it have to be turned off), a new "unknown" device will appear. It will be there only for a few seconds, so you habe to be quick. RIGHT-Click on this unknown device and then go to "Update driver" in preferences. Then choose the driver you had downloaded and unzippt on your desktop. Thats it!
Now start the FlashTool.exe, (I think which you'll find in your unzipped ROM in the "Upgrade tool" folder. And plug in your device (micro USB)).
Click on "Scatter loading" (like on the image above). Then go to your ROM (you know, on your desktop) and in folder "target_bin" choose this file: "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" (I am nbot shure if its the same name on all ROMs, but it has to be something with "scatter" in its name.
Click on "DA DL ALL WITH Cheksum" (without it, the device wont start after flashing and you have to flash all again) you'll see it on the pictures below:
The "FAC" - file will be propably not checked.
Just choose it in your ROM folder by yourself in target_bin folder:
Click on "Firmware -> Upgrade"
Then you'll see some pink lines loading. When the lines bekame yellow, you can skip the next step.
It can be, that after the pink lines the Flash Tool will stop and nothing will happen then. If it keeps for one minute you have to unplug your device for 30 seconds and than just plug in again. NOTHING ELSE!!!
When the green lines appears, just wait till its finished. You'll see it, when the green circle appears:
Unplug your device and restart. Don't panik, its multilingual and your language will be there (for shure), just click on the rigt chinese words in the first window which appears and scroll up.
After that you can easiely update your tablet to 4.4.2 with the OTA
Happy flashing =)
Easy Root your 4.4.2 KitKat ROM
HOWTO Root your 4.4.2 ROM:
At first you have to know, whats behind all the followigng steps.
It is not that easy to root this device with KitKat (at least at the moment).
At first you have to install an app, which uses a hack and pushs a file in /system.
next you start the installed app (which is in /system now) and with this app (Kinguser) you'll have Root rights
most users dont believe in chinese root apps. So you have to install an another Rootapp, the best is SuperSU (link ist below)
After you allow SuperSU the root rights, you can just uninstall the other two apps and enjoy the happiness of beeing rooted
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Now let's beginn:
1. Just download and install this file: Root_genious_General.apk
2. It will install a small tool, which can root your tablet. And it installs "Kinguser"
. It will ask you, to update your ROOT(1.0.23) to ROOT (1.1.33). It will be in chinese, just chose the right button and allow to update this tool.
3. A circle will appear with "ROOT" in it. "Push" the button and magic will happen (a progress bar) An yellow window will appear, in chinese, but you'll see, if it was a success then you'll see Kinguser installed on your device. (if it don't works for the first time, just try it again)
4. After that you need to reboot your device and download and install "SuperSU" from PlayStore.
5. Install SuperSU and then Kinguser will aks you, if you will allow SuperSU root rights. Chose "Yes" and now you have the rootrights. IF IT DOESN'T you have to reboot your device several times (don't know why, I needed several reboots and then it worked)
NOTE: I don't really know why, but it seems, like Kinguser do not recognize, that it has root permissions at the first time. I had to turn off the permission in Kinguser options, restart and give Kinguser the root permissions again, than restart again. Just play a little arround with whis option of Kinguser. Somehow it will work than. I had to do the game twice, and it worked both times. But really don't know why.
6. After that you need to update your binaries in SuperSU and reboot your device.
7. Then you can uninstall both chinese APPs (Kanguser can just be uninstalled with Titanium Backup) and you are rooted then

I am not really shure, but I think its the step 6, what caused the problem. The drivers have to be installed manually, when you are plug in your device. it's not enough to "put" them somewhere. try to do this step by step, like i tried to translate
You open your device manager, turn your device OFF, plug it then on USB and than watch, when they appears a new device. very quick (you have 1-3 seconds I think), rightclick on it and than go to "Propperties", or "options" (dont really know what there is in your language ). then "Update your drivers" and then choose the drivers manually.
I hope it will help.

Good evening.
as far as i know it is always a good idea to take the same build number,as you have. it can brick your device,because it could always be, that there are differences in the hardwre and also the drivers,between the builds.

The buildnumer is B6000, and the only other important thing is the "wifi" at the end. So take just this one:
[ROM] Yoga 8 B6000_A422_000_059_131219_WW_WIFI
All the numbers between, are just patch-versions of your b6000 wifi Tablet

yes just install minimal adb drivers, it'll still ask you to install it choose no instead.
For proper working of windroid make sure usb debugging is turned on and when your phone asks for granting permission to PC, grant it.
From the list of phones available if you choose your phone it'll give you an error happened with me, don't panic just press the drop down arrow to hide the phones list.
Now, you'll have 3 tabs choose commands tab, select reboot device if it works then you've succeeded if not then maybe install your device specific drivers.
Note that if you choose to flash any files it'll ask you to choose the file.
Hope This Helps

<QUESTION> Proper way of resetting a Rooted Fire HD 10 2017?

Hello,
I have a rooted Fire HD 10 2017 running on FireOS 5.6.0.0 since Christmas. Maybe I installed too many apps, not only is the space running out, the device is also running slow as well.
Therefore, I would like to to a reset and have the device rooted again.
My question is :
What are the proper steps of resetting a rooted Fire HD 10? Is it the same as a non-rooted device? ("Settings" --> "Device Options" --> "Reset to Factory Defaults"?)
or is it different for a rooted device? Anything I should watch out for?
Don't know if this matter, but I thought it might be helpful that I provide as much info as possible. I currently have "App Ops", "Shizuku Manager", "Xposed Installer" (for YouTube Adaway & YouTube Background Playback), "SuperSU" and "Google Play Store" installed.
Thank you very much for your help.
Cassie

Hi Cassie - I think I can help!
I've had to do this a few times now myself on my own rooted HD 10. You can't just reset the tablet from settings of you've rooted because you've actually changed the system files and while your user files and settings will be cleared and reset, any apps you disabled or any other big changes will stick (it took an hour and a half on the phone with an very nice Amazon customer support associate in Jamaica to find this out, lol).
Here's the best way that I know to reset your device:
1. Go to the Amazon support site and download the stock Fire HD 10 system files.
Note: Amazon updated their site a couple of days ago and now have the latest version of FireOS (5.6.2.0) posted. It's ok to upgrade/reinstall from an older version or the current version to the current version, but supposedly not ever good to go backwards (though, I just did this on my HD 8 tablet and had no problem, but ?* ...
If you need an older version of the OS, I believe someone posted a link with an archive where they had saved OS files the other day, but I just spent ten minutes trying to find it on this messy site and had no luck. :-/ If you need the most recent version before the current however, I have it and can throw it on G-Drive if you want.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. Make sure you have ADB and the Kindle/Fire USB drivers installed on your machine. You can get those from Amazon at the link provided here. (Actually, you may not need the drivers, but you do need ADB. I believe those drivers come with ADB. If you need help figuring out how to setup/start an ADB command prompt on your computer do a quick Google search or look on here or on that linked Amazon support site.)
3. Turn your HD 10 off and reboot it into recovery mode by holding down the power button and volume up button (the right volume button, closer to the power button/facing inward). Release as soon as you see the white Amazon logo. Helpful hint: to enter recovery mode on the HD 10 you must hold these buttons down from a completely powered-off state. On an HD 8 you can just hold the buttons down at any time regardless of the current power state.
4. Use the volume up key to move down to the second menu choice: "apply update from ADB." Press the power button to choose this option.
5. Connect your HD 10 to your computer with your USB cable. In your ADB command prompt (on your computer) type "ADB sideload" and then a space, and then the location of the recovery .zip file you downloaded from Amazon (in quotes) and press enter. So it will look something like this:
adb sideload "C:/Users/Cassie/Desktop/Amazon file.zip"
That's it! The system will load the stock OS files onto your tablet and will reboot and you should be good to go! Hopefully this is helpful!

Sorry, I've been offline for a few days. Hopefully you figured out what you needed and everything went smoothly I can't answer what the difference is between those two links for version 5.6.0.0 that Dan provided (thanks for doing that!). If you want the latest version of the OS (with 'Show Mode'), the link in my post to the Amazon support site has the file you need. Here is a direct download link.

Hi Richard,
Thank you so much for taking the time to help and to reply. You didn't have to do all those, but you did, and I really appreciate it! Thank you very much!
Your instructions are very clear, I will give it a try tomorrow. I will start backing up all my data tonight first.
I have 2 more questions to ask if it's not too much:
1) Do you know if the newest 5.6.2.0 can still be rooted if I were to upgrade to that one? I read 5.6.1.0 can for sure be rooted still, do you have any experience rooting 5.6.2.0?
2) If not (or unknown yet), in your opinion, what do you think it's the best firmware to be used on our Fire HD 10 in terms of experience (bugs, smoothness, crashes, ram management..etc)? What do you personally use?
Thank you very much again for time & help! I really appreciate it!

Hi there! Sorry for the delay - I've been offline for a few days. Hope everything went well/is going well! Happy to help if you still need any assistance.
To answer your two questions:
1) Do you know if the newest 5.6.2.0 can still be rooted if I were to upgrade to that one? I read 5.6.1.0 can for sure be rooted still, do you have any experience rooting 5.6.2.0?
- Yes! the current/newest version (5.6.2.0) can still be rooted. This is the guide I have used (several times now) to root my HD 10.
2) If not (or unknown yet), in your opinion, what do you think it's the best firmware to be used on our Fire HD 10 in terms of experience (bugs, smoothness, crashes, ram management..etc)? What do you personally use?
- I definitely think the newest firmware is the best. Show Mode isn't really that amazing, but overall the latest firmware seems to be smooth.
Beyond rooting, here are additional updates/enhancements/tweaks that I've found very worthwhile when setting up my HD 10 (gathered from the wonderfully bright and helpful people on this forum - just my own order/ and experience - shared openly with everyone in case someone might find this helpful):
Install Google Play Store.
Install a better launcher! I think some of the top/cleanest/currently most popular launchers are Nova Launcher, Action Launcher, Evie Launcher. If you want a "stock Android" experience there is the Google launcher. And also the Microsoft Launcher surprisingly isn't that bad/is well organized and clean overall. I use Action Launcher. Once you install your new launcher, and open it at least one time, then you can go in and disable Amazon bloatware and disable/freeze the stock FireOS "Home Pages" launcher, which will allow you to then choose your new launcher as the default launcher in settings. You have to open the new launcher at least once however and then freeze the Fire launcher/Home Pages.
Disable/freeze Amazon software you don't need or won't use. This is the thread I used to learn how to do this. But basically all you need is this spreadsheet. You can filter out all the programs you don't want to touch and then just copy and paste column B into your "ADB" command prompt/shell terminal (on your PC/Mac) and it will quickly disable them. If you intend to keep and use Alexa, be sure to read the descriptions and not disable any programs that she needs to run. Additionally, here is a new thread with an updated guide to disabling stock software - may be a better option, but I haven't tried it yet.
your
Fix widgets in new launcher.
If your HD 10 has those annoying "Special Offer" ads on the lock screen, you can follow the instructions I wrote here to quickly remove them for good.
Install "Xposed Framework" - this allows you to have even more control over your device/various enhancements.
You can install Google Assistant if you want (I have it on mine and it works simultaneously with Alexa with no issues!).
Finally, I'd recommend some of the memory/RAM enhancement apps discussed here.
Other Helpful Tablet Setup Mentionables:
This is a good (root-required) app to quickly freeze and unfreeze apps.
This is my favorite file manager. And the root add-on. My other favorite file manager.
Lucky Patcher can be helpful to bring out extra features in an app, or to get rid of pesky advertisements.. If you're feeling completely unethical, you can get many cracked/free apps from Mobilism.org (you have to sign up to log in first).
You can generally trust that apps/apks downloaded from APK Mirror are safe/free from viruses.
If you ever need to test a downloaded file/app to make sure it is clean/safe, Virus Total is a very helpful, quick service that will scan your file and look for malware across many databases.

Hisense 43A6H Google tv rootable?

Hisense 43A6H Google tv rootable?
Technically speaking anything that runs on android can achieve root access. But I think you’re asking if there’s active development. I recently bought a Hisense 65” U6h myself, and there is no development that I have found . If all you need is root, try to get your hands on the stock boot.img from the factory rom. If there’s any updates for your model download it on the computer extract the boot.img and then copy it to a usb drive plug the drive into your tv install magisk apk and use the boot.img on the flash drive to do the patch. Would you mind if I ask what you are trying to accomplish with root access?
well I'm actually trying to remove system apps the easy way by using Mi Explorer and improve system performance and free up some internal storage space so I have enough room to play morrowind by the way sorry for the no spaces I'm not really sure how to use this remote control microphone on my Hisense 43a6h Google TV. honestly there's a lot more stuff I want to do with it as well though like using Viper for Android and among other things like my God VPN repeater hotspot. thanks

Hey. I’m so sorry about the delayed reply I haven’t been on the forum too often lately. I’m not too familiar with the pkg compression personally. If you were able to pull that boot.img you should be able to just use that in magisk as the boot image to patch. I’ll log in my computer soon and try to download it and see what happens on my Linux system. How did you get that firmware file from them, what did you ask? I might just end up doing the same lol. I have been using adb to remove things such as google tv home launcher replaced with premium projectivy

Mine is the U6h but is essentially the same. For these purposes at least. The main difference between the two is a different type of panel .
I wonder if you have the blinking power light issue like I do after using adb to fully remove google home launcher. I took a sharp knife and one of those square rubber feet for furniture and cut it down to size and put it on top of that light. I’d rather do that than have the stock launcher even having a chance of re installing itself
Wow cool which launcher are you using? Whats the stock launcher filename? I'm going to try to unlock the bootloader soon then I guess I'll learn how to dump the whole os and dump the boot.img I guess idk what im doing but ive done this before with mtk devices just not a tv.

yeah dumping/compiling is above my skill set. The launcher I use is Projectivy. I paid for the premium version to support the dev because I really like it, but the only feature premium adds is being able to choose a wallpaper from storage. Also the package name is going to always be listed below the name of the app when you are in settings>apps> highlighted app...... google tv launcher I removed with adb shell and command adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx if you end up disabling the google launcher I highly recommend also disabling set up wizard afterwards. Otherwise, the app will re-download and you will be playing whack a mole.
I just tried disabling the launcherx and it disabled the SETTINGS button on the remote which is a deal breaker. How do I fix this? I like using Nova Launcher instead of the stock launcher.
Hello good sir.
@TheMadScientist Hello good day mate. ;p So do u know how to get this working on google tv? I disabled the launcherx and it disabled the settings menu as well.
Thanks

Not really. When I looked into them was when they really started hitting the market. I had one of the 55 inch. But got rid of it pretty quick once I got my samsung
@TheMadScientist I plugged in my male to male usb and it never got detected plus sp flash tool i had isnt compatible with MT9612 MEDIATEK CHIP. Can u give some android 11 usb adb google tv advice? Is the mt9612 emmc or nand?
I got the bootloader unlocked but no root yet.
