Hi all;
I have an android multimedia HU on my car. It is sold under the brand Navimex .
It has an 8" display, running on android 7.1.2 . Cpu is Cortex A9 ( PX3 ) . 2 GB DDR3 RAM and 16 GB memory.
Although there is DVR support , I couldnt manage to record road videos by DVR.
I have two DVR cameras.
One is with SD card slot and it works with its own USB DVR car apk. I tried it on other cars' android systems it worked well . But in my car's HU no video and no recording
Second is without SD card slot. It shows the road ahead live but never records it.
it shows but does not record. There is enough free space on flash memory, on USB 2 device, or putting a 4 GB SD card as an SD card or GPS card. Either way it doesnt record
Can anybody help me? How can it record videos ?
PS: As a beginner, Im not allowed to post links of the cameras and HU , even the youtube videos
Did you solved the issue with the dvr usb camera? I have the same issue.

hi
I have a xda2 pocket pc with a 22pin(USB/Serial) interface.
is there any way to use the interface to plug in a multimedia card reader or a digital camera?
I want to be able to transfer my digital camera pictures straight to my pda.
I don't think so, I've looked into it, but from what I've found the XDA doens't have the right Hardware to act as a USB host, it can only act as a client. There might be some way to hook up a serial interface, but I don't know...
My camera has a 128MB SD card, and my XDA has a 1GB SD card so I'm sorted anyway
I dont think you can do that but if your camera uses cf cards it is possible to obtain an sd to cf card adaptor, you slot the sd card into the cf adaptor then slot the cf adaptor into the camera, when you wish to transfer pictures you remove the sd card from adaptor and place it in your xda. I dont know if this helps but here is the link.

thank you
When I was choosing a camera, I looked for one that will use SD/MMC card. No problems with interface at all! SD card that came with camera was showing as full of normal, viewable JPEGs. There is a lot of free memory in XDA to serve as buffer between SD card and another SD card (we aren't talking about gigs of photos here )
If camera is already bought but uses CF, there is a "backpack" add-on device for XDA II which adds a spare battery, CF slot and VGA output. I have one. So CF card can be copied.
The only problem is that backpack is quite expensive - may be worth to change camera instead - they're getting cheaper each month.
Hi,
I have been looking round the forums for a specific question and it appears you always have the answers but just not quite exactly what I am after, so someone could help me now.
First some background: I have just bought an Eonon ARM head unit which is running WinCE6 with a very nice shell on it, what I am trying to do is play movies on the device either through the USB or the 'other' SD card slot (not the GPS slot).
I can play videos via the GPS card slot using Vplayer and this does not need to be installed but only plays videos from the GPS SD card. Vplayer doesn't see the 'other' SD Card slot or the USB, The thing is, I don't want to keep swapping the GPS in and out when I want to watch a movie.
I read somewhere that it sounds like my head unit has 2 IC mainsboard... so my questions is: is there any way to either have WinCE recognise the USB/ 'other' SD card OR have the shell not only play music from the USB/SD card but also Videos?
When I use Total Commander I can't see the other SD card or the USB even when they're plugged in.
Thanks so much in advance

That's all about it: basically there are 2 different units in one case. WinCE is for the GPS part, the other for the multimedia part.

Thank you jwoegerbauer, Is there no way I can edit the player on the multimedia side to play movies via USB/other SD card?
I am in the identical boat. D5153. Very disappointing if this isn't possible! Or I'd like to be able to have a different music player for the music on a thumbdrive/sd card, this way I don't need an ipoop to interface with the headunit efficiently.
Hello,
I have a sandisk 128 gb micro sd card class 10 and I use Open Camera as recording device.
I formatted the micro sd card with exFAT and the recording stops approx in 10 minutes when the 3,8GB are reached.
The App Open Camera allows me to record unlimitedly but there is no limitation because of filesize.
Could anyone help me to record for over 10 minutes(more than 3,8 GB)?
Is there a nice camera app which gives me control to locked focus and unlimited recording?
Also, sometimes the movie stops automaticly when other slow sd cards can not get the speed of 4K recording. How could I add a "restart recording" function?
THANK you for your help!
Sincerely
Sala

Looking for a single DIN flip out head unit ideally with the following features:
- AM/FM radio
- DVD/CD player
- Reverse camera support
- External mic support
- Aux Video input support
- Dashcam support
- SDXC support (SD cards at or above 64gb, can only seem to find support for up to 32 gb, even better if there are 2 ports, not really a big deal if a USB HDD can be used)
- USB HDD support
- iPod integration
- Full Play Store support (think I read somewhere that certain chips used by the Chinese manufacturers aren't compatible with all apps?)
- 2 GB RAM (can only find 1 GB)
- rear USB ports
- ideally true HD resolution or at least 1024x800
I plan on getting a digital TV USB dongle as well.
Does such a thing exist?
This one almost checks all the marks:

Just wish it didn't have those silly "gauges" in the display.
I saw some video (
)
that using some additional adapter, we can use 2 sim cards and also 1 SD card in the hybrid card slot.
Has anyone tried to do this? Does this work perfectly?
If yes, then my next query is what all things can be moved to SD Card for K20 MIUI12? All apps, music, camera pictures, etc?

If you have that video - can you post the link, and where to buy that adapter
My Mi 9T is no more a daily driver but I did use a similar adapter earlier on my previous phone
SD card provides additional storage for the stuff like your documents, downloaded music, movies and so, that you otherwise be saved to Internal memory - but not to expand or instead of /data partition (being used for installation of applications)
Also, SD card is generally slower than Internal memory. Check does your Camera app support saving to SD card (instead of to Internal memory).
If it does, still google about the SD card speed specs vs requirements for video resolutions - if SD is not fast enough, you would have troubles recording videos
Xiaomi K20 doesn't have a slot dedicated to memory card , nor Xiaomi K20 Pro . This means the maker didn't design sensors to read data from memory card , transmission line to process data to CPU and vice versa . So in case you had done tricks to compact memory card in SIM card slots , no way it can be read . It's like a DVD player reading DVD disc , you can do trick to put Blu-ray disc in but the player's reading eye , format processing chip were not designed for , so it failed definitely .
You mentioned to K20 MIUI12 but I see the video of your link shows the different phone with dedicated memory card . I have Samsung Tab S6 having 2 slots of SIM card cobedding with memory card slot , so you should do tricks like in the video .
Search your phone to see it has memory card slot or not , please .

Per specification, it's dual SIM only, no support for SD:

Thank you for telling me this. I just checked by trying to insert a MicroSD card lying with me. It does NOT support micro SD. It only has space for 2 NANO-sims. MicroSD card is too big to be inserted.
Thank you, I just avoided wasting money on a hybrid adapter.
