I use about 10 apps in parallel.
Many of them are network related tools. I do not feel any delay switching between all of them as fast as few seconds in I need to do.
Browsing, watching videos, snapping pictures, everything works fine.
The only thing that I do not use is any kind of social media. Therefore I don`t have any facebook, instagram, snapchat, twitter, tik-tok and whatever others of the kind. So I can`t give adequate opinion for the people who would use them with this phone.

There 3gb model doesn't work well with multitasking. If I'm watching a YouTube video and get a WhatsApp message, by the time I reply 2 lines, the YouTube app needs to reopen and the video, and ads have to be reloaded and started from the beginning.
8 have 500MB free RAM, the OS is taking most of it. It's ridiculous that 3GB is not enough. Maybe 4GB is. But I'm waiting for some good people to whip out a lineage os build for this phone.

Hello, I'm creating an account in order to give my real-life review of this phone. The previous phones I had were HTC One M8, LG G6.
Please keep in mind that I am a light user.
I do not play games on the device and the most used apps on my phone are
- Messages
- YouTube
- Outlook
- Firefox
- Microsoft Excel
Apps launch very quickly, and the animations are very fast. But it is obviously slower than a Snapdragon 845, for example. Reloading a feed such as YouTube may take a little bit of delay.
Nothing that I can consider annoying.

Its fast! You may not save the milliseconds you need but it gets the job done for those urgent burst moments of work. For example, I was on a VoIP call, saw a nice scenery, snapped it instantly with HDR+ ennhanced (Read the camera review for that ) and shared it over to the person via Telegram without even breaking a sweat kind of fast! You get the point!

PS: This is not a how-fast-does-the-camera-app-launch thread. Overall apps in general.

Have been trying out a Lot of Basic Apps, Mostly Social Networking ( Fb, Instagram, whatsapp) or basic things Like Uber, Gmail, And of course Android Auto (Maps), etc.
Compared the same with my son's OnePlus 5, a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (both flagships) And seriously didnt notice a noticeable lag anywhere.
None of my Apps are in Ram ever..
Mostly Greenified.

I feel like this thing could run the desktop version of chrome!
Seriously. I'm able to play pubg while watching videos on youtube. Or message and youtube which is much more likely use case. The size of the display helps to manage the app windows. Basically if you're someone who does everything on their phone this is for you.
Switching between apps on Android 9 stutters a bit. Now im on Android 10 Beta 6. Switches flawlessly. No stutters. Pure speed.
I've owned the 8GB of RAM Tencent version for several months now and I have not yet seen a single app need to reload when pulled from the background! I can't even imagine how well the 12GB models do. It's insane. My previous phone (a Galaxy Note 5) couldn't even keep like 5 apps in the background without reloading.

Apps loads very fast courtesy of UFS 2.1 storage. Game loading times are so fast that you don't get to read game tips during loading screen.
Data transfer speeds are very good. My last device used to stutter while transferring data to or from SD card and internal. No storage related lags here. Good storage is must for seamless user experience on Android.
Ufs 2.1 is a blessing. Every app opens in a blink.
