If bootloader is unlocked, you can flash new firmware to your phone. Make sure all driver are installed (Motorola Devices Manager, Google usb driver). You also need newest fastboot command.
About firmware, you can find Retail India (Asia) single or dual SIM in General section. And here, you can find the instruction to flash firmware via fastboot, too.
There's one thing you should take attention: the modem (non-hlos.bin) must be flashed twice (1st flash will show error, 2nd flash will succeed).
After flash without any fail, you should enter recovery mode and do a factory reset, cache wipe.
Do it at your own risk.

Not at all, bro. I've flashed almost regions to my XT1572: retla (ds), reteu, retus, retasia (ds). Modem was always the problem between these regions, therefore, I think retcn also needs 2nd flash.

There's always a risk, but it should be fairly safe, the two devices are almost identical.

Yes, it is. If no fail happens, you will run on 1572 ROM. I sometimes flash US ROM to my 1572 and it runs normally. Read and do it carefully.

yes, you need to be on stock brazil rom.
i RSD's brazil's 4.4.4 then did the update to 5.0.2, then manually flashed the modems. Then i flashed TWRP, so now i am sitting on a regular rooted xt1058 5.0.2 moto x. The warning people are giving is that once you do this, like previous updates, you cannot RSDlite back to a 4.4.4 build. This is not an issue for us, as we can just flash stuff within TWRP, like krypton, for example.

Need a little help please:
I'm now on cm12, flashed over stock KK rooted (twrp, unlocked BL). I have a nandroid backup of my 4.4.4 rooted made before flashing CM.
If i restore that and then go to the RSD process, will I have any problems "downgrading"?

The only "downgrade" people are talking about is bootloader version. OS version does not matter.
If you were stock KK, then you probably have the KK BL which is the most recent BL besides the 5.0.2 release. Flashing the 5.0.2 release just means you can no longer flassh the stock 4.4 SBF package because that attempts to install the older bootloader. you can still flash the rom associated with the SBF package though twrp, if that makes sense

Very risky flashing a different carriers boot loader and gpt.bin.I would just wait a little bit longer.
Again, please be aware that if you flash another carrier/model 4.4.4 and flash the brazilian OTA, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT try to downgrade back to your original stock model/carrier 4.4.4 to take the OTA meant for your device
These instructions are fairly easy to follow and people assume it's just as easy to get back where they started but it's not, if you flash the brazilian OTA then be prepared to wait for a leaked 5.0.2 SBF for your model/carrier, there's no guarantee that it will be leaked and even if it is you have to hope that the gpt/bootloader version is the same or newer than the ones in the brazilian OTA
It does work fine but know the risks and don't expect XDA to be able to fix everything

To solve this problem you must:
1st unlock the bootloader
2nd flash a twrp recovery
3rd root the phone

1) extract thE contents of this (4uT0_r35t0r3_t0_6.0.zip) zip and the 6.0 fastboot flashable zip in a empty folder.
2) turn the phone up, turn on USB debugging.
3) connect the phone and run "Auto Restore Script.bat"
now your phone will boot to bootloader and flashing will start.
##Some useful info.:-##
1) if flashing stucks at any of the point do no disconnect instead let fastboot show error message and reboot again to bootloader and then again launch "Auto Restore Script.bat".
2) if phone stucks on bootlogo keep power button pressed to restart booting and done.
Thank You

Hi guys!
NOTE: I got to know that Marshmallow version of H818 is unrootable. Will be releasing new aboot patch for lollipop.
I got the aboot of Lollipop now. It will be patched and uploaded. Then you can root using your usual root method and then flash the patched aboot.

I thank my friend @cerg2010cerg2010 for helping me out in patching the aboot.
ONLY FOR DEVELOPERS
This is the method I followed for K10. K10 has two qualcomm phones .i.e. K420DS & K420N. K420DS & K420N are identical except that K420DS has more RAM. I have the K420DS phone. I found a vulnerable version of firmware for K420N which is rootable and does'nt belong to my country. Got the aboot patched. I went on and flashed the aboot.
Result: It worked! I got into TWRP!
This is the method you need to follow too. Have Patience!
So there is no fool proof method that you will get bootloader unlocked on the firmware you expect it too. If you want to get bootloader unlocked get ready to take risks.

Hi,
When i click on your link i can download this version H818P20g_00_1014.kdz
Or it's a Marshmallow version and not Lolillop version, is it not a problem? or perhaps i don't understand the step.
Thank you

Hmmm
My variant was H818P
My Rom Camuix4
And your answer is no boot logo no download mode no charging icon
Just when i press the power button it will vibrate very short
I sent phone to LG Service hope they won't find i changed something in my phone
I sent my phone to LG because of bootloop problem one week ago and they changed my mother board it was 510 and now is 611
Important things is i flashed this file twice
At first to mmcblk0c8(it was my typing fault)
At the second time to mmcblk0p8

How did you find out your aboot partition?
You should be careful on what you type out and which partition you flash on. It happened to me once. I flashed the patched aboot for my phone it was perfectly fine until I flashed( a wrong partition? ) a TWRP I built which bricked my phone. No download mode nothing. I sent it to repair. They repaired it for free.

The very first mistake you did is flash it over CamUIX 4 ROM. Did you follow the guide properly? I told you to downgrade to this. Then flash the aboot.

The guy who requested me for the patched aboot sent me the aboot file from H818P20g_00_1014. So download the KDZ I mentioned in the guide and then flash the aboot.

Don't come to conclusions mate. The guy who tried it and bricked his device has CamUIX 4 ROM installed. I explicitly mentioned in the guide to downgrade to the lower version of Android. I attached a link to the file too... It's not my mistake if people don't read the guide properly and blindly do things.
The firmware link you provides is marshmallow rom and its can't be rooted now.how to do your steps because the 1st one is wrong.

Nice note. You will release another aboot patch for lollipop without lollipop firmware ?
maybe you want to link them to the lollipop firmware ? https://lg-firmwares.com/download-file/?fileId=706

Nice Note  When I will post the patched aboot for lollipop then I will post the link to the firmware. The current patched aboot I published works for Marshmallow.

Question: If i use your patched aboot for marshmallow on my rom, it's the stock rom V20g-EUR-xx does it work or it's better to do with the link you provide?
Is it possible to rollback to 6.0.1 from 7.1.1?
Ps- I have an unlocked bootloader.
If you have twrp recovery then you can install any 6.01 debloated or full ROM available here as zip files, it is not possible to flash an official 6.01 ROM through fastboot or rsd, it may brick your device.
Please stay in Nougat...
Many people (include me) when downgrade the version.
The phone is dead and without solution...
I buy a new phone.
there is a form to downgrade but its not 100% out of brick.... if you are in official 7.1.1 you have to put another rom.... like lineage or aex ... 7.1.1 then downgrade with a custom rom 6.0.1... later install with fastboot the offcial 6.0.1. plz DONT DOWNGRADE FROM OFFICIAL 7.1.1 TO 6.0.1 (i havent test that... but some people says that it work).
You can try unless you dont want to had brick your device.. Boot loader might have got upgraded along with OS and when u downgrade, even boot loader will be downgraded and it gets corrupted..

Hey Shibin_1985, Before installing official 7.1.1 using fastboot, I made a backup of 6.0.1 using TWRP. I now have 7.1.1 running with TWRP. Can I restore 6.0.1 backup?

U can downgrade to 6.0.1 with in twrp.. No matter u downgrade from stock 7.1.1 or from twrp 6.0.1, boot loader is gonna get downgraded when flashing via adb.. More than 150 devices are hard bricked due to download grading.. Once bricked, there is no other way to get it back to life except jtag emmc flashing (if in India) or to change Mother board which is almost half the price of new MXP.. My bro downgraded MXP and my device was dead for around 2 months.. Later on i got it Jtag flashed from Pune.. There is no Blank flash files available for MXP yet.. So beware.. !!! Don't just mess up a working device, when there is not much solutions to bring it back to life !
Phone is heating :/
Hey friends! My phone is HEATING very much and idk if thats the reason... But i made the same, install a 7.1.1 version and now im in dotOS rom but the same thing happens with any rom...
Does anyone feel the same?

U'll be doing a mistake if u try to downgrade from Nougat 7.1.1 to Marshmallow 6.0.1.. And heating could be of various reasons.. Check the running of background apps, use custom kernels and see ot you can also try battery saving scripts.. It may turn of few cores and will turn it back only when it's required to be on.. So device wont get heated up and consumes less battery..
My XT1563 is no longer recognized by any PC after update to 7.1.1, also turbopower not working, tried different pcs, different cables, hard reset, nothing happens, anyone succeded to downgrade?? anyways... i won't be able to downgrade or flash, or anything if my phone is no longer recognized by any PC ! OMG !!

Try reinstalling all the drivers of PC.. Try if its recognizing phone in bootloader mode.. It'll show if usb is connected.. If that isnt working, then youtlr micro usb port might got damaged.. I have the same case.. My mobile is getting charged.. But not getting connected in USB mode.. Out of 5 pins only 2 is required for charging and rest 3 are required for USB to work.. Any damage of any 1 pin might mess up the port.. I have to replace the port now.
Has anyone managed to do it? I can not stand my x play in 7.1, I feel it will stop so slow

Don't do it via adb.. You can use 6.0.1 ROMs with in TWRP.. Else you'll end up in hard brick and there is no solution to fix it other than changing Mother Board or to get the EMMC jtag flashed.

Flash twrp and flash roms of your choice.. Just don't downgrade using adb.. You'll regret it 200%
Hello, in my case the patient is XT1562 with stock Nougat. So far I've unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP from here. Then, I downloaded stock XT1562 6.0.1 MPD24.107-52 Europe from here. I tried to install it through TWRP but it says 'Invalid zip file format'. After some research it seems that it's not possible to install stock by custom recovery.
To the point then - How to flash stock 6.0.1 if using adb will brick the device? By fastboot?

Those are stock images. You can't flash them through TWRP. You can extract it and flash the system.img but idk how to do that.

Flashing Stock ROM of MM by adb (downgrading) will hard brick the device for 100%.. Once bricked, there is no solution to fix it other than changing Mother Board or Jtag Flashing (only very few does it in very few countries).. You can download twrp flashable MM ROM file and flash it.. You can find Debloated stock ROM's in xda.
