I rooted my phone and had first flashed OctO MM 6.0.1 and the camera was not working. I even tried the apk flies but no luck.
I changed my ROM to 5.1 and the camera does not work on it either?
Any leads on how to solve this issue??

I would suggest flashing pure stock to see if it's hardware related.

I encountered one bug today. Suddenly my front camera result become very poor. I can't fix it. I installed RR-5.8.5,5.8.4,5.7.4 final and also lineage OS 14.1 latest build. but couldn't fix it. Before today morning , my selfie camera work fine in all the roms I mentioned above. why could it happen? how can i fix it.??
Please fix this problem on los/rr and other roms.

no there is problem with that rom
Video recording doesn't work.
Neither stock nor installed camera apps...
I am using rr. There are no such problem.

my friend just pull the battery out when the device is running and then put it back and turn the device on againe this problem happened to me and I searched for solution for very long time and finally I find the solution by Coincidence hhhhh
I'm having the same problem with RR since about 4 months. Can't use my rear camera. It is being detected but can't be used (tried any camera app). When I installed RR, it worked. I have this error since changing my display.
Try to Google it, there are some unofficial fixes out there but I'm not sure if they're really working. I would regard an official fix, but this will have to wait I think.
Such bug has already been fixed with each ROMs' respective latest builds.
Mine too I got a distorted camera but whenever I capture it captures normally, I haven't tried using other camera apps

Yesterday I was able to unlock the bootloader so I installed the Mokee rom, then I flashed through twrp the anxcamera and the front camera stopped working. Anyone knows if they are not compatible?or how to fix it? Now I can't use the front camera.
Or I'll just try another rom, can you suggest me a good stable rom?

After installing it everything works fine except the camera it's not opening
