Minimum brightness is not good, I have also a Redmi Note 5, and is comparable like this:
0% of j4+ brightness is like 40% of brightness on note 5
.
I don't use the minimum brightness at all, even in the dark. With higher brightness (for me) it's way easier to read.
I use 20-80 brightness.

Auto brightness works better than any phone I have ever owned. Sort of cool to actually watch the brightness adjustment bar move as it adjusts brightness.
Minimum brightness is perfect on this phone

Minimum brightness is great, but the problem lies in the slider. To my eyes, the brightness drops too rapidly in the 20% part of the left side, while there's only small change in brightness if you go from 25% to 75%.

I personally do not like the brightness level on the Galaxy S6. I typically use a third-party app (Night Mode) to get the brightness to be lower. The stock brightness doesn't do it for me.
Wrong thread sorry

I do have a complaint about the adaptive brightness on the 10L. It seems to decide it should put the brightness almost all the way down from time to time which can be annoying. My other Android 11 devices have adaptive brightness on but do not react so strongly.
Minimum brightness appears to be able to get darker than some other phones I have here.
