hello guys, i want to learn to develop on my device ( LG k8 2017)
there is not any method to root this device, so i want to try but i do not what i need to learn for this,
any sugestion?

I had a problem with the update for yoga 2 so I installed kitkat and then updated it to a lollipop. Now I have Ver. S100255.
Now my question is how to install the recovery twrp permanently?
Do I need to unlock the bootloader? If so, how?

If somebody knows how to install on lollipop recovery twrp, unlock bootloader and then root device please write a instruction step by step.

i can't flash the 1380f img with 'fastboot flash' on my 1380F
it remains at ' fastboot cmd waiting ... ' and it does nothing...

In this topic for yoga 3 they write you need to unlock first but I don' t now how.

I tried to unlock the boot loader of the axon 7 which I believe is required to root the device, never been successful. I tried following the root method without unlocking the boot loader, but never was successful. May be I am naive at rooting, but I am still a fan of it. Please help root my axon 7 with the simplest steps.
I typed the code into my keypad and it went to system settings and it said I can't bootloader unlock this phone. Apparently I need this to grant permission for root. How do I root this particular phone? I managed to get a systemless root on my galaxy s5 by using TWRP to flash Majisk, although TWRP doesn't work for this phone. How can I actually root this phone. I would prefer to root with Majisk but honestly, I'd appreciate to know any way that I can really. Much appreciated!

you cannot root this device!
There is a version of TWRP recovery for this phone which you have to flash to the boot partition, but I think in order to do this you need to have your bootloader unlocked. If your service menu says this option is disabled, then you're out of luck. :/ Sorry.
1. Go to Sony Developer site. Get bootloader unlockin code for your IMEI.
2. Dowload flashtool 9.25 with drivers.
3. In Developer menu tick allow OEM unlocking and USB debug.
I did it for my. It was not allowed to unlock bootloader first, but flashtool does it (in two steps)

old post I know, but did you get this rooted at all? as I have the phone (5 years now) and want to get a different OS on it to de-google it - but I'm new to it all, I have flashed firmware on other devices but never ventured into mobiles

Try this. Settings-developer options-OEM unlock.
OEM unlock should unlock the bootloader on the zte blade Z971, android version 7.1.1

You have to unclock the bootloader first to make any nasty changes in the device. If you have an unlocked bootloader & custom recovery installed then you don't need a pc for that purpose. But if your phone is in factory condtion, then you must need a pc. That's the general method most of us use.
It's too easy and you can do this in 15 minutes if you have the unlock code, drivers & fastboot installed on pc and twrp image file ready.
